Print label & remove carbon (black sheet) from label. set dry iron on medium heat, place the label on the fabric, cover with cloth (preferably cotton) press iron on label for 10 seconds. be careful not to move the iron, this may dislodge the label from its position. Repeat 3-4 times with a focus on the label corners, allowing sufficient cooling time between repetitions.

You should place a piece of paper over the label/thin cloth to protect it and iron over that.

Cool. Remember to put a t towel over it as your ironing. Mine was ok as it thick paper but some have pointed out not all are as thick paper.

Apparently, you remove the black carbon film, you set the ion to a "NON-steam" setting, on the synthetic setting (around 60 %) use a cotton cloth like a handkerchief or baking paper and apply that to the top of the label. Apply the heat for about 10 seconds. The directions are terrible but the info is available as this is the source of where I got it from. We are labeling all the garments and fabric-based furniture in a nursing home.
I hope this clarifies this even more...

why do you need to label furniture? Do seniors bring their own ones? Just curious as I might end up in one of those one day.

Thanks for this. You're quite right, the instructions regarding the black film wasn't clear. Daughter starts school shortly and uniforms need to be labelled. Cheers.
