Excellent comment, thank you very much for making it. People defending these corporations, whether they are paid for them or not, seem like "useful idiots" to me. They are working against the ordinary people, against customers, they want to try to make as much money without spending as much money and to rip everyone off as much as they possibly can, which is why customers need to complain and demand better always and remain vigilant, or else they will just keep getting worse and worse (and it is a tough battle to get anything good from companies with such low or lacking ethics, since they really don't respond until a lot of fuss is made, and look how no response is occurring in world affairs also when so much fuss is made, but people can't give up, whether it is about toys or human lives, everyone needs to always demand better and the best always and complain when they see something is wrong or bad).

As a massive Raimi Spider-Man fan , I can't stress enough how disappointing Tobey is. What upsets me is not the not-so-great articulation scheme he has like the giant ball for the double ball peg of the neck and inverted ab crunch & diaphragm combo(I still could have accepted those given that's pretty much the standard articulation of Legends these days), it's the fact that they seemed to ruin the figure on purpose- they added texture to his suit, yet the wrong type(shows that they have the capability of adding minute details yet messed up), they made his feet huge and hands puny, gave him child bearing hips and brought down the shoulders lower than the digital renders shown off last year and finally- fumbled the colors on his suit completely-people often get hurt and say "but but get the shf one if you're so picky Hasbro hater" what they don't get is it takes zero extra cost to get these improvements. Even with that poor articulation Tobey would have easily gotten a better score.
Years ago I was someone who bought almost every new ML release. That began decreasing a few years ago to where I haven’t bought a new ML in over a year. Love your honest reviews and I share many of your thoughts.
@@suhtangwongRight now Jada Toys has all my buck right now, I stopped collecting imports because my collection turned into a tutti frutti collection with scales and brands and I didn’t liked how it looked. Then Jada came with their Street Fighter line, great articulation, painting, scale, proportions and accessories, also a great great price. Now I’m only focused on collecting their line and Kotobukiya Mega Man plastic models.

Evidence: I needed a Stryfe as the character was missing in the collection. It was revealed ML would be making a new one. After your boxset review, it was determined there was more value in purchasing the original ML on ebay rather then the new one in that box of junk.

However, I was befuddled to not see the ‘Marvel Legends TERRAX & NAMELESS ONE Heralds of Galactus 2-pack’ make your list. Magneto had everything to be a great figure, he just needed a bigger torso (and maybe a head without a helmet) in my opinion and he would have been almost perfect.
The only complain I have about this list, is that I think Zero should be number 1. All of these figures are indeed terrible, but if you look another figure on the list for example like, I don't know... the Rose, it's "enough" of an interesting design that I would at least excuse it being there on my shelves. Not that I would buy it in the first place, but if like somebody gave it to me as a present or I found it in the park Zero, on the other hand, is such a terrible figure based on such a bland design, that I can't even justify its existence. It's so bad I'd rather it didn't even exist. If I found it in the trash I would leave it there. It sucks
That NWH 3pk pretty much set the standard for just how bad a year it was gonna be for ML from Hasbro with them blatantly making crap releases that they were gonna redo later on
I stop collecting mid marvel legends, cause most of the figures use the same body mold and the price is not worth what I’m getting. Now I only collect S.H.Figuarts and Storm collectibles
I agree with you anthony on the 3 pack the tobey figure was an abomination and he has an innacuracie that just bothers me so much . He has fully red shoulders with the webs going around it should have an underside with blue Also this figure looks like a old burger king toy with the color scheme and painted weblines
I've been selective this year with ML due to price & space issues.. glad & proud of myself that I didnt buy most of these, except the boxed set figures, as I needed Stryfe & pretty boy.. actually AC has been subtle with the comments, I had big laughs from his previous worse list comments...

