    Secrets Impressions Moxché is ironically enough no secret at all. This is one of the most hyped-up resorts I've ever stayed at. Countless blog posts were written about how this was an amazing points deal and a must-visit property. The question is, was the hype worth it? Overall, I would say yes it mostly is. This is a wonderful hotel and absolutely worth a visit for the right price. Of course, there are some (big) issues with this place. Most notable is the timeshare pitch and smell from the beach.
    Our cost for this stay was 25,000 World of Hyatt Points per night (some nights were actually a bit cheaper due to off-peak pricing). For this price, the hotel is no question worth a visit. For the new price of 50,000 World of Hyatt points, not so much.
    Is the Impression side worth an upgrade over the standard Moxche side? Honestly, that is a tough call but I would probably say yes (especially if you are not a Hyatt Globalist) unless the price difference is huge. You feel a lot more exclusive on the Impressions side and there is much less crowding.

    The food and everything about this resort are spectacular. The seaweed has nothing to do with the hotel, it’s because of people in the world!
    Pools are not brown! They are dark due to the dark tile!
    This is an amazing g resort!

    Great review. To the point and thorough. I'm thinking to stay at Impression Moxche late April early March possibly splurging for a swim up suite but I'm worried about the sargassum/seaweed. Should we be unlucky and it's bad at the time we're there, would we be able to smell the stench if we stayed at one of the swim up suites? Thanks so much!

    • @TheTravelLane
      @TheTravelLane  7 месяцев назад

      I think it would depend on which suite you are staying in but my guess is that you would be fine. On the impression side, a lot of the swim-out suites are far back enough that you should be good. Also since they are on the ground level I think that helps a bit given the foliage and such. Are you planning on trying Teodoro?

    Our experience with the sales pitch at Dreams Los Cabos was absolutely awful. The workers were fine but we finely agreed to going in order to receive a free couples massage. They had a hard time with my husband telling them we didn’t want to purchase and tried to give us drinks in order to sign but we don’t drink. They weren’t happy and it was a draining two hours. Not to mention the only food that we enjoyed there was the Buffett.

      Just got back and I agree on food, it’s hit or miss. Some items are really good and others not so much. It’s not terrible in any way but has plenty of room for improvement. Sushi was the worse sushi I ever had.

    Hey, i'm staying 7 nights in December: Can you tell what kind of alcohols are included at the pools or bars ? Is it only cocktails or you can order straight whisky for example ?
    Also, can you tell if the Jacuzzis are actually HOTS or is it the same temperature than the pools ?
    Can I have access to Secrets Impressions rooftop pools if i'm staying at Secrets Moxche ?

    • @TheTravelLane
      @TheTravelLane  10 месяцев назад +1

      Great questions! We didn't drink so I can't tell you for sure but I think you could order whatever you like? For the hot tub temperatures, it varied one-day being the same temperature as the pools but rest of the time it was legitimately hot.

    You were spot on with your review. The Bamboo restaurant was my wife and I favorite for lunch. Dinner at Seaside surf and turf was impressive. Breakfast at seaside felt very attentive and relaxed. We truly enjoyed having a peaceful breakfast. The burger on the rooftop impressions side was amazing.

    The timeshare pitch and brown pools and oceans should be a no go for a $1500/nt hotel. How did the service compare to Thompson the Cape and WA Cabo?

    • @TheTravelLane
      @TheTravelLane  Год назад

      The service was pretty good. Noticeably better on the Impressions side. I'd say better than The Cape but not as good as WA Cabo, not saying they weren't as friendly or anything but it's just too big of a hotel to compete with WA Cabo on a service level.
      Shoutout to Nicholas who works at the Impressions Rooftop, he was awesome!

    We went to the time share pitch at the playa Del Carmen Moxché they our towable service there everyone’s all stuck up even the workers they were all really nice at the beginning. Once we said no to paying 90,000 which is 1600 a month with $26,000 down payment there they were rude they left us alone. We didn’t know how to get out of the timeshare room, nobody had time for us. Very horrible hotel really nice tho

    I just booked through my hyatt points/chase reward system. How much was the impression upgrade? How do you upgrade ? And was it worth the upgrade ?

    • @TheTravelLane
      @TheTravelLane  11 месяцев назад

      Did you book with Hyatt points or via the chase travel portal? I would advise to never book via the travel portal if possible. I booked the impression side directly on hyatt using points so there was no extra charge. If you are paying with points I would personally say it's worth it to pay the extra 10,000 Hyatt points per night to be on the impressions side

      I would love to visit but if I’m correct it’s also 50K Hyatt points per night?
      To be honest regardless of how good it is idk if I could ever pay that given that Calala Island is 40k, Ventana is 40k, Park Hyatt Kyoto is 40k, PH and Alila Maldives are 30k. There are just so many good options for so much cheaper
      If I had way more points though then I would probably book it

      My guess would probably be the Hyatt Miraval properties since they are so wellness focused. Although if you could speciality properties like Calala island I’m sure that would be #1
