hey spider farmer i just noticed that your new sf1000 doesnt use a mean well transformer, kinda bummed as i have read they are the best and i wanted to buy a sf1000
Sooo very happy for another blessing of grow light, Sweetheart! 🥳 Spider Farmer lights are great and the plants show awesome results under them. I know you’re loving the new features too. Loved watching the video with you, as always. Simple, honest and concise presentation too. Here’s to more blessings on this channel! 🙏🥳❤️🌵🌺🌸🌼❤️
Thank you so much my love 🥰 Yeah their lights are fantastic, had great results with the SF-600 and that won’t go to waste, still great for seedlings and mature plants. Definitely loving the dimming function on this, great for Haworthia as well which won’t need the 100% intensity. Enjoyed watching with you too as always babe, thank you for all your love, support and encouragement ❤️🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼❤️
Thats FANTASTIC you have the new Spider farmer SF 1000 and it looks absolutely AMAZING with the dimmable lighting settings, and this is a FANTASTIC video you have made and we are so looking forward to seeing how your plants and seedlings grow under this amazing new Grow light, Spider Farmer Grow lights really are INCREDIBLE :-D thanks so much for sharing Daz, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Emerald Isle to England and Singapore for a wonderful evening XXXX
Thank you so much Lyn 😊 Having the dimmer is really handy, love the fact you can connect multiple of them together as well, not sure why I’d need 12 though, but I know people who grow, different, plants will like that feature 😂 Hoping the Gymno seedlings do well under this, they’ve already straightened up since being under it for a few days, so that’s a very good sign. Thank you so much for watching and commenting and all your support, Lyn. From Edith & myself to you and Hans, have a wonderful evening ❤️🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜
Thanks mate. Although the hot weather we had recently made a few of the Haworthia go into a dormant state, nighttime temps were too high for them as well, had another that completely lost all its roots too, but the majority of them are doing fine and some are flowering again. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, from Edith & myself, have a great day and weekend 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
I've noticed with grow lights sometimes when they are hanging crooked its because of pressure being exerted by the power lead and onto the light simply fiddling with that will often straighten things out.
Yeah the cables can be a pain sometimes because of that. I guess that’s one of the added benefits of being able to take the driver off, it can help with that issue. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
Hello bro . I got 3 of the spider farmer lights ...can you tell what height i should be from the plants and also what dimmer setting i should for seedlings .. .plants ....and flowering
It all depends what you’re growing. With cacti and succulent seedlings I have the light at around 20 inches and the dimmer set to 80%, seems to be a good height for them where they’re not getting too much and burning or not enough and stretching. Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy growing 🌵☀️🌼🏜
Thank you, Magda. The light is attached to the ceiling on some hooks. Thank you for watching and commenting, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 😊🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Looks like a great light!!! These spider farmer lights seem like the best!! Can't wait for your update!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks to the the U.K.& Singapore, have a great day!!! Peace,Love,Plants!!!✌💖🌵🌹🌴🌷🌿🌸🌻🍀🌺
Thank you, Clyde. These are great lights, the model below this one I’ve been using has been excellent, so expecting good things from this one. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend, from Edith & myself to you and Deb, have a wonderful day 😊🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
Thank you, Vanesa 😊 Need to be careful with the Haworthia under this light though, as they’re considered low light plants the full intensity light from this could stress them, but that’s where having the accessible dimming function comes in handy. Thank you for watching and commenting, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
@@Cactimania You're welcome☺️. That's true, you have to be careful with excessive light in haworthias. In the video, they're so beautiful 👍 Have a wonderful day, you and Edith too!🤗
Oh, I like this light! 😃 I’m sure you will have great results. I like how they made a knob for the dimming function. That makes it so much easier than unscrewing the box. My SF does not have that function yet... (hint, hint... 😉). Your gymno seedlings seem to be growing well.
Thank you so much, Ana 😊 I’m loving this light so far, definitely a big upgrade from the SF600. Definitely handy having the ability to dim the light without having to mess with unscrewing the driver. I’m sure SF will send you an upgrade too, maybe the upgraded SF-2000? 😉 The Gymno seedlings are doing well and have already reacted to being under the light for a few days. Thank you so much for watching and commenting Ana, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜☕️
consider yourselves lucky, version 1 and 2 of the sf1000 used meanwell drivers and samsung diodes, while the newer versions use a no name driver and non samsung diodes, check out albopepper channel, he exposes this
Real nice looking light their mate.. i like how thin it actually is....by the wat your tears of angels and your variegated limifolias look fantastic 👌👌
Haha yeah I’ve thought that too, and I’ve had to battle those nasty beasties as well, hate them. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy growing 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
Hi Daz! So this Spider LED Grow Light is an upgrade from the previous one with added dimmable function. I know we can then control the brightness but I'm wondering....what is the function of the brightness control to the plants? We can adjust brightness but what is its real use? Another good and interesting review, Daz. Good job! 🙏🙏👍👍
Hi Molly. Being able to adjust the brightness makes it good and more convenient for young plants/seedlings, like right now I have the Gymno seedlings under it and the brightness set to 60%, as they grow and get more used to the extra light I can gradually increase the light intensity. It’s good for lower light plants as well like the Haworthia that don’t need the full intensity light. Thank you for watching and commenting as always Molly, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful day 🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜
It does but for cacti and succulents it works better for their growth. Flowers tend to not open fully under it. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Dudeist Lenny I’m sorry to hear that. What problems did you have with your one and why wouldn’t they honour the warranty? Should anything go wrong with my one it wouldn’t be a huge deal and I wouldn’t be out of pocket as I got it for nothing.

The spider farmer is kinda ironic name since the worst bugs that could infest your plants are spider mites lmfao

how do u turn this thing off. just by unplugging?
The switch on the front of the dimmer box. There’s one on the back to turn the dimming function on and off as well 👍🏻🌵☀️🏜
I don't see a UL rating on the ballast? Hmmmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔
Isn’t that for power cords and US use only? I’m in the UK.

Mine don't tilt bro.
The tilt is only very slight on this one and hasn’t been an issue. Cheers for watching and commenting 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
Spider farmer/ Meizhi are crooks! They would not honour their warranty! It may be an ok light, but if you have problems with it...good luck!

The most ridiculous thing, unscrew the driver to get to the dim screw. WTF were they thinking?
Yeah not the best design choice I agree. Cheers for watching and commenting 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
