I think the dreds with afro pompom ends is a tribal woman in Malowi (?) I can't remember exactly, but I think she is of an African tribe where they style the hair and then put a reddish clay/mud on it. Sounds strange to us but looks beautiful.
If you google Himba tribe of Namibia hair, you can actually find photos of this exact hair style, and it’s quite lovely. They use otjize paste on their skin and hair because of the extreme lack of water. They bathe with it, and it gives their skin a lovely warmth.
The fruit is a " Kaffir Limette or Kaffernlimette"(german name) , i think. The leaves are from the same tree(bush). Didn't know the english name. Wikipedia says "citrus hystrix" It is a green fruit like a lime. The ood one could be orchids with aerial roots. But not shure about this. Like your Anubis.
Your colouring is stunning Claire.💖 Gorgeous book as always by Anastasia. 🙏 for another great review. OTT I’d love to have another several days colouralong like you did awhile ago. I followed at the time and coloured with you and after doing the 30 days with Johanna I remembered how much I loved yours and hey you did it first.😘🤗🌹
The cat is ocelot, that’s the only thing I’m sure about, because I’m also rubbish with botanical things :)) And I don’t know if you know, but Anastacia also uploaded the cover image as a freebie picture on her website, so you can download it too. Your colouring is just beautiful, I loved it. The colours are very authentic, and Anubis looks fine.
The woman with what you called dreads, with inca necklace is not at all an Inca. She is from the Himba tribe from the Namibia desert in Africa . The pompom is in fact their hair. The dread part is a red mud turned Clay with the sun.
This is really a unique and lovely book I am going to order. Thank you for the review.

That's so cool, thank you for telling me!
I think the round knobby fruit is an Osage Orange.
That’s what I was going to say…
Beautiful book.
the text seems to refer to the botanics on the page x
I believe it is pomegranate . 🙃
That is one gorgeous book !
Her books are gorgeous but its a shame Panpastel arent good on the paper.
I think the extra writing is something to do with the flowers on the pages 🤔
