Considering how many reviews Anthony does in a year, and then multiplying that times five, compiling this list must have been so much work. I really appreciate this unique five-year perspective.
@@elliotbaltazar I just admit when I first clicked I’m it I thought it was for this year only. To compile a list like this for the least 5 years - hats off. That’s great work 💯
I really like that this was almost a "Toy Manufacturer Top 10". Jada Toys is the best company making toys right now, for that price point. It's not even close. Considering how many figures they've released and how many I own, I think it's the highest ratio out of any company.
I don't know, Valaverse is pretty close, and is improving with every wave. Too bad Anthony may never review an Action Force figure since he doesn't review figures of independent toymakers (something about bias since he's making his own toyline soon i hope)
No really, you can compare them by prices, and Monster Force cost way more than Action Force who sit at the 30$ price point. Monster Force is off to great start though and I hope they improve with every wave just like how Valaverse has. @@Venom-cd7tw

So happy to see Jada at the top. Haven't been this excited about an action figure line in a long time. As for the stylization, it's important to remember that even if you're looking at just sf2, theres a noticable difference between in game sprites, portraits, and official artwork. I think jada is considering all three when they make these. Which is why ryu has red gloves and kanji on his belt. That actually started with official art for super street fighter 2.
As a collector of both Jada Street Fighter and Marvel Legends, Jada SF's charm gets more apparent the more you complete the line. Height scale is consistent, aesthetics are consistent, etc. With ML, you'll occasionally have to wish that their proportions (especially with females) is correct. The more Street Fighter figures from Jada you collect, the more it widens the gap with ML.
Jada and Juhn are the absolute GOATs of the action figure industry right now, when they're rivaling SH Figuarts at half the price you know they are firing on all cylinders.
Man I honestly thought Super Shredder would’ve been in your top 5. Surprised it didn’t even make it to the top 10. Although I have to agree with your #1 ranking. What Jada has been able to pull off with the SF line is nothing short of amazing! They deserve their flowers for giving us such great figures at a reasonable cost and without having to cut any corners . I thoroughly enjoyed this top 10.
That Samus figure is amazing. Figma is releasing a Link from Tears of the kingdom in the new year. It looks like another banger. I’ve definitely been interested in the Jada toys sf figures but my problem is that I’ve only ever seen one in person. Target never ever has them. They seem to sell out fast.
Love your top 10s! This one felt pretty stacked from figures that you reviewed this year; so I can already expect to see a lot of familiar faces come your ‘top 10 figures of 2024’ list ;P. You know, I actually wasn’t planning on picking up any Jada figures because I’m already happy with my Storm ones, but you’re playing no small part in sorely tempting me to pick up one or two Jada figures of characters that Storm never made figures for.
5 years means an even distribution would see about 20% of the list coming from this year. It's not an even distribution though since quality isn't distributed evenly. Even with recency bias, i only have 2 figures in the top 10 from this year. The jada, naruti, and mdlx lines started prior to this year so assigning them to this year isn't accurate.
Some of these (like Jada) may have started before this year, but Guile for example, which you reviewed this year, is clearly one of your favorite Jada releases. So that’s what I mean by familiar faces 😄. The same is true for standout figures that released this year from lines that started before 2024 😛
Personally think the revoltech my hero line has a lot of stand out figures, specifically their Deku and their bakugo figures. The whole line is a lot of bang for your buck ngl. There are qc issues but they all look amazing and pose amazing.
i honestly care about your opinion on figures more than anyone else on the platform. thank you for the best reviews on youtube and finally now convincing me to pick up some street fighter stuff 😂
Great list Anthony. My favorites from this list are the neca turtle characters, Cooler, Samus and the street fighters. I also think the Jada sf definitely deserve number 1
Maestro Union Veteran William. I can not think of a figure from a new company that has impressed me as much as he did. Sculpt, articulation, accessories all A+. So much so, I bought every color released so far. Great list btw, I appreciated your rationale.
The new Sonic movie figures are incredible, Shadow's easily one of my favorite figures to release this year. Now we need some game-style figures with their level of engineering
I can only hope JADA TOYS is selling enough to keep these kind of prices and level of quality. I'm not so sure about the Megaman line but I'm kinda hopeful the SF line is achieving just that. I also have faith they have unnanounced licenses from other fighting game franchises such as KOF, Darkstalkers or anime series such as Hokuto no Ken.
The Jada Toys SF line is SO good that Storm Collectibles got salty and wants to compete with Jada figures. Well, good luck SC, you never finish a line of any product you put out.
