On "My Car Story" we're in the Suburbs of Chicago on 9-24-16.
We're looking at a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback in Acapulco Blue Paint.
The car's Owner is Jeff Fowler. Jeff purchased the car April of 2016. His first car was a 1957 Chevy that had to be towed home. He and his Dad worked on the engine, and got it running enough to sell it, and buy his first Mustang. He’s been a Mustang Guy since. He looked for 2 years for the right Mustang that would have the options that would be ideal for him and his wife to take drives in, and here is that car.
ENJOY!

The 69 mustang fastback imo is the best looking of all time, beautiful styling !
High praise :-)
BEAUTIFUL!!! This '69 Mach 1 in Acapulco Blue with a 351 4-speed is one of the most beautiful cars ever made and one of my favorites of all time. I hope Jeff and his wife have years of fun cruising in it.

Great car! My father had a red, stripe delete '69 429cj and I still remember as a kid sitting next to dad as we pulled it off of the dealer's lot. Btw, this car looks and sounds like the left bank has a cracked or leaking exhaust manifold.
Good times in your Fathers ride :-) Nice!
One of the most Beautiful Mach 1 i ever seen, and a i never heared of color Acapulco Blue!!! congratulations to the owner.
High praise :-)
Best looking mustang of all mustangs ever made!
High praise Andrew Samy :-)
AGREED Andrew.
Very nice. I love the fastback styling with the spoiler in the back. The turn signals behind the hood scoop, real cool.
Excellent points. The car is so wonderfully designed. Thank you for sharing a comment, Lou
I absolutely love the Acapulco Blue color. The ‘69 Mach 1 was one of my all time favorite cars.
Hi Dave, Happy to read this is an all time favorite for you & in blue too, Lou
Very Cool Car.........the blacked out hood with that scoop/lights is "Boss"...lol,,,Thanks Lou.
Hi Mike, Happy to read you enjoy this "Very Cool Car" :-) You're welcome, Lou
Awesome Stang. I have a ‘69 Mach 1 myself. Have had it since I was 13 (39 now). Became my High School car now I’m restoring it again. I cringed just a bit when he pulled the pins out and let them go to open the hood and how he kinda slammed it to close it lol but that’s just how I am. I don’t even close my doors hard. Over all it’s a beautiful Mach 1. I like taking pride in fixing it up myself and really know it’s value. 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi BigDaddy956 SoTex, Glad you enjoy this one and you're clearly a great Care Taker for your 69 Mach 1 :-) Hope you see many more cars on this RUclips Channel you'll enjoy, Lou

The name Jeff Fowler sounds SO FAMILIAR to me & he seems like such a NICE guy. He favors my friend Raymond (who taught me how to drive) & his voice sounds like Ray Manzarek's (The Doors). His car is BEAUTIFUL & is one of my dream cars. Thank you for making this video!
Hi Adrienne, Glad you enjoy this car and consider this one a "Dream Car" :-) Lou
My brother Mike had a 1969 Mach1 with the 351 Cleveland, 4 barrel carburetor Lou. Red color.

I had a 1966 FORD Mustang Coupe while in High School that I fixed up like a 66 Shelby GT350 Coupe!...After High School I bought a 1969 FORD Mustang Mach 1 w/351ci. 2bbl V8 hooked up to a 3sp C4 Auto Trans!!...l had plan to Modify it into a Shelby GT500!...I am Just Saying!...God Bless America! 😇
BTW!...If you Haven't all ready I would like to see you do a Review/Drive a 69/70 Shelby GT500!...I am Just Saying! 😇
Hi David, Sounds like FUN times in High School :-) Here is the 69 Shelby GT500 ruclips.net/video/4-fYfb3bi7c/видео.html & looks like I need to find a 70 GT 500 .... , Thanks for the tip, Lou
Love it! I'm also currently looking for the right 69-70 mustang.
Hi Jeffrey, Take your time finding the right one for you, and I hope you find yours soon, Lou
Jeffrey Cruz they're amazing cars! I actually know the guy in the video and in person that thing is LOUD so put cherry bomb exhaust on yours if you want it to sound like his.
Thank you great times my favorite color is blue!!!!
My pleasure sharing with you :-)
It's my dream to get a 68/69 Fastback one day. It doesn't necessarily have to be a BOSS or a Mach 1 but I hope I'm able to get one soon. They're the first cars I got into before getting into other cars.
Hi Doomreb, Hope you're behind the wheel of yours soon :-) Lou
Nice, Im still looking for one very similar to yours....one day I'll find it
Hi J L Williams, Glad you enjoy this one :-) Hope you find you're soon, Lou
The peculiarity of the '69 Mustang is the headlight configuration. Those are four headlights, high and low beam, not center fog lights. The masterful styling of the grille gives the appearance of them being fog lights, a la '68 California Special. 1969 was the only year that a factory Mustang had four headlights, the '67 Shelby excluded.
Hi Al Terego, Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge, Lou
Best looking Mustang ever made I wish I still had mine I sold it in 1983 it looked just like this I gave it away sold it for $1,800
Hi H. Snider, Agreed, a good looking car. Hope you're behind the wheel of another 1969 soon, Lou
The "squeeze the wheel" horn was featured also on the Mk IV Continental.

