Hi Maliaat! I recommend first practice saying the setences and repeating after me, then try changing the setences by switching the vocabulary. My vocabulary lessons are designed for people to watch more than once to practice. I think you should watch at least 3 to 4 times if not more, and you can also write the setences to help you memorize.
I have a question...I've seen that in most of the Cdramas they propose saying "wo xi huan ni" that means "I like you" But we know that we use "I love you" for proposing and that's "wo ai ni" in chinese...then why do they use "wo xihuan ni" in chinese? Although they mean the same!
If you are asking someone to marry you, then I think you should say "wǒ ài nǐ" instead of "wǒ xǐhuan nǐ". It's hard for me to really say without knowing what is happening in the drama.