From the last 5 years I'd have to check my collection, but number 1 is probably the Limtoys last of us figures, and the Leon Kennedy figure. I loved the accessories and the price didn't feel horrible. Figma has definitely stepped up and has better figures now. Snail Shell has given me lots of really nice figures. I love the ultimate Gohan from figuarts as hes my favorite character so im biased there. The Gi joe figures and the Valaverse action force have given me some solid troopers for the price point. Jada Toys has really stepped up and given people what they want and im excited for their Cyberpunk figures. Overall these past few years we've definitely gotten some really good figures, and sadly some really bad figures. Thanks for the list Anthony and keep doing the work that other shills wont do. Cant wait for your figure line.
I remember u liked my comment for the best 100 figs of the decade. Crazy that was 5 years ago. Ty for the content and saving me a lot of money. Cheers.
Really good list Anthony! Was a little surprised not to see any Mafex on it, but when it comes to the balance between quality and price point, it's honestly hard to argue with your picks lol.
For me the major standout of the last five years would be NECA's Universal Monsters line. Some are certainly more impressive than others especially with the articulation being fairly standard on some of the more human designs, but they so perfectly capture the look of those original characters as far as sculpts and likenesses go, they make for a great display and there's a real feel of quality to them.
14:05 I was waiting for Jada to pop up but I personally disagree about the style. I think they look great, of course not perfect but they look awesome to me. I think my top figures are between Cammy and Deejay
Chun-li for me, cause I think her costume is a bit more detailed than Cammy (I have them both) and she comes with more accessories. I'm waiting for Jada to release Vega so that they can have that rematch from that iconic anime movie.😁
I Haven't actually "handled" a Jada Toys Street Fighter figure. as a die-hard ML freak (they're bad, but good-ish sometimes), I had to buy the Jada Chun-Li Player 2 Pink version out of curiosity. Still I haven't taken her out of the box because I didn't have any others to display her with. So, thank you for hard-confirming that they are a good line, and I've now got Dhal, and Guile coming to my home to join Miss Li.
very much agree with your number 1 spot. for the price, they are blowing everyone out of the water and showing all the other companies how to properly make figures. it leaves others like hasbro with no excuses for why they aren't better. I can't wait to see what jada does in the future and I hope they get good licenses
The only company that comes close to Jada's bang -for-buck would be Valaverse. Action Force figures are pretty detailed and articulated also with lots of accessories. Too bad Anthony won't review them cause they represent a conflict of interest for his future Rivals Collectibles line
Another great list, always love these lists at the ends of the year for essentially being a shopping list for me to pick up some figures I missed out on. Biggest regret I had was missing out on the NECA TMNT 1/12 figures so I made sure to get Last Ronan Raphael and I agree he's stellar, they killed it with the aesthetics. Naruti line too outclassing their DB line for sure, just on the ankle engineering alone. Cooler remains one of the best DB Figuarts but I give the edge personally for Turles for the accessories even though aesthetically and articulation-wise its weaker. I might hsve ti bi5 the bullet and just get one SF Jada figure, probably Fei Long or Guile.
SF2 winning the best toy is the only correct answer. From price, sculpt, articulation, accessories to uniqueness in molds. Only area it lacks in, is maybe paint, shading and wash.
Great review. Had The Honorable mention Azriel & own four of the Jada Street fighters Chun-Li , M. Bison , Fei-Long & Ryu totally agree for the price point. Articulation hands down you're getting your money Worth.
Jada toys really has done a great job. A awesome figure at a great price point to other companies and even their boxes they come in are so cool. Only time I’d buy a figure to open and one to keep in box looking like a arcade game
I've definitely fallen off collecting over the last 5 year but theres been some real gems that have come out. I recognize, have, or wanted most of this list.
totally agree with your #1, Jada is killing it with Street Fighter, best part is you can still get the first wave, not like other lines where they sell out and gone forever.
14:13 Oh how we soon forget! That McFarlane Fortnite line was KILLING! Paint, articulation, and at least 3 accessories for ONLY $19.99! Those figures had everyone hype that he acquired the DC license, but those figures are nowhere close to the Fortnite figures.
The Flame Toys Optimus is incredible. I had to get their Nemesis version as a centerpiece in my Nemesis Prime setup. It's so good. Jada deservedly gets their spot for the value and care they put into their figures.
Just started watching your videos, and while I don't collect or have much interest in figures I really appreciate watching someone knowledgeable and passionate about their hobby. I've noticed that a lot of your older videos seem to be more popular than your new content despite a high jump in the quality. Do you think this is because there are less people interested than 10 years ago or is it that the videos are just older?
