Very disrespectful, but I do listen to it. I'm a beat person not really into lyrics. Respect people who don't like it or get it.

I think that the verse you quote says that we shouldn't love this world, meaning that we "want to stay here and like it here very much". So in other words you should always be ready to die because you should always think "nothing holds me back here, I have nothing here since I don't love the world / anything material."
You can still love music though, you imply that you can't love anything besides God, so you also can't have any passions, etc.
But once again, that's how I understand it, it doesn't have to be true.
Dear brother. I have listened to every album that you have put out. I have looked up to you because of your faith my brother to provide as example for me growing up with a troubled past. But I cant help but notice a change brother. It is not about the same mission as it was in the beginning. Back then you wanted to win some soul to Jesus. Now it is about blessings, yes give praises for your blessings but we are called to be set apart and holy. As believers we aren't providing an example of our faith to world. Our faith alone is a witness. Not talking about money, clothing, and women, its supposed to be about Jesus. And our relationship with him. None of us. Deny yourself again brother. And flee from all appearance of evil.
If i'm being honest I used to find Lecrae really Cheesy but over the years he has grown in his art and has become more skilful with it. Props to one of the forerunners in Christian Rap.

Our church is non traditional, we listen to so much Lecrae, KB, Andy Maneo, Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet and bands like this. My dad whose the lead pastor loves Christian rap and rock. He loves like the “hype” music. Which is good because if we didn’t listen to religious songs like these and just the slow bland boring songs, I’m not sure if I’d be happy going to my own dads church. We’re very blessed.

That's true; however, when looking at the label info for ATWT compared to this track, it says just Reach instead of Reach Records under exclusive license to Columbia Records. That's all I was saying.
