Damn, I remember when this show first aired and how fun/entertaining it was. Not to say that it hasn't been entertaining over the years, but I hate seeing how their sisterhood has changed for the worst 💔💔 I wish them all well 💗

When this show first came out, I watched episode 1 and knew this is where it would end up. I said then, "This family doesn't need this publicity." I never really watched, except a stray episode every now and then/someone else's tv, etc. And sure enough..... here we are. And it's sad 😔

This family needs healing. If it ain’t one thing it’s another. Traci has every right to feel how she feels. It’s deeper issues than just the record deal. They continued to dog her out & leave her outcasted as if she didn’t bring value. Internal issues definitely need to be resolved.

Traci is always entitled to her feelings.. however, she’s also entitled to holding accountability (which she never does). In all honesty, Traci outcasted herself. According to the sisters & what we’ve seen on the show, she rightfully chose her child and walked away from the group. When the parents got a divorce she chose her father’s side and separated herself from her sisters. When the started doing backup for Toni she stayed on the sidelines complaining, then when given a chance she didn’t take it seriously. When her family went on strike as a unit for better pay, she decided to not stick with them and stay on the show. Granted, those were her rightful decisions to make.. but you can’t complain about your sisters outcasting you, when you’ve written the script for yourself. She directed this play 🤷🏽♀️

Yes you right she choose her child, but don't say she choose her dad's side of the family she lives in Maryland just like her brother n the rest if the her family because that is where they are from!! The sisters n mother moved away so of course she sees the rest of her family that lives in Maryland n that's family from both sides not just her dad's !!! N the few times Toni used Traci on the show she had a few days or so to prepare!! The other sisters knew the steps because they had been touring with Toni for years!!! She needed time to prepare n wasn't given much!! N the other sisters had careers outside the show so when they did the walk out Traci still had a family to take care of so she went to work!! A job!!! If your family quit the job n you ain't got no money to take care of your family you gone quit too??? I think not because I definitely wouldn't !!! Traci didn't outcast herself she just didn't live around her sisters !!

She said while the sisters chose her mother’s side, she chose her father’s and they didn’t like that. As for Toni’s show, the sisters ALWAYS usually only had days to prepare. That’s not an excuse for Traci when she got her behind on stage DRUNK, and then walked right off the stage in the middle of the performance. As for the strike, Traci said with her OWN mouth that the reason she chose to stay on the show wasn’t because she “has to feed her family”.. she said verbatim “they chose the record deal without me back then, so now I’m choosing to do the show without them”. Those were her EXACT words, which mean she did it out of spite! Let’s be real .... who does Traci have to feed beside herself? Her husband is a working grown man, and so is her grown son. Stop the capping & excuses. Traci chose her walk, and THATS FINE.. just stop plying victim when you’ve created your circumstances.. don’t y’all say that about Tamar ? 🤔

When these people look you in the face and act like what they've done or said, never happened, it can be a trigger. It bothered me for years and I still dealt with them because they're family, you know? But I learned that this family was nothing more than DNA infused pessimism mixed with over the top hypocrisy.
I had to stop. My communication is with them is scarce. Thank God my father's side of the family isn't like this. No judgment, no comparison, just cool peoole who genuinely love one another.

In Traci’s defense The sister dynamic changed when Toni signed her contract with LAFace . After that came the album deal for the sisters . I think until they really need to deal with their issues . The sister dynamic will never change . Like Iyanla said ,” It starts from the head “ . The mother has had a toxic influence on her children choosing the more the famous and connected one over her other kids.” It’s a hierarchy in that family , where Boundaries were crossed by the Mother. They became her girlfriends instead of daughters . There is no sisterhood just favoritism . The parents divorce was instrumental forcing the children to pick sides . By the way it was in the beginning of Toni’s success in music .
But when is she going to let this SHIT GO? the sisters didn't make it big. Traci has her husband still. LET THAT SHIT GO.
caribbean queen it’s so easy for you to say just let go . This decades of issues compounded into an edited reality show . Each of the sisters need individual therapy. They were not given proper coping mechanisms and learning how to communicate effectively. The best advice is to leave television 📺 and get counseling. But the family has caught the pseudo fame bug . So in reality there will be resolution. , because they choose fame over resolution sadly .

Traci comes off as the realest of all those sisters and she deserve respect! I'm sure if they weren't her sisters she would have dragged everyone of them besides Trina.

Traci needs therapy to be able to let go and let God. I remember in the old episodes she was super close to Trina and Towanda. You have to be OK with yourself and know that you are enough. You cannot be a victim your whole life.

Man I feel for Traci! There's pressure on all sides! To want to have that sisterly bond but still be treated like you don't fit in is tough. It's tough because even if you cut of what hurts you save yourself you still miss wanting the closeness. All of these ladies including Ms. E have developed an idea that they have to act and be certain way. They have been doing it so long each of them forgot what is real and most important. Now that they are tired and want to be themselves it isn't fitting the narrative they lost themselves in previously.

Boom! She has problems with EVERYONE! all of her friends is no longer friends. She can never keep them. The only friends she has is gay guys and some of them have circled out of her life. But that entire family got issues and it started with mama and her bitterness and it affected the sisters in a way that brings chaos amongst them. It's sad.

