Hi, my wife and I are going there for our 5 year wedding anniversary.. two questions...What room did you booked? I mean what type? And last question, what is the key app? thank you !
Hi, Congrats on your upcoming 5th wedding anniversary! The key app (and also very useful for a lot of things like housekeeping, restaurant menus etc) is Hyatt Inclusive Collection: apps.apple.com/gb/app/hyatt-inclusive-collection/id1561920692 -That’s the link for iOS. The room type was “Preferred Club, Superior Junior Suite, King, Ocean View”. I’ve actually stayed in the exact same room there twice now and it was still lovely. If you have a different type of room booked, they let you upgrade (for a fee of course!) when you’re checking in, and the fee is often less than you’ll see online if it’s fairly close to the date of travel. The only trouble is they only have something like 12 of this room type, so of course availability is tricky. I hope you both have an amazing time!
Hi @KNG-os3bs, Thanks for your feedback and question - hopefully I can help... So the restaurant noise was non-existent, the only noise you could vaguely hear on that side was the live evening music entertainment from the open-air restaurant opposite. I however found this a positive as you could sit out on your balcony and enjoy the live music and it didn't go on late enough that it would interfere with sleep. Actually the only noise I did find disturbing overnight was from the corridor to the rooms, it was like there was nothing between us and the people in the corridor which was unexpected. So staff moving around with their carts etc did wake us but fortunately it didn't seem to be a high traffic area for other people accessing rooms, so it wasn't a big annoyance, but enough to clock it, if you know what I mean. I hope that helps, let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
We are staying here for our honeymoon arriving 18th April and have booked the same room type as yours which was great to view the only one I've found on RUclips My question is as a Brit how did you tip Dollars or Mexican Pesos?
Oh amazing, I'm so excited for you! Congrats on your marriage...and great choice of honeymoon! Tips would be accepted in either but the norm is definitely US dollars. I do recall seeing a cash machine in the lobby near the Market Cafe - obviously you'll get hit on the exchange doing it that way, but I mention it's presence just in case as a back up option. But yea, no matter whether you're in the resort, out and about or to and from, everyone assumes it'll be US dollars. Hope you have a fabulous time...I'm counting down the days until I go back in Decemeber! x
Hi @charismao5515, this was the regular Moxché. I did have a look at Impressions from the beachfront and it was nice but it looked empty, and whilst I like a peaceful atmosphere, I still would want a little of action around me personally. You still can use all the regular restaurants etc if you’re staying there though. To be honest, I personally couldn’t figure out what justified the price gap, but in fairness, I didn’t go inside.
@@BrideSociety many thanks fro the response, went to Excellence RC in October 2022 and no one was wearing a face cloth following governments lifting of restrictions? Hence my asking. we are off there in June this year. Thanks again and good luck with the business... Charlie..
Not even a year of opening and wear and tear is fully visible; it's so overpriced and it's not worth it but you can try it and the beach / sea is awful!
Oh no! Sorry to hear that was your experience. We liked it so much we booked our next trip there before we’d even left the resort! We’d been able to find a decent deal and didn’t see any signs of wear & tear in the areas we were in with the exception of one of the table tennis tables…though they said there was a new one on the way. Which bits were looking rough when you were there? I agree the beach / sea location is not the best in the area, though didn’t feel able to properly comment on that aspect as my husband had an injury which meant we couldn’t really go on the sand that much. I’d say Secrets Akumal definitely has more to offer on the beach/ocean side of things and would be my preference from that point of view. Have you been to that one?

Good review. I saw your room was above and next to restaurants/seating - how was the noise in the evening/night ?

@@BrideSociety Thank you for replying we can't wait to get out there and enjoy all the resort has to offer
Thank you again M&M
@markmason1379 No problem at all! In all honesty, it's nice to know that someone out there found my review useful :) Enjoy!
Was this the newer Secrets “Impression” Moxche or the regular Moxche ?

How much was this
Hi, I see some staff wearing masks? This requiremnt was dropped in mexico several months ago, any reason given for this??
Hi. No reason was given, perhaps personal preference. Footage was filmed in mid December, I don’t know if that makes any difference.