Nice mustang
:-)
👍 Sweet!
Happy to read and see you like this one :-)
Very nice car, love the color on this one. Have not seen on in that color before. Thanks.
Hi Thomas Huteson, Glad you enjoyed the color on this one :-) I like blue on a sports car. You're welcome, Lou
The cool thing about it is that it's a rotisserie restoration. I'm close friends with the owner and we met up and took it for a spin. It's the most amazing car ever made to me. I absolutely adore it
The lights in the grill are not fog lights. They are the bright headlights.

Stripes are reflective!
Thank you for viewing & sharing your knowledge.
@@loucostabile welcome,I have owned 3 of these & wish i had another!!
First car was a '66 2+2, 289, 2 v, 3 spd. Second was the '69 mach, same color 351 W 2 V 4 spd top loader. 3.0 rear gears. 20 mpg @ 65 mph. The inner lights in the grill were high beams, that's where I replaced 1 high beam with an aircraft landing light good for those long late night drives.
HI William Lewis, Fun to see cars you're familiar with. Brings back good memories :-) Hope you see many more cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
chingon
High praise :-)
Was that an exhaust manifold leaking ? I have a 1970 Mach 1 351 white with black striping ,shaker hood, spoilers, slats.I love all of them from 65-73.You have a really nice Mustang.
Hi Timmy Hudson, Happy to read you enjoy this car :-) Didn't seem like it, however we'll check, Lou
The 351C is one of the baddest stock performers Ford ever made. The 71 Mustang 351C Ram Air was quicker 1/4 mile than the 429. I had a 351C 71 Mustang grande 2 bbl auto with a bowman shift kit. I regularly beat my friend and his GTO Judge and my friends 71 Charger with a 400 4bbl stop light to stop light all day long. I could chirp 2nd with that auto, Good times!
Hi Bob Bob, Thanks for sharing your 351 Cleveland chirping like a song bird in 2nd gear automatic story :-) Lou
Would love to know what he's running for exhaust... sounds great.
Hi Rick, Hmmm, not sure. Glad you enjoy the sounds from this car, Lou
This Looks like a Very nice Concourse Restoration. Even the correct C9ZE radiator hose & clamps..This is a M Code car which means 4V 351 ..The H Code 2V 351 was the least HP option for the 69 Mach 1..Beautiful Example Mach 1..Too bad about the exhaust manifold gasket leak. Easy fix though...
Hi Robert Stewart, Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge and adding to the story, Lou
Love most mustangs but the 1969 Mach I is my all-time fav. Prefer the Rangoon red color personally though. Currently own a 1965 coupe in Rangoon red, a 2007 and a 2014. Three are enough. Ha. Ha. Ha. 2007 retro styling was a great job by Ford.
Hi Captsaison, Happy to read the 1969 Mach 1 is your all time favorite. Three Pony's in the Barn :-) Lou
Lol, I don't think you could find a 69'-70' Mach I without power steering by accident. They were sort of a luxury Mustang for the most part.
Hi Johnnyc drums, "a luxury Mustang" I like that :-) Lou
Johnnyc drums even starting in '68, the Shelby GT's and KR's were getting more luxurious, Ford started to take more control of them, turning them into luxurious muscle cars.
You have a point to some extent. I mean, this car MOVES for a car from 1969. It's a beast
Johnnyc drums I own a Mach one without power steering lol
I'm surprised anyone can afford one of these here in Illinois, with the taxes the 2nd highest taxes in America. This one is the exact color and everything I'd want in a 69 ford mustang. I'd also try to add the 427sohc in it.
Hi Brandon H, Happy to read this one is just like one you'd like (+ a 427). Hope you see MANY more cars on this RUclips Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
notice this car has replaced the automatic with a 4 speed according to the Marti report.
Thanks for viewing and sharing.
Sorry but the lights in the front grill are not fog lights they are the hi beam head lights the out side head lights are the low beam

It kind of sucks that the window sticker shown from 7:37 to 8:01 is not the original documentation. Take not e the bottom of the page at 7:40 that it reads for specific models up to 1989.
Hola, eres el Chileno que viene a cooperar para la Teletón...?

69 Boss mustangs do have rear brake vents
Thank you for viewing & sharing. Hope you see many more cars on this RUclips Channel you enjoy, Lou
What mufflers are on this car?
Hmmm, not sure.
Not fog lights, High beams.
Hi Mike, Thank you for the correct info, Lou
Am I missing something? I saw no speedometer.
Hi Joseph, AT 6:06 the speedometer is the right of the two gauges, Lou
It's a crying shame that some states require a front license plate to ugly up a beautiful front end.
Hi Bob Bob, I like the one plate rule. Lou
3:30 You said the (1969) Boss Mustangs did NOT have that faux vent on the rear quarter panels. Here is a 1969 Boss 429, featured on Jay Leno's Garage, restored to 100% factory condition, that does have those vents. ruclips.net/video/pNYfrsYZf4s/видео.html

1969 Boss 302’s did not have it due Larry’s Shinoda’s influence on the 302 body……so Lou was right, @@loucostabile
