This is one of the principal reasons why I’ve always liked Anthony. He does not allow his subjectivity take over on these lists. The reboot Figuarts Naruto (or let’s say “Nuhrooti”) line has been churning out solid figures, and he gives them the shoutout these figures deserve.
They could atleast fix their QC issues. All of my Jada Toys SFs have loose ankle and elbow joints for barely posing in just 1 month. My friends who bought the same figures have the same issues too. I have seen other reviewers in RUclips also complain about the weak ankle joints
@@javierb.4447 my chun li is like that, i fixed it with hot water and bent it to an upright position. actually, my chun li has lots of problem her sleeves and boot flaps are tucked-in under the swivel joint and really had to heat-it up and pull them out of there to fix. Then, ryu's hair and belt paint are chipping showing the white plastic underneath, i had to repaint it and seal it. for the price and the look, jada toys is awesome, but the QC is just a pain. they would be up there in my top figures, but they have to fix the QCs first.
I personally think Chun li is the best out of the 3, considering her design and being just as poseable as Fei Long, without sacrificing any aesthetic... Best 1/12 Chun Li ive ever handled.
So glad to see the Metroid Dread figma make the list, and so high up even. I can not believe how much articulation they crammed into this little figure; it is easily the best-designed figure I own. Totally worth the money and better than all the other figma Samus figures out there (which is saying a lot).
I agree with your first choice, Ive got Fei long And Chun Li recently and I love them ,for 25 they are awesome. I hope Jada Does SF Alpha characters. And also more Capcom games.
Pretty great list. Jada deserves the number one spot for sure. They give me the same excitement as SOTA did back in the day, i really hope they continue to thrive. Would love to get 3rd Strike and Alpha figures someday
I didn't expect you to bring Darwin back and make him your #1 for this year too, but your 3 minute rant about how Hasbro's lack of paint and accessories forces us to use our imagination, and that's priceless, was pretty convincing... Kidding aside, I knew it was going to be a very competitive list as soon as I saw what (only) ranked at #10. Some really solid releases this year!
I don’t have the opportunity to collect many figures if at all except a smaller scale because of world-building. However, your number three is one I enjoyed so much. Yes it is expensive but coming up with poses that are representative of the source material is near effortless.
I definitely agree with number 1. I have chun-li, ryu, and evil ryu and they are amazing! I cant wait for guile and bigger characters like t hawk! Definitely hope they get to street fighter 3 characters at some point. I need them to make an alex and dudley.
I'm honestly not surprised the Jada SF line was number one. I got Chun Li the other day and while I would've loved some victory pose accessories, damn, I was blown away on every front.
Chun-li was the last figure I will probably buy this year, but man what a banger to end on. Everything, the packaging, th3 sculpt paint articulation accessories, everything is honestly top notch. She feels like a much higher price point than she is. I'm not even SF fan, but she's one of the best figures I bought this year. I only wish she came with a smiling headsculpt, but even then, she's still feels complete. Def buying Fei Long as soon as I can.
Saw that Jada Toys Ryu figure yesterday at Frank and Son Collectibles and damn did it look nice. That arcade packaging is 🔥 saw a SOTA toys Chun Li too that didn't look half bad. Can't wait to get into some Jada stuff. Thanks for the list Anthony! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year fellow collectors!🙏🏽🙌🏻

The Marino family would like to formally extend our well wishes to you and yours this Christmas! Happy Christmas, Anthony!
It's been a heck of a year for figure releases, for me personally it's been a real challenge putting together a top ten, let alone ordering them tenth to first. Currently I've worked out nine of them, I'll wait until after Christmas before cementing the line-up.
That’s a solid list. I especially love the one’s that span a varied bunch of lines. We had some similar pics, but I went with Zarak for NECA D&D (whose personality and articulation surprised me) and Yolopark for a Megatron. Totally with ya on Fei Long and Chun Li; that line is 🔥 and made me buy smaller-than-my-usual figs. And Blade Master Weng kinda blew me away this year. I’ve managed to steer clear of TMNT, but that Last Ronin Raph looks fantastic. And I’d be in trouble if Figma wasn’t true 1/12; that Samus is mighty. Anyway, hope you and yours have a solid 2024. ✌🏾➕✊🏾
yeah, the jada SF line is amazing so far, can't wait for guile and bison. some of my top figures not mentioned by you, the marvel legends no way home green goblin, black series starkiller, mezco leatherface (high price but comes with so much stuff), premium DNA battletoads, black series jedi survivor cal kestis. the rest of my favorite pickups I'm not sure if they actually came out this year.
