I’m also always drawn to the unusual - probably why I don’t have a yellow tang and probably never will. That is one beautiful fish you have there and I’m betting the subtle colours will be gorgeous under tank lighting. 👍🏻👍🏻
pet smart doesn't even sell marine fish, at least at any location I have ever seen or heard of. It's not the species that is rare its the colour variant out of the 1000s of trips I have made to dozens of reef stores I have only seen a handful of these guys. Even when live aquaria has them on DD that is rare and they are typically $200

I picked one up over the wkn. It’s in QT now. I’m not really a fan of the brown scopas but had to get this one bc of its color.

This isn't a rare fish, I can buy these for $20-30 dollars at pet smart one of the cheapest of all tanks