I still remember that 10/10 of Jada Fei Long figure, I was not into ST figures but after your review I started to think about their quality at this price point and now I bought them all, I still waiting my favorite ST character Vega for next wave.
As always, love your videos and perspective. Surprisingly, I own nothing on this list. When I consolidated over the last few years, my collection is almost 90% new Marvel Legends (mid-2023 releases to now) and frankly I would say I buy about 3/4 of those under retail. I’m anxiously awaiting Jada’s Akuma though!
Awesome, Jada is also on my top list not just because of the figure but the price point and what bunch of stuff in it... Also for me, the Mcfarlane Genestealer is so underrated for its quality.... It can be in the honorable mention as well. ❤
Jada's Street Fighter line is showing other companies what's up, especially at their price points. When the price does inevitably go up, I will be there for them as long as they stay consistent. This line is the epitome of a business that cares about the customer's money.
This video might cost me $300 lol. I was kinda surprised super shredder was an honorable mention. I remember that review and also the fat batman review where you showed him at the end because you liked it so much. SOLID list tho.
Very good list! Always enjoy these videos. I can't spend the amount of money a Flametoys figure costs, but I'm quite happy with my Rodimus MDLX ( I will eventually get more, their Megatron is next), and I did get Flametoys Arcee modelkit. I also got an Amazing Yamaguchi Joker, and I love it. I recommend it to you. Happy holidays from México, Anthony!🎉🎉🎉
I was thinking that Illidian would have been on the list either. I think you should not look at the IP since that is something for lawyers and courts to figure out. You are a toy reviewer, so let the toy stand for itself. Also, this isn't a bootleg figure but a unique sculpt done by Hero Toys. Funny think is there are now KO versions of Hero Toys Illidian now selling for $45 to $60.00 bucks. I mistakingly bought a KO and its 85% as good for 1/3 the price. So a 3rd party company is hacing their unlicensed toy bootlegs. Thats high praise and kinda makes Hero Toys the victim and makes their toy legit. Some of the absolute best Transformers are from companies that made figures that quite honestly made Hasbro up their game. The Magnificent Mecha MM01 is BETTER than Three Zeros version, AND probably the best movie Optimus prime of all time and it transforms to a perfect photo realistic semi truck.
The problem is that it's simply an unfair advantage to not have to go through legal channels and pay the licensing fees and have to get licensor approval
Yes and I don't disagree. BUT no matter how it came to be legally that doesn't change the fact that some sculpter created it, some engineer had to make sure it worked properly, some designer had to decide on the types of colors and paint used. These people who put their sweat equity into making a figure you hold in such high regard probably by never saw or delt with any of the suits. I'm saying the artist and engineers who made this figure from scratch should get their due.
Question, has the Flametoys Optimus, how is he holding up? I heard some of them has gone loose with the joints? I'm thinking of getting one ever since I got the Flametoys Alteisen but not sure about this issue.
You should do a list of your favorite Marvel Legends from the past. It would be nice to hear you talk positive about them for once instead of being stuck harping in the negatives with the recent figure waves.
I’m looking for some generic articulated monsters to scale with my SHMA and 30 minutes missions. Any recommendations would be appreciated. So far I’ve found: joytoy tyranids, rihio chronsaurus, some gashapon bugs, and the hiya muto even though that’s less generic.
As soon as I picked up the Red Outfit Chun (the regular release wasn’t available at Gamestop), I was surprised by how good it was. The Cammy, even with the small problems in QC, poses better than characters that should do the same for the price point. It is ridiculous. They both are next to the Dread Samus because of course they are.
I only have the Dee Jay from Street Fighter (for now, Cammy is on the way). That Dee Jay is fun to pose and no issues. Probably ordering two more figures soon. Don't collect all of these lines so my list would be different. Still fun to watch. For me the Mafex Daredevil would be on the list, as would Mutt and Junkyard from Classified. I would probably toss Mezco Silver Centurion Iron Man on there but I am biased towards yhat specific armor.
Hey Anthony what's the best affordable Dragonzord figure? Just the dragon form I don't need it to transform. Hasbro released some small zord two packs several years ago that connected to a pretty nice affordable Megazord. If there was a similar Dragonzord I'd be thrilled.
Maybe zord ascension project? I never opened mine but it looks to be nice. Im actually selling it if you're interested. The only other ones i can think of world be the src or the retro remake style ones and i think both of those are more expensive.