I know you didn't review them but the LIMTOYS Joel & Ellie 1/12 figures (the Last of Us) are one of the highest quality 1/12 action figures ever. INCREDIBLE paint job and sculpt, great amount of accessories, fun to pose (+ not fragile). You should look into getting them sometime.
I'm having a hard time finding a figure that I can pair up with my Play Kai Arts Ground Zeroes Big Boss since he's so tall, I still don't know what to get....
Have you considered doing a top 10 favorite figures of the year? I'm not sure if there'd be too much overlap with this list, but it'd be fun to see what your personal favorites were despite the figure being good/bad.
One figure I think it's very underrated from this year (I think), which I bought and also don't care much about despite it being a 10/10 Is that Triceratron Zog from Neca
I got my first Jada Street Fighter figure (Fei Long) about three weeks ago. I was delighted with it till I realised he has two left arms.😳 Not noticable from a distance, but a fly in the ointment to be sure.
I would love to see at the end of your end of year reviews or even in a different type of review a list of most anticipated figure coming out in the upcoming year. I think that would be a great comparison review when they finally do come out and you analyze what was anticipated versus what's actually in hand.
I’ve only been able to find 1 Jada street fighter figure so far, and that was regular Ryu. Definitely a great start to the line. My only complaint would be the distribution of them. I really don’t order stuff online, so I’d like to see them get a push at physical stores like Walmart did with NECA, McFarlane, and most recently, super7.
Awesome list. Most of my figures this year have been the megaman x model kits from kotobukiya. not sure if you ever review those but the mmx line is super cool
2:38 yeah, but other than the faces they didn't differentiate the turtles. they could have given them different bodies, RAPH being bigger, Mikey=smaller..they just phoned-it-in
Jada toys really stole the show this year. And you should check out spero toys animal warriors of the kingdom. Another great line that stood out this year. Great top 15!!!
Anthony in case you missed it that Samus has better waist movement, it's just hidden. You gotta pull her midsection up which is tricky but she gains much better splits and ab crunch when you do. Amazing figure and my foty.
Yea, number one was fitting. That Chun Li figure won me over Jada with that retail price. Half the price than the Phoenix Ranger (decent figure) but much better articulated. Can't wait for the repaints with hopefully different facial and hand accessories.
I'd complain for the Samus Figma not being #1 (considering Nintendo kept the Figma people at gunpoint making sure they didn't screw up so I think it's a fluke for them), but a $25 fully articulate quality action figure, it's unheard off! And that shouldn't be the case, I have the Samus Figma because I am a big fan, but throwing 100s of dollars in plastic figures is ridiculous especially with this economy, but a company putting care and effort at a very affordable price point, I can concede on that for sure.
i never see cosmic or mythic legions in your reviews or lists. do you think they are bad or too expensive? or is it the independent status of the company?
Don't always agree with your ratings--but I will agree that the JADA SF figures are great bang-for-your-buck figures! I NEVER bought SF figures before them and am tempted to get more (at least the SF 2 roster).
Mafex Terminator 2 looks like a pretty damn good figure and I’m surprised he’s not on anyone’s top 10 list, including yours. Great likeness, good detail, good scale, and amazing set of accessories. For T2 figure to not even be on honorable mention is crazy. I don’t have it, because I already have the Mafex ‘80’s Terminator, but damn, I wish I had money to get Mafex T2 Arnie. Another one that should be on this list is Mafex Magneto. I mean, wtf? That figure is MILES better than Mafex AoA Mags, because the chest piece is a completely different sculpt, it’s bigger and more imposing. Looks exactly like Jim Lee’s Magneto. Way better than that new garbage Magneto that Marvel Legends just released.
Happy that Naruti and especially Cousin Frank is on The list for some reason these Naruty releases have been pretty solid, also wondering why metal Cooler and xenomorph freeza didn't make The list.
Jada Toys Street Fighter line definitely gives you the best value. Amazing figures and I'm pleased to see them as your number 1 spot. Did you get Mafex Magneto? I have him as my number 1 this year. Loved Mafex Spiderman 185. Its my new best Spideman. I think the GI Joe Classified line put out amazing figures this year. Serpentor will be high on my list, I know some people got him late last year. The Cobra Commander that came with the HISS Tank will make my top ten as well. Marvel Legends MCU Green Goblin, MCU final swing Spiderman, Black Widow, Iron Man Model 1, Grey Hulk, and Blob will receive Top Ten consideration from me. I'm into the Masterverse line as well. My favorites from that line this year were Ram Man, Grizzlor, Whiplash, Buzz-Off, and Two Bad. One or two of those will make my top ten.
