For Askin's power to activate, he needs to consume or absorb the substance he wants to manipulate. So he can use his own blood to manipulate the lethal dose of blood in Oetsu's body
Don´t forget that he suffers its effects too, that´s why he says "I feel the same and I hate it" or something like that

Askin nakk le var has an ability that makes him immune to attacks, you have to switch attacks each time to be effective. Unless you instakill him with the attack you use, he'll become immune to it. For example, if Kensei were to punch him once with his bankai ability, Askin becomes immune to the ability and the bankai will basically be ineffective. the only way to get around it is a couple of ways: Kill him instantly, kill him with something physical IE one punch him into blood, or have a single attack that somehow changes properties after every use. I'm pretty sure the quote you used is just to show how much he hates using his ability, but on the off chance it actually used to work on him, he probably gained immunity to it ages ago
Askin could have killed Oetsu if without outside help.

1) A ri is about 4km in length, so that hit from Ichibei smacked Yhwach about 4,000km. For perspective, Ichibei could have slapped Yhwach in Japan and then teleported behind him over Indonesia when he stopped moving.
2) Askin's powers are WAY scarier than Hidan's. Askin doesn't need to drink your blood to hit you with that effect--his own blood works just fine. There are other things he can do too, but that will be revealed in the next cour.
3) Kamikake translates to "divine possession" so you can speculate on what it actually does.

It's not ironic at all, cause it was completely intentional. If her usual method of defending herself was to make an umbrella shield, that would be ironic. Here, however, it was just an intentional roast fest. First, she used something as ridiculous as an umbrella to defend herself from the attack, then she verbally compared it to a gentle rain, then she implied that she didn't NEED to defend herself and that the attack wouldn't have harmed her by saying that she "doesn't dislike the rain, but doesn't want her clothes to get wet", and the final mockery is that she sends Ishida's attack back at him and immediately defeats him.

This episode was amazing. Not only because it's genuinely a fantastic episode but because it added SOOOOOO much new content. Basically everything that didn't have to do with Askin and Yhwach in the Royal Palace was brand new. It was insane seeing Uryu stepping up to fight Senjumaru!
They give Squad Zero Justice in the anime, dont read the Manga.

This episode was really fucking cool! I love that Askin’s Vollständig looks like molecules and that Pernida’s looks like a hand. Ichibē epithet is "Monk Who Calls the Real Name." He is the person who named everything in the universe. I hope that scene with Ukitake means we will get a Ukitake fight because he didn't have one in the manga. Brother. That's Yoruichi's brother. I think he's in Turn Back the Pendulum.

@@Y_4_L Balance. Basically he can tip the scale of his opponents 'fortune' and his 'misfortunes'.
Like he can remove all his damages and lay it on his enemies, but it works for everything.
Like against cang du, cang du being able to block jugrams attack was his 'fortune' and jugrams 'misfortune'. When he uses the balance, the scale tips and jugram one shots him. He's basically reverse any fortunate events.

Lethal Dose: The amount of something you can take before it becomes lethal.
Example: 2 milligrams of fentanyl can kill a human
Askins ability is the ability to manipulate that. He has to absorb the substance he wants to change the lethal dose of. He drank his own blood meaning he could change the lethal dose of blood in general meaning oetsu's as well. He lowered blood's lethal dosage from the normal amount causing oetsu to be killed for having too much blood.

Askin has control of the lethal dose- the amount that will cause death without fail-of any substance he takes into his body (primarily by ingestion) and then raise or lower that value as he sees fit, inducing a lethal dosage of that substance in those around them. In order to facilitate the lethal dose, he needs to consume a great amount of whatever it is he wants to manipulate into his body. For example by consuming blood, he can decrease the lethal dosage of the blood in his opponent's body, thus making it fatal to them

Yushiro is yoruichi brother who took over after she was exiled. The anime just kinda make em look more like a girl than the manga. He's pretty strong too.
Ri is a distance measurement that fluctuated over time until 1891. If the modern version is used it’s 3927km. If the classical, such as how the soul society appears, it could be between 300 and 400 miles. The VIZ translation, often wrong, states 300 miles if I recall correctly.

Don't get me wrong, Urahara is my favorite character. He's funny, silly, powerful, intelligent, charming, and so entertaining to watch. But never forget that he is also a bastard.