I, for one, am very glad you started doing a worst of Marvel Legends video again. Great list! I think I watched almost all your Marvel Legends reviews of the last two years. I don't agree with every single opinion, but in general yes, and your reviews are certainly entertaining and informative. Thanks for the work in 2023. I'd certainly like to see more GI Joe Classified and DC McFarlane reviews in 2024. Now commenting on your worst list: 10) Zero: Agreed about Zero being the least-effort figure they made. At least Silver Surfer has more paint. :) I thought for sure he would be higher. 9) Future Ant-Man: Probably made because he was such low effort. Don't think anybody was clamoring for him, how many issues did he even appear in? Plus black elbow pins! 8) Spider-Woman: I don't hate it, but then I don't care for that costume. Just two extra hands as accessories. 7) Rose: I think the jacket shape is the worst offender. 6) Tarentula: Old body, wrong mask color (either put the mask black or change the black lines and boots to blue) and not a single accessory! Hasbro at its cheapest. Also third figure from that wave on your list. 5) Multiple Man: Ok, the heads are a bit big, but I wouln't consider him one of the worst of the years. Should have been better. 4) 3-pack Forge, Storm and Jubilee: Man, your review convinced me never to get that. But then your review of the other 3-pack (with Banshee, Gambit, Psylocke) convinced me to get that one... when it's discounted for kitbashes. So two different 3-packs with same costumes: one good, one bad. I think that was fair. 3) Magneto: The case where scale and proportions are more important than one might think. Not replacing my current Magneto for that guy. 2) Random: A disappointment, but not remembering the look of the character that well, he didn't "offend" me as much. I see him and I think Random... a smaller, less beefy Random. ;-) I'd also tend to switch his position with Zero from the same five-pack or even to see Vertigo instead. I guess Random just disappointed you more because you were much fonder of him than Zero. 1) Movie Spider-Man 3-pack: A bold choice, I agree with it, and thanks for calling them out. This pack was indeed offensive, deceitful and too expensive. If I had bought it, I would be even angrier.
it may be controversial but I believe Hasbro needs to lose the marvel IP just like mattel lose DC years ago, Hasbro produce mostly garbage compared to diamond select and they are basically at the same price range.
Silver Surfer at least needs white and black paint for the eyes and comes with his board, so I'd say Zero does take the least effort. Hasbro also actually tried with the Spot, which makes Zero sting all the more.
Meh, I didn't mind Random not being ridiculously huge. All that bothered me is the wacky shape of his bio-cannon, and not having interchangeable forearms. Now THAT was lazy!

I'm trying to understand people who get angry about some guy who might not share the same exact thoughts or feelings as them about something, lol that is so weird to me that people would start being abusive and rude to someone over toys or whatever it may be that someone else didn't like, like they want to bully people into liking something that a person doesn't experience as good or fun or likable. Ugh, the internet has brought out some really strange and unlikable people, but luckily people who are so messed up are the minority. If we can get toy releases that are more good than bad, and more good than bad overall in anything, that will be something to celebrate, and it is always helpful to make a fuss about things that we don't think are good products because then the products might be improved if enough people seem to mind and complain about things, and we're the paying customers, we deserve the best, and the multi billion dollar corporations should be using their resources and wealth to provide us with the very best quality products for the very lowest price that they can, that is the job of the customer, to whine and complain and demand and boycott if necessarily to try to pressure ultra wealthy producers of media or entertainment products or products of any sort at all that we operate and consume, that we demand for us and everyone the very best, what we think is best, and not waste our time defending corporations and bothering people who didn't like a product. So even if you didn't mind something about the product, if someone is suggesting improvements, then if you think those are improvements, you should support the suggestion and call for improvements, especially if you think they would make the product better and more enjoyable for people. If someone is wasting their life trying to defend billionaires ripping you off and trying to sell you junk for the highest price they think they can trick you into paying, then you're a dope and probably work for them and should also be shamed away because you're working for the "other side" against the customers and the ordinary people who are making these muggers rich.
I could be wrong but I feel like Zero's headsculpt was actually a new part (please let me know if not true because I could use one for a custom) which is just a cheap way to add a new mold into their library
People waited on most Legends this year for the markdowns. Ollie's is basically a legends warehouse. Ross had a bunch. Sad. Maybe they'll turn it around in 2024. Window's back on the packaging is a start.