I bought a lot of strange figures I wouldn't normally buy here my top ten 1) shf Sagiri 2) shf Orochimaru 3) shf Obito 4) shf Geto 5) shf chainsawman 6) shf Power 7) shf Turlus 8) shf Gohan beast 9) shf yuzuriha 10) shf Sukuna
Anything with exposed pins and loose joints out of the box is out of my top figures. It's 2023, pinless joints have been introduced since the early 2000s. I would disagree with Jada Toys too, why? I'm a big SF fan, but the problem with Jada Toys is QC. All of the 3 SF figures I purchased have loose ankles already in just 6 weeks, and I barely posed them
Here are several issues with JADA Toys SF line 1. Ryu's belt and hair paint are chipping. 2. Chun-li's bangs unglues itself. 3. Some Chunli figure have their shoulder sleeves and boot flaps tucked inside the swivel 3. Either over tight or overly loose joints. 4. Chun li paint lines aren't clean, I got several yellow smudges. the highlight paints chips easily by just rubbing or touching. 5. Ryu's bandana chips near the knot when it is bent. 6. Bent torsos out of the box with Chunli. 6. Ken has overly tight knee joints like if it is going to break if you bend them, while his other knee is loose. Does Jada deserve the number 1 spot? Jada deserve it only if they have fixed this issue. But, right now? Definitely not.
@@AnthonysCustoms I have the very first SH Figuarts figure that was released which was the Kamen Rider figure in 2008 that has pinless joints. For 15 long years, it had no issues, no issues posing the joints are smooth as ever comparing to a newly released Figuarts in 2023. I have severals Necas and Marvel Legends with pinned joints that are barely a year, and all of their joints are like my grandma's soggy spaghettis.
If a figure can't last atleast 2 years without falling apart or having overly loose joints, then it is garbage. Quality control and longevity is just as important or even more than articulation itself. What's the point of having tons of articulation, if it can't even hold its pose? Unless you want to play with it like a 5-dollar toy and not an actual collectible action figure.
Love your videos. Happy Holidays! I primarily collect black series as I’m a big Star Wars guy. Sorry if you’ve answered this before from people on ur channel, but any reason you don’t collect/review black series?
heh, you have the same tie for number one as I do. I'm going to call it 3 way cause really evil ryu and Ryu are the same. So a tie between Ryu, Fi long, and Chun Li. Neca did have some good ones. I think Alf was one of the best. But note I'm very very retro 80's.
I know you really dont review much 3rd party DBZ figures, but that new Demoniacal Fit Base Goku is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Best base form Goku we have ever gotten. Has its issues, but better than almost any Goku Bandai has given us.
After a month or 2 with her Chun-Li is EXCELLENT! AND i dont need a stand to display her on my desk and if you have the Chun-li from Power Rangers you have extra effects for more potential poses.
NOOOOOOOOO! THOSE NEW NAAAARUTI FIGURES DID NOT GET REVIEWED BEFORE THIS LIST!!!

Jada Toys Chester Cheetah would be in my top 15.
Love your videos. Happy Holidays! I primarily collect black series as I’m a big Star Wars guy. Sorry if you’ve answered this before from people on ur channel, but any reason you don’t collect/review black series?
Thanks a lot. I just don't care about Star Wars very much.
heh, you have the same tie for number one as I do. I'm going to call it 3 way cause really evil ryu and Ryu are the same. So a tie between Ryu, Fi long, and Chun Li. Neca did have some good ones. I think Alf was one of the best. But note I'm very very retro 80's.
Def agree with jada and the figma samus, jada chun-li is borderline perfect
I know you really dont review much 3rd party DBZ figures, but that new Demoniacal Fit Base Goku is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Best base form Goku we have ever gotten. Has its issues, but better than almost any Goku Bandai has given us.
I'm surprised the AXY Toys T-Rex didn't make the list at all. Definitely some good figures out this year!
Glad to see naruto in the list, really great figure. Though imo the orochimaru from the same line is more deserving of a spot.
Great list, Anthony! I am just wondering, did you get the SHF Orochimaru?
i did not
@@AnthonysCustoms I recomend it. I believe you would enjoy it.
it looks good. just not something i care about personally so cant justify the expense
@@AnthonysCustomsYou should get it, it's an excellent figure with a ton of accessories
Honorable Mention - Storm Collectables Geese Howard is one of the best Releases of 2023
I want the Naruto so bad 😭
Hey how come you don't review threezero ironman
100% agree with Jada Street Fighter figures being the best for the price. I am loving that line.
After a month or 2 with her Chun-Li is EXCELLENT! AND i dont need a stand to display her on my desk and if you have the Chun-li from Power Rangers you have extra effects for more potential poses.