I just wonder at what point do we just let go of the anger? Not that anyone’s feelings are not valid but, when do we work on ourselves and understand the real underlying source of the hurt. Most times we won’t get the reaction or words we are looking for/want to hear from people that have knowingly or unknowingly hurt us. Doing the personal work is what matters most because at the end of the day all we have is ourselves.
Right! Tracis feeling r warranted and totally understandable but she has to cut them off n heal herself that’s the only path to peace and happiness. Traci’s opinion wasn’t properly heard, or respected, which helps me to understand why she was suffering from esophageal cancer (throat cancer). I’m just happy she was able to sing and make songs before she passed away. She deserved much better

This show has gotten so dark. I used to love this show. The first season was fun. Now its just too dramatic for me. We all got shit going on in our lives, tv is supposed to give us a temporary escape...this shit makes me more depressed!

That’s pretty different. Her sisters don’t get away with everything. They all have issues with one another. Traci is the only one ready to fist fight and never willing to talk about it. She harbors it and then snaps when she finally says something because she’s holding grudges. When they have calmly spoke about it in the past (on camera), she just brings up the contract deal she couldn’t sign or say she’s not supported in her endeavors (beauty shop in the hood and a terrible album). Same ol sad story every season. It’s her. She’s the problem. It’s time for her to stop harboring that pain and seek help. She’s almost 50 and ready to fight her own baby sister.

I'm confused as to why y'all are pacifying Traci's tantrums. 1. She named herself the wannabe. 2. Her husband was still cheating on her during Marriage Bootcamp. He embarrassed tf outta her, but she's defensive of him yet will be ready fight and not talk to her sisters for months if they bother her in any way. She doesn't get a golden star for being tolerant of disrespect in her relationship for many years. That's not working through issues. That's being stupid. 3. She complained for an entire season for not being a background singer but refused to get in shape and work on her voice. Toni could've approached it better, but you don't get a position for being someone's sister. 4. Her attitude towards that record deal is very ungrateful. She said that Toni never got her a record deal, but she did. It wasn't her nor the sisters fault that she got pregnant, and wasn't able to sign. The situation may have been unfortunate, but they didn't owe it to her to give up their opportunity. 5. When her mother told her to stay out of it, she waited til the dinner to have a fit. If I remember correctly it was said that Traci has a relationship w/ Ms. Wanda, calls her mom, and was telling her Ms. E's business. 6. She had a tantrum at the studio session because the man told her, her voice type changed. Then, she refused to participate. 7. When she was being honored, she didn't communicate that. Toni added her on one song at her show because she said she didn't feel included. Yet, she gets drunk and sabotages the performance because she thought Toni was in dire need of her services. She didn't know the moves, the words, nor her key. 8. She did not tell the sisters that she wanted them to celebrate her birthday at someone else's birthday trip. Their birthdays are a month apart. They celebrated her later, on her birthday. Toni and Trina's sons have the same birthday but celebrate them separately. 9. She should have been honest and upfront that she didn't want to boycott. She blindsided them by letting them know at the last minute when she'd already gathered new cast mates on her own. 10. Her issues with Tamar are for HER to deal with. When any of them have arguments with Tamar, she sits quietly but wants everyone else to go to bat for her over HER issues. Instead of talking to Tamar, she talked to Shaun and Towanda. They told her to talk to Tamar. She said she didn't want to but it wasn't all the sisters fault because HE overstepped his boundaries. Nor did her issues have anything to do with that record deal which she always reverts back to instead of clearly expressing herself the way she does in confessionals.

Honestly in my humble opinion Tamar is jealous of Toni's success. Nitpicking and making slick comments is so unnecessary. I feel for everything that she has gone through but Tamar needs to take some responsibility for her actions. From the outside looking in Tamar has been the common dominator in the family and the most "problematic" for years. She's rude, obnoxious, and does not know what to say out of her mouth. She needs to be "quick to listen and slow to speak"! She may have talent but "talent" and who you are to the core of your insides is "TWO DIFFERENT THINGS". When Iylana Vanzant came on seasons ago it was very clear to me that Tamar had some serious issues. Tamar has some serious healing to do and she needs to do it without social media or fame. She needs to step away from it all! Praying for her🙏.

time for this show to pack up. it’s getting sad now. i wanna see the happy times again. i mean season one was still a whole lotta whole lotta but, season one things were more entertaining and funny. This... this is just upsetting to look at.

So I have been reading the comments and it still seem people haven’t clearly been watching the show. Number 1, TRACI ISN’T UPSET ABOUT HER SISTERS SIGNING A RECORD DEAL WITHOUT HER. The record deal is a small representation of the bigger issues that Traci is feeling. Traci doesn’t get or have the full 100% support of her sisters like how they rallied up for Tamar and Toni when they have a crisis. Out of all her sisters, Traci is the strongest one, which is why they ignored her feelings. She doesn’t communicate her feelings with her sisters and parents because she doesn’t feel SAFE. She feels like if she does say something they are going to “one up” her (mostly Tamar) and make it about them. It is very frustrating when you are trying to express yourself to people who you love dearly and they don’t make you feel safe, secure and wanted. They are abusive when it comes to empathizing with others feelings ; which is learned behavior from their mother and father. Traci is damaged goods who only wants unconditional support, respect and love from her sisters, just like how the others want. The only way they can really healed from hurt and pain is effectively communicate with each. Communication is speaking but also there is empathy, sympathy, and comprehend listening involved with communication, along with acceptance, accountability and responsibility. Once these ladies learn to do it from all sides they would be able to heal.
Say what u want about Tamar but these shows are just used to exploit these black women in a negative light. Tamar only can do what they allow her to do. She was picked to act like that for the show for more ratings. Ppl like watching drama and anybody’s expense. When she didn’t wanna be like that anymore they tried to make it seem like she was the problem. That’s why I stopped watching these shows. At the end of the day all families have some issues. And as someone else said in the comments of your family stresses u like traci feels they do... there is nothing wrong with loving them from a distance.