The least effort was in that pack. Zero and Vertigo. They are why I'm waiting for the price to go down on that box set. Cheap future Spot figure and Green Sue Storm. SMH Awe that's a bummer with Random. he does look poor. Now ya see why I wouldn't buy this pack? LOL, I didn't buy any of these figures Except Magneto.....and I have to... kitbash him or something....cause that figure needs help. All these figures looked bad enough for me to tell not to do it. Yes, I did watch videos on a lot of them. Retro ones at least had windows so I can see how bad they are. Well here is to hoping the Vision and Justice figures are good. It's nice to start off 2024 on a good note. But then my first two figures of 2023 were Longshot (Yes I do like him. Maybe it is biased) and Spiral which was a great start. But look where it went from there and here we are now. This was probably the worst year for Legends since the dark days of Legends.
The Retro carded three Spider-Man from No Way Home with unmasked heads and the Final Swing Tom Holland figure were far superior and cost only two thirds what the three-pack did. HASBRO!
I um love the Rose figure save for one thing (a thing you pointed out in your review): WHERE IS MY DUAL GUN HOLDING HANDS HASBRO!? Okay, I'm a bit surprised you didn't sneak in an honorable mention with that Spidey retro wave: the lack of accessories. The scaled-down twip hands (one per figure), and wall-crawling hands (I don't think any of them came with those). WTF Hasbro?! I agree with you on the Magneto figure a 100%. Why I bought a Mafex. I got sick and tired of Hasbro's bull in making shitty Magneto figures. Mafex KILLED them with their version.
I only bought 5 Marvel Legends in 2023, being Across the Spiderverse figures: 2099, Miles, Gwen, Spot, Jessica Drew, all on clearance. They have original sculpts, but also the typical Hasbro fanfare of no paint, no BAF pieces, bare minimum accessories, and bad articulation. I most of them but they're not very good.
Multiple Man should be blue, to mix with the Apocalypse Baf version, big mistake. Magneto should be on Vulcan mold, like the one of the second season X97.
Yeah there was a lot of mediocre in Marvel Legends this year. I myself really scaled back. And the only build a figure I was interested in was Ch'od. But even he's a disappointment, because he uses a what, like 10 year ok ld body. Those knees look like they belong on an action figure from the 90s.
I want to do my own video of top 10 worst figures of the year at some point, but I feel like they’d all be legends lol there’s been some great legends but so many bad legends too. My top 2 worst would probably be Agatha and Emma frost. Both look great but Agatha is pretty much a statue from the waist down due to her hard plastic dress and Emma frost is severely hindered by the plastic cape. Both are really only made for vanilla poses.

I had that 3 pack pre-ordered but I cancelled it after the daredevil and amazing friends sets left me cold. I was glad I did as soon as I started seeing pictures of the Tobey spidey. Ended up just getting the figuarts and have no regrets
As far as that 97 Magneto , I feel like the cape and maybe the head along with the Vulcan body customized would make a better Magneto. I could be wrong but I feel I could do that.
I actually agree with this list for the most part. Magneto is way too short. The musculature is fine in my eyes, but he’s too short. Also yeah that Spider-Man 3 pack. I don’t understand it. They’re priced at about 30 bucks per figure but their individual releases (which are better cuz from what I’ve seen) are 25 bucks each. Hasbro does like using that Sunfire body mold. It’s a weird, outdated mold, but it poses well.
Its funny how most of the lazy figures would actually be solid/ good if they had any idea how to sculpt a body lol. Hopefully they might eventually make a blank body that looks at jada fei long or some of the mafex figures for reference. Thats only thing that would make me want to buy ML again.
I didn’t buy any of these, so I guess I lucked out. I almost copped the magneto and I really wanted that Spider-Man three pack, but it pissed me off that They didn’t have the head sculpts so I passed. Good list to me.
Ninja Daredevil should be on the list. In the exact same wave, they released a Hand Ninja with a similar design from the waste down... but DD, a character almost as synonymous with cool poses as Spider-Man has less articulation somehow than a 3rd attempt at the same army builder. The figure itself is fine, I love the design and he's got a place on my shelf for that alone, but the articulation is unacceptable given the needed articulation comes in the exact same wave.
You know, with how Anthony does this every year, I’m assuming Hasbro doesn’t watch and learn from these because they still do the same crap! They’re soooo inconsistent with their releases, and think they can get away with reusing crap body parts. Embarrassing for a company that’s been around for so long!
I know it's easy to rag on this line. Like really easy. But there's probably a bunch of unfortunate financial shackles that come with this brand. They might really be leaning on this line to carry their financials.
Zero should have had a wash (I'd rank him Number 1), Future Ant-Man is mech, Spider-Woman amusingly fell over as you criticized her thanks to reused footage, Rose is only good for kitbashing, Tarantula still sucks, Multiple Man is Multiple Mid, I never really cared about the training suits but I kind of want the Jubilee heads since the paint apps on the non-shaded Jubilee are a bit odd, the Magneto I bought from.eBay has the 97 hands and head on the Family Better and I got it for less, Random needs better proportions for the legs, and yes that NWH set is a big time let down, I got Figuarts Tobey Spidey and its value for money is way better than the 3-pack.
So glad I don't collect Legends. It's bad enough watching all the "modern" Star Wars Black Series figures get spewed out while I wait for an OT Black Series figure surface that I actually will buy. Saves me a lot of $ for other things I like though. Thanks for shinning light on this stuff

Magneto gets my vote for the worst, too short with extra long arms Mister Fantastic would be envious with.