I love the Jada line and think that the only thing I'd want them to do is apply a wash to bring out some of the details. Some of them get lost. Even with that I like to think they're shaming other companies into doing better work.
This video might cost me $300 lol. I was kinda surprised super shredder was an honorable mention. I remember that review and also the fat batman review where you showed him at the end because you liked it so much. SOLID list tho. I woulda put a classified figure in there.
Great list! I’m surprised Venompool didn’t make an honorable mention, but pretty much everything else Hasbro has done the past 5 years has been less than honorable, so giving them a shout out for a job well done might not be in order.

There's some amazing Classified figures like Tiger Force Outback...it's a shame you don't collect, I'd love to see them on this list.
I'll have to agree for most of this list. That Tokka figure is easily one of the best in my vast tmnt collection.
Woot, i have that White Knight Azrael and Batman.
You like em?
@AnthonysCustoms love em. Definitely some of McFarlane's best. And yes, this Azrael is superior to the White Knight AzBats.
Kind of surprised to see not Illidan from Hero Toys not making the cut
I haven't decided how i feel about 3p stuff being on the list. He might be on the 2024 list
@@AnthonysCustoms You could put them in Honorary mentions
I haven't messed with it much but it's no looser than it was before
Man I wish Jada would start making resident evil figures. Such a good company
Always happy to see cousin frank on the list
Jada and BST AXN has really shown out this year.
Jada's the GOAT of this toy season for sure
Your top ten videos are always cool to watch. Also you should check out the Yamaguchi Harley Quinn, still the best figure in the line imo
Your number One pick is definitely on point!
The samus figure is so good. Love the demon's souls and bloodborne ones from figma too.
Fun list thanks! I have tokka and Jada sf up there at top, also nacelle throttle which was such a great surprise
I would probably toss Mezco Silver Centurion Iron Man on there but I am biased towards yhat specific armor.
a cool list you could make would be top 10 Optimus prime of all time, lobe your work as I have for the past 10 yeats or so marry Christmas 🎄
Thanks. Merry Christmas
Oh, this will be a fun watch. With how much you cover I'm really curious what falls under this umbrella for you.
this should be split into two lists, top 10 domestic and top 10 import figures of the last 5 years.
nah
such a good video transformers fans up rn ‼️🔥🔥
I enjoyed ur choices, havent dipped a toe into anything transformers but those dlx look pretty nice list
It's hard enough deciding top 10 for the year. Over the past five years is tall order. There are so many lines. I do love my Jada figures.
I'd love to see you review the Figma Guyver that released earlier in the year. It's up there with Samus in my opinion
I may get it eventually
I bet the Shadow would look nice with the Handgun from the Bride of Chucky 2 Pack, should give it the hunky look for his small figure
If only that flame toys megastore wasn’t so hard to find
Hey Anthony what's the best affordable Dragonzord figure? Just the dragon form I don't need it to transform. Hasbro released some small zord two packs several years ago that connected to a pretty nice affordable Megazord. If there was a similar Dragonzord I'd be thrilled.
Maybe zord ascension project? I never opened mine but it looks to be nice. Im actually selling it if you're interested. The only other ones i can think of world be the src or the retro remake style ones and i think both of those are more expensive.
Can't really argue with that list. 🤘👍
I love the Jada line and think that the only thing I'd want them to do is apply a wash to bring out some of the details. Some of them get lost. Even with that I like to think they're shaming other companies into doing better work.
I don't agree with any of your picks but I respect that this is your own decision.
This video might cost me $300 lol. I was kinda surprised super shredder was an honorable mention. I remember that review and also the fat batman review where you showed him at the end because you liked it so much. SOLID list tho. I woulda put a classified figure in there.
It's the lack of bicep swivel that kept shredder from going higher
Nice Cooler is always be my favorite SHF all the time.
I knew and was hoping Jada was number 1! Im also happy that I own 3 figures on this list lol.
That Samus is pretty sick.
I would say the figures from Maestro Union are definitely top 5.
They they didn't have such stuck joints and impossibly right interchangeable hands, i would agree
What a great list. Thanks for this - a list that is based on quality as oppose to popularity.
Dhalsim is probably No. 1 from Jada, 🔥🔥🔥
Love this list, man. Just curious what Mafex figure did you almost incude in the list, if there's any at all?
Nightwing. He's just too simple for the price to make the cut
Great list! I’m surprised Venompool didn’t make an honorable mention, but pretty much everything else Hasbro has done the past 5 years has been less than honorable, so giving them a shout out for a job well done might not be in order.
If it wasn't a baf it probably would have. Thanks
