You were so confuse about Hyper Sonic. That transformation is only from the game Sonic 3 and Knuckles and was never in another game after that but Hyper Sonic look different in the game. His Hyper form is Sonic flashing different colours like pink, white, yellow, green, red and blue. Also Sonic's yellow form is called Super Sonic and not Golden Sonic. Chaos Control let's sonic stop time but he doesn't really use it that much. Shadow was the first one to use it and Sonic was able to copy it in Sonic Adventure 2. Pablo Hernandez you know what’s funny when sonic defeated the god of destruction in sonic generations in base form and when super sonic defeated Solaris that exists in the past present and future and was said that can consume universes like they are nothing or that time when Super sonic defeated the eggman machine in sonic rush that was designed to merge 2 universes together like nothing. I love how humble, modest, and respectful he is. He seemed wowed and intrigued by every move Sonic made. It was a great reaction to a great battle.
Breaking down the fight: Sonic probably manages to deal damage to goku because he moves faster. His kinetic energy makes up for not having enough physical strength. Also, considering the ending of the battle, i might say that this is a mix between different Sonics, which means that he might have the speed of archie sonic, which is more than the speed of light. Also, sonic apparently handles physical harm very well, which is why he tanked a lot of attacks. If i remember right, he can make his cells move at super sonic speeds to heal himself. Now, the super sonic form. Each chaos emerald contains some cool powers. Stated in the wiki: "Those that hold the Chaos Emeralds can use them for a variety of things, such as warping time and space, powering machines, and initiating super transformations. Anyone who combines all seven Chaos Emeralds can control unimaginable power. Btw I can tell you some things about why (Archie) Sonic could beat Goku.
Okay, so let me say a few things about Archie Sonic (only few because I didn't read comics, I only read some information about story etc.):
Archie or for "casual" people "Comic" Sonic is at absolutely whole other level than in games (not Boom mind you). What he did you ask? Well:
-He traveled to other alternate dimensions which are separate from themselfes by only few kilometers... by that I mean few millions light years... he traveled to all of them in one day... without Chaos Emeralds.
-Chaos Emeralds are (in comics) powerful jewels (only seven) which just like Dragon Ball gathered together can make something cool (not granting wishes mind you), it's user practitly unbeatable. There's also Master Emerald - a big emerald which has (in comics) INFINITE POWER and in Sonic 3 if you collect all Chaos Emeralds and take them to centrain location you can make "Super Emeralds" (Chaos Emeralds just get few times bigger) AND get special transformation called by fans "Hyper Sonic". It's never appeared in comics if it did than it would mean that it's user could become a God. Literally.
-There's also "Dark form" which is opposite of "Super form" because it absorbes all kinds of energy and in a few moments a "Dark Sonic" is just as strong as his opponent (OP as f*ck pretty much)
-And Sonic in his base form (in comics again) can travel at infinite speed which warps the reality (watch again moments when Sonic goes for final blow, you'll see that reality is warping because of his speed) and he survived a blast (in base form) which blast him to another planet... and he survived... range - 10.000 light years...
-And at last - Sonic defeated GODS! Multiversials, omnipotents you name it, he beat them all... in Super Form Sonic can take a blast which can deastroy few universes at say "Is that all?".
So yeah... it's category of Marvel and DC comics...

actually, sonic can use chaos control naturally when in his super form only. He even used it once (wasn't perfect though) with a fake emerald when he was ejected from space colony ark in sonic adventure 2. Its not that he can't do it, its just that he does not have as much control as shadow does when in base form so it is too risky to use. Also, plot armor lol

thats a misconception pdors94. the way the emeralds work are similar to that of a medium. They draw their power from the master emerald but the power they contain is limited and once used up will need time to recharge via their link with the master emerald. As for the master emerald it draws its power directly from the chaos force. The chaos force itself is an alternate plane of existence made of nothing but raw infinite unrestrained power as well as endless amounts of knowledge. The only ones that can tap directly into the chaos force are shadow, and the guardians of the echidna tribe like knuckles for example. In other words its the source of shadows chaos powers such as chaos blast and chaos control etc. and knuckles ability to glide and his ridiculously enhanced strength. However the amount of power they can use normally is limited mostly to whatever their body can withstand or until they are too exhausted. When using the chaos emeralds though, their abilities become further enhanced, and stamina is no longer an issue meaning they can tap into that power from the chaos force with ease though there is still a limit as to how much they can tap into at once. The reason there is a limit is because, the fact that the chaos force is endless no one entity has ever been capable of containing an endless source of power aside from the master emerald and Enerjak (enerjak was an echidna who absorbed a huge amount of chaos energy directly from the master emerald to the point that he had almost limitless power and he even stopped aging, pretty much God tier lol). In other words, trying to harness infinite power is bad for your health lol

This is canon. Only in the archie comics. SEGA also confirmed that his strenght from the comics will switch it to game sonic which will come upon the end of the Comic Sonic Multiverse.

It's pretty shocking. It really seemed like there were moments where Goku would win, but that fight was pretty close. And lots of people may have already said it, but the "Silver" form of Sonic is Hyper Sonic from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. He was changed to a silver color because the constant flashing would give people seizures.

As a huge Sonic fan myself since childhood, and only recently getting into Dragon Ball Z myself, I did not like this fight lol. While people are saying it is Archie Sonic my reaction is okay....but that wasn't established in the description in the video. The Super Sonic in the games is literally invulnerable except to balance it out he loses rings. In the Archie Verse that isn't really a factor. And while Hyper Sonic is a real form in the games it only showed up once and I don't remember it much in the comics. It is true though that in the comics Super Sonic can use Chaos Control to literally reset the universe though.