1) Movie Spider-Man 3-pack: A bold choice, I agree with it, and thanks for calling them out. This pack was indeed offensive, deceitful and too expensive. If I had bought it, I would be even angrier.
Marvel legends fans really do just buy the same figure over and over and think "I like the way this sucks!"
it may be controversial but I believe Hasbro needs to lose the marvel IP just like mattel lose DC years ago, Hasbro produce mostly garbage compared to diamond select and they are basically at the same price range.

Silver Surfer at least needs white and black paint for the eyes and comes with his board, so I'd say Zero does take the least effort.
Hasbro also actually tried with the Spot, which makes Zero sting all the more.
Meh, I didn't mind Random not being ridiculously huge. All that bothered me is the wacky shape of his bio-cannon, and not having interchangeable forearms. Now THAT was lazy!

I'm trying to understand people who get angry about some guy who might not share the same exact thoughts or feelings as them about something, lol that is so weird to me that people would start being abusive and rude to someone over toys or whatever it may be that someone else didn't like, like they want to bully people into liking something that a person doesn't experience as good or fun or likable. Ugh, the internet has brought out some really strange and unlikable people, but luckily people who are so messed up are the minority.
If we can get toy releases that are more good than bad, and more good than bad overall in anything, that will be something to celebrate, and it is always helpful to make a fuss about things that we don't think are good products because then the products might be improved if enough people seem to mind and complain about things, and we're the paying customers, we deserve the best, and the multi billion dollar corporations should be using their resources and wealth to provide us with the very best quality products for the very lowest price that they can, that is the job of the customer, to whine and complain and demand and boycott if necessarily to try to pressure ultra wealthy producers of media or entertainment products or products of any sort at all that we operate and consume, that we demand for us and everyone the very best, what we think is best, and not waste our time defending corporations and bothering people who didn't like a product.
So even if you didn't mind something about the product, if someone is suggesting improvements, then if you think those are improvements, you should support the suggestion and call for improvements, especially if you think they would make the product better and more enjoyable for people. If someone is wasting their life trying to defend billionaires ripping you off and trying to sell you junk for the highest price they think they can trick you into paying, then you're a dope and probably work for them and should also be shamed away because you're working for the "other side" against the customers and the ordinary people who are making these muggers rich.
I could be wrong but I feel like Zero's headsculpt was actually a new part (please let me know if not true because I could use one for a custom) which is just a cheap way to add a new mold into their library
My taste and resolve are improving. I only bought three entries in this year’s top ten: Tarantula, Magneto, and the X-Men three pack.

People waited on most Legends this year for the markdowns. Ollie's is basically a legends warehouse. Ross had a bunch. Sad. Maybe they'll turn it around in 2024. Window's back on the packaging is a start.
I think the Spiderman retro-wave and the Captain Marvel/Avengers wave alone are some of the worst figures Hasbro has released this year

Awe that's a bummer with Random. he does look poor. Now ya see why I wouldn't buy this pack? LOL, I didn't buy any of these figures Except Magneto.....and I have to... kitbash him or something....cause that figure needs help. All these figures looked bad enough for me to tell not to do it. Yes, I did watch videos on a lot of them. Retro ones at least had windows so I can see how bad they are.
Well here is to hoping the Vision and Justice figures are good. It's nice to start off 2024 on a good note. But then my first two figures of 2023 were Longshot (Yes I do like him. Maybe it is biased) and Spiral which was a great start. But look where it went from there and here we are now. This was probably the worst year for Legends since the dark days of Legends.
The Retro carded three Spider-Man from No Way Home with unmasked heads and the Final Swing Tom Holland figure were far superior and cost only two thirds what the three-pack did. HASBRO!

