- This crazy story sounds like it's straight out of Frankenstein, but we promise you it's true. Scientists have started creating artificial brains in laboratories, pretty much putting us on a crash course with artificial organ farming. Would you trust a brain from a lab? Can scientists make you smarter? Did they just create a zombie?

It depends what kind of simulation was in the jar; if I could have a nice life in the jar then maybe, if I could help the advancement of science as a jar-brain and not have a horrible existence then yes; I would want to have a legal agreement that there's some way I can send them a signal if I need help (i.e the simulation becomes unpleasant and horrible)

It's a reference about the Fallout New Vegas Add-on "Old World Blues" where there are sentient brains in tanks which they can move and they're also able to talk

This is just amazing. It also gives you an idea of complicated our brains are. Perhaps part of the key lies with DNA, which serves as a blueprint to modeling us and our brain.

They should create an ai that can program adjust to a persons memories and life lessons to see how it would work.

1:14 "you can't exactly open up the hood of a living patient and start prodding around". Actually brain surgeons do exactly that all the time. Patients are often kept awake during brain surgery and asked to do specific tasks while the surgeon literally prods around to see how it affects the patient. This helps the surgeon find the right areas to work on and avoid the wrong ones.

Every time something like this comes up, I see a comment like this. If you can understand what they're saying, then you're not the person they're talking about. Autism exists on a spectrum, and at the extreme end of that spectrum there are people who simply cannot function independently.
Some poeple cant even speak because of it and live institutionalized and need frequent, intensive therapy because they cant walk down the street without being a danger to themself. But sure pretend like they dont exist so you can play offended victim

Eh, not really. That's like saying that cloning disproves the existence of souls. All it would prove is that artificially made brains can be conscious and may have souls of their own.
