I've got a cracked headlight that I've been wanting to replace. Only reason I have been holding off is fear of the bumper removal. This makes it look pretty easy though! Thanks!
I had to remove the front bumper on only the second day of ownership in order to install the front HFP body kit before taking my (then) brand new car to get ceramic coated. I feel you, Tim! I was nervous AF but in the end, it was easy. I hope that you got your HL replaced.
Yes, there is a mounting bolt on the outer (fender side) of each headlamp that must be removed in order to remove the entire headlamp assembly. This bolt can only be accessed by removing the front bumper. This has been Honda's design for over a decade now.
Thank you for making this awesome video! Excellent instructions with simple explanation on how to. Other video I've seen on RUclips here are not has clear. You took the times to removed a perfectly fine bumper just to show us DIY people how to successfully removed and installed front bumper cover. Many thanks! I recently ran into a snow back last two days ago and had a crack front bumper so was debating if I should buy the painted bumper and do it myself or go to a body shop and have them do it with a new bumper.
Thank you very much for this informative video, my question is that there is little gap between the fender and where the bumpers meet, is there a way make much tighter, yes it did come loose before, it got pulled out by a concrete parking block as I was backing out, I was able to reattach it but there is a noticeable gap. Thanks again and God bless
Appreciate this video showing in clear detail how to remove those clips! Only video that shows how not to mess up your bumper. If you just pull the bumper from the clips there will be a gap in between.
Hi, I realize this video has been online a while. I have a 2017 Honda Accord LX that I just bought that has front bumper parts missing and I need help with what to order to get this bumper right. Can you help me? Mike
Please, do you have a video or can make a video on how to replace the outside B-Pillar covers. There is currently no video out for it, and no instructions online on how to remove and replace. Please help or send me a PM. Thank you!
Do you have a video that shows how to re-attach it? My right side bumper got pulled out in the spot you used the screwdriver to pop it out 3 times. It looks like I could just push it back in place but that doesn't seem to be working.
Hi Sara, most likely when it got "pulled" out, the three tabs snapped (broke) and that's why they are not refastening. Honda's bumpers are notorious for having the bumper tabs break. That's why DIYHonda's method of using a flathead screwdriver to manually release the mounting tabs, instead of just yanking forward/outward, is the best and safest way to remove the bumper without breaking them. However, even if your tabs are broken, the two screws in the wheel well should still be holding your bumper in place...are they not? Try removing the two screws and pulling out on the side of the bumper (like he does in the video) and inspect the three tabs on the bumper itself - see if any of them are broken. If they are but the entire piece is still there (just split) you could try repairing them by maybe using a little super glue? If any piece(s) of the tab is missing, though, the only way to fix that would unfortunately be to order a new bumper (about $250 for OEM). G'luck and I hope this helps :-)

You uploaded this video in 2017 and in only 240p? We can barely even see the screws. Most phones can record in 4k slow motion. That 240p is simply ridiculous
Thanks for video bro did my bumper last night and put my new headlight in, just saved me $1200 thanks man. 👌 👌 👌 👌
This helped me tremendously, even though it's an old video

Timothy Kennedy do you need to take off the bumper to replace the headlight?

Does it go back on easy like it came off? I gotta tackle this shit myself this weekend gotta replace driver side headlight assembly damn LED went out
Did u do this cause ur drl went out? Cause I gotta do mine too its the 2nd time my led bar went out
Would you do how to replace a fender liner too?
Remove the wheel and tires, take out those plastic clip under the fender then replace a new liner...shouldn't be hard.
Do you know how to remove the lower grille without taking the full bumper out?
I doubt it's possible, same with the grille, some of the torx screws are difficult to access.
Please, do you have a video or can make a video on how to replace the outside B-Pillar covers. There is currently no video out for it, and no instructions online on how to remove and replace. Please help or send me a PM. Thank you!
Have you found where to order the part?
Is there a way to detach the grille from bumper
Do you have any advice on aligning passenger side bumper and headlight? Gap between hood and headlight on passenger side is greater than driver side
Its hard to say without actually seeing what you have going on. Do you have a picture?
Are all the clips you removed the same size??? From the top to the underside??? What are the plastic screw/clip sizes???

Is it the same for a 2017
What is the first plastic piece he removed first? What’s the name of it?
The cover up top? The sight shield?
do u know maurements for the bumper from side to side
Thank you!!!
What is the exact size of the 2 philips screws on each side of the front bumper?
If I drop my headlight down, is this the only way to get it out?
What are you trying to do?
Do you have a video showing how to install a new one?
I do not have a video installing the bumper yet, but I will be working on getting one out.
@@DIYHonda can you upload a video where you are putting a new bumper back on, please!
VERY NICE THANK YOU. REGARDS. CAN YOU UPLOAD HOW TO INSTALL NEW OEM FOG LIGHTS ON 2016 PLEASE.