Okay, I'm a bit surprised you didn't sneak in an honorable mention with that Spidey retro wave: the lack of accessories. The scaled-down twip hands (one per figure), and wall-crawling hands (I don't think any of them came with those). WTF Hasbro?!
I agree with you on the Magneto figure a 100%. Why I bought a Mafex. I got sick and tired of Hasbro's bull in making shitty Magneto figures. Mafex KILLED them with their version.

I only bought 5 Marvel Legends in 2023, being Across the Spiderverse figures: 2099, Miles, Gwen, Spot, Jessica Drew, all on clearance.
They have original sculpts, but also the typical Hasbro fanfare of no paint, no BAF pieces, bare minimum accessories, and bad articulation. I most of them but they're not very good.

Multiple Man should be blue, to mix with the Apocalypse Baf version, big mistake. Magneto should be on Vulcan mold, like the one of the second season X97.
Yeah there was a lot of mediocre in Marvel Legends this year. I myself really scaled back. And the only build a figure I was interested in was Ch'od. But even he's a disappointment, because he uses a what, like 10 year ok ld body. Those knees look like they belong on an action figure from the 90s.
Their quality control this year was just sad 😢

I want to do my own video of top 10 worst figures of the year at some point, but I feel like they’d all be legends lol there’s been some great legends but so many bad legends too. My top 2 worst would probably be Agatha and Emma frost. Both look great but Agatha is pretty much a statue from the waist down due to her hard plastic dress and Emma frost is severely hindered by the plastic cape. Both are really only made for vanilla poses.

I had that 3 pack pre-ordered but I cancelled it after the daredevil and amazing friends sets left me cold. I was glad I did as soon as I started seeing pictures of the Tobey spidey. Ended up just getting the figuarts and have no regrets

As far as that 97 Magneto , I feel like the cape and maybe the head along with the Vulcan body customized would make a better Magneto. I could be wrong but I feel I could do that.

I actually agree with this list for the most part. Magneto is way too short. The musculature is fine in my eyes, but he’s too short. Also yeah that Spider-Man 3 pack. I don’t understand it. They’re priced at about 30 bucks per figure but their individual releases (which are better cuz from what I’ve seen) are 25 bucks each. Hasbro does like using that Sunfire body mold. It’s a weird, outdated mold, but it poses well.
Low effort describes Marvel Legends in general over the past 6 years.
Its funny how most of the lazy figures would actually be solid/ good if they had any idea how to sculpt a body lol. Hopefully they might eventually make a blank body that looks at jada fei long or some of the mafex figures for reference. Thats only thing that would make me want to buy ML again.

2023 was quite a worthless year for MLs that my only purchases where used ones on clearance or retail: Endgame Valkyrie and WandaVision Scarlet Witch.

I didn’t buy any of these, so I guess I lucked out. I almost copped the magneto and I really wanted that Spider-Man three pack, but it pissed me off that They didn’t have the head sculpts so I passed. Good list to me.
Ninja Daredevil should be on the list. In the exact same wave, they released a Hand Ninja with a similar design from the waste down... but DD, a character almost as synonymous with cool poses as Spider-Man has less articulation somehow than a 3rd attempt at the same army builder. The figure itself is fine, I love the design and he's got a place on my shelf for that alone, but the articulation is unacceptable given the needed articulation comes in the exact same wave.

I know it's easy to rag on this line. Like really easy. But there's probably a bunch of unfortunate financial shackles that come with this brand. They might really be leaning on this line to carry their financials.
Zero should have had a wash (I'd rank him Number 1), Future Ant-Man is mech, Spider-Woman amusingly fell over as you criticized her thanks to reused footage, Rose is only good for kitbashing, Tarantula still sucks, Multiple Man is Multiple Mid, I never really cared about the training suits but I kind of want the Jubilee heads since the paint apps on the non-shaded Jubilee are a bit odd, the Magneto I bought from.eBay has the 97 hands and head on the Family Better and I got it for less, Random needs better proportions for the legs, and yes that NWH set is a big time let down, I got Figuarts Tobey Spidey and its value for money is way better than the 3-pack.
I literally know why i only have about 10 marvel legends in my whole collection of over 350 figures...they suck hard!
So glad I don't collect Legends. It's bad enough watching all the "modern" Star Wars Black Series figures get spewed out while I wait for an OT Black Series figure surface that I actually will buy. Saves me a lot of $ for other things I like though. Thanks for shinning light on this stuff
