Spectacular! Andrea. Love watching your recipes which are spectacular and your presentation is full of love and spectacular. I remember very much when you took us for mushroom hunting. You should take us for truffle hunting. Taking your invitation, I may one day pop at your place. Love.
Thanks for another great idea! I made candied figs earlier this year. I think if I put a slit in the bottom I can add the cinnamon first on the tip of my finger, then the toasted almond, and lemon peel. I can probably still stack them on the bay leaves, although the candied figs will stick to the leaves. Thank Nonna Palma too! I'm going to try a couple right now (without the bay leaf.)
I live in NYC. In my neighborhood, almost every family has one or several figs trees in their front yards. I see abundant figs growing in their healthy, vibrant trees. It seems that figs are really easy to grow.
@@Spectacular-cuoredicioccolato Years ago we would stuff dates with cream cheese and wrap it in roast beef or other cured meats. Another old recipe that I never see is rumaki. The simple combination of a couple of different flavors (chicken liver and water chestnut wrapped in bacon)comes together like many of your recipes .... I think this one will go along side of them ..now this all has has me thinking of artichokes again ~=8-)
A little tip. We in Aegean region of Turkey dip the figs in hot thyme solution. The antimicrobic properties of thyme prevent infection and fungi and rottening of figs.
ciao my friend, mio piace tuo canale very much. honestly. tu sei molto simplice and I learned a lot of recipes from you. per favore if you can to make a recipe of cacio e pepe with something different from cacio formaggio because I can't find it in Inghilterra. Grazie prego ciao
The best way is to dry the figs whole for 2 days , then get a bucket of sea water and boil the figs for 1 hour then to dry them again for 1 to day's in the hot sun. The sea salt intensified the flavour and texture and makes them taste much better and they last 4X longer.
That's a great new (old) recipe for figs. Thanks to Nonna Palma and to you for bringing it to us. Needless to say it's Spectacular. You are amazing!

They're the highest sugar content of any fruit and yes they are a flower.
@@BlackJesus8463 It's natural sugar, not processed sugar.
@@dwaynewladyka577 Maybe it's too healthy.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now I am back in Thailand 🙃 let’s see what ingredients I can found
That's cool. I've never had a fig last more than a second after picking. 🤣🤣✌
😂 I know 🤪 waiting is the most difficult thing to do
If you have 10 figs trees in your yard, you will be able to save a few for drying?
I hope he can 😉
So sweet 😊