Sonic's feats have only gotten better over the years. It is canon that the current Sonic is the same one we have seen in the classic games just older and more experienced meaning any forms the previous could use such as Hyper Sonic (The White/Rainbow form) would also be able to transfer.
Super Sonic's feats include being able to damage a 4th dimensional being, that being Solaris, To put that in perspective, a 4th dimensional being exists outside the boundaries of time or space and reasonably cannot truly be harmed by a 3rd dimensional being. *The Omni King does not reach peak 4th dimensional as he exists separately in multiple timelines, not as one being across several*
Goku has started to reach levels of power that can overcome 4th dimensional feats but even now Mastered UI Goku would still be on the low end of that scale. He could not reasonably overcome a Modern Super Sonic, much less Hyper.

Not trying to be toxic but the bigger emeralds are called the super emeralds. That white form is also called hyper-sonic. Just trying to give you some information, sadly Sonic doesn't use the hyper form in any of his newer games.

I typed this up a while ago, so I’m just pasting it here. Oh, and “ToP” means Tournament Of Power, which was a tournament at the end of the series where 10 members from 8 different universes fought each other in a battle royale:
Goku’s base form post ToP is easily universal. The size of U7(and the other universes) is the size of 4 universes(4 realms: Mortal, Heaven, Hell, and Kai, each the size of a universe, all make up U7), so he’s actually low multiverse level in his base form. Goku became that when he went SSG. He absorbed that initial SSG power into his base form, making his base form low multiverse level. Then, he has all of his SSJ multipliers. I’ll go over each of his SSJ transformations.
Normal Base Form: This is Goku when he’s just relaxing, not really putting any effort into fighting. Easily planetary level.
MSSJ: 500x multiplier. It’s actually higher, since SSJ G3 is 500x and MSSJ is stronger, but we don’t know how much stronger, so we’ll just use 500x. Now, the base form I used for those multipliers above to say that Goku is multiverse level and whatnot was Goku’s base form at the end of the Battle of Gods movie, after he absorbed the initial power of SSG into his base form, making that base form low multiverse level, or 4x universal. Goku’s current base form, post ToP, is stronger than Android 17. We know this, because 17 doesn’t lose stamina and can always fights at the same level, and it wouldn’t make sense for him to be holding back against weakened Jiren at the end of the ToP, meaning he was going all out, and his power doesn’t decrease from stamina loss because he doesn’t lose stamina. At the end of the ToP, 17 wasn’t doing much to the weakened Jiren, while a weakened base Goku was doing more to Jiren than 17 was doing, meaning that weakened base Goku is around 17’s level, meaning that post ToP base Goku is stronger than 17. Now, to explain the level 17 fights at. Android 17 fought Goku, and 17 was stronger than the SSB Goku that he fought, and my guess would be that he’s somewhere between that Goku’s SSB power and his SSB KKx10 power. That’s just a guess, though. He’s definitely stronger than that version of SSB Goku that he fought, but to be safe, we’ll just say he’s equal to that version of SSB Goku, since we don’t know how much stronger than him 17 is. So, that being said, this means that Post ToP Base Goku is stronger than the SSB Goku that fought 17, meaning that Post ToP Base Goku is easily high multiverse level. Then, you use the SSJ multipliers, and he’s just crazy strong. So, Post ToP Base Goku is easily high multiverse level, meaning that Post ToP Full Power Goku/SSB KKx20 Goku is just really easily high multiverse level, and Post ToP UI Goku would be just really really easily high multiverse level.

archie sonic in his base form has survived the epicenter of a universal level explosion, and his super form has kept up with a casual multiverse destroying demon (enerjak) and though we have never seen hyper in the comics, if we go by the size difference of the super emeralds to the chaos emeralds hyper would be about 7-8x more powerful then super. Sonic also has access to his Ultra form which is gained by absorbing many hundreds of rings and though it doesn't have many feats, by sonic's statements we can infer that it is much more powerful then super. Finally we have sonic's dark form which is about the same power as his super form but absorbs the power of whoever he is fighting, putting him at their power + the power he had anyway. This doesn't mean he can win every fight though as it only gives him the raw power, someone with more skill or more useful techniques could take him out. Also if someone could survive long enough, all of these forms have a time limit so someone might be able to take advantage of that.

Chaos Control is a way to turn your dreams into reality. as far as im aware, the chaos emeralds have the power (without the powerup) to change a universe. i might be wrong though. and that white sonic is Hyper Sonic, which appeared in Sonic 3 And Knuckles (locked on).
Super sonic was his most common transformation. In Sonic 3 & knuckles, if you collect all 7 chaos emeralds, before Mushroom Hill Zone, then go through that first super ring after the little cut scene at the beginning of mushroom hill, you'll release the 7 emeralds while in the Master Emerald chamber.(This exact area is visited naturally during game play during hidden palace zone) They are then transformed into the Super emeralds and need to be re-collected. You lose the ability to transform into super sonic, but can collect all 7 super emeralds, and transform into Hyper Sonic. It's cannon, but was only for S3&K, and was basically forgotten. The devs explained they wanted players to "have something to work for, in the second half of the game." So they came up with additional transformations, emeralds, etc for Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails.

If you think about it Archie Sonic is basically the definition of OP and game sonic is no push over either. He's has beaten foes that are a god of destruction in chaos and form of the devil in dark Gia and a god modified by Eggman that was the God of time and space. and foes in the comics that can hold a multi verse with one hand and can destroy the multi verse and one that has God armor that can wipe out multiple universes in seconds.
