I’m definitely giving this a try next time I do some quilting. Using the ruler as a guide is a great way to make sure you don’t accidentally stretch the painters tape out and get a wobbly edge or weird angle. Thanks for another great video!
Hi Mathew, I started using painters tape a couple of years ago, game changer!, for those baby quilts and lap quilts, no more running off to the long armer. Love the hair!
I love this idea! I just finished a quilt top for my grandson. I like the look of straight line quilting, but just a hair off and it can look wonky. I plan on using this method. Brilliant!❤️

My mistake when I tried to use painters tape was to put tape on the entire quilt rather than just a few rows. The tape did not stick well the further I got out from the center. I’ll definitely use just a few rows at a time the next time.

Masking tape comes in a huge variety of widths. Got me a variety set a while back. Changed my quilting life 😂

Very clever idea. I don't quilt but I have a friend that does. I'll pass your idea along to her. I love your shirt. I do hand sew in hems on pants.
