I love how the marauder calls him a fake but still calls him Slayer.
Maybe he means the "fake" sentinel
He is still known as the slayer.
Or he is just mocking his tittle.
He calls him a fake knight sentinel because he was an outlander tho.
There is only one Slayer. When the Marauder calls him "a usurper. A false idol", he refers to the Slayer's time in the Argenta Civil War as he helped lead the Night Sentinels against their Makyr-loyal brethren and the other resurected Marauders.
Slayer is his like mythological name but he would have called him a sentinel if he recognized him

That implies the marauder would hellify him but he just wants to kill the slayer
@@chainsawboy2388 Reason being is that Marauders are themselves beings that were hellified after being resurected. So yeah, they probably have to kill the Slayer to open his eyes.
I love the marauder model so much. It just exudes such a chaotic, yet determined energy. Marauder should’ve been a mini boss that retreats before death and comes back throughout the game stronger, with a final battle before fighting the icon of sin with a full fledged boss fight.
Well, actually not. If you know what the Marauder is in lore, you know there is quite more than a single one and they are much stronger than that but tthey also can't tickle doomguy. I'd like to think Marauders can beat Doom Hunters in 1v1 but still can't beat Doomguy. This and the other Marauder encounters should be harder but having less enemies
I just realized that when the Marauder says "My Eyes" his eyes actually glow, telling the player to pay attention to the colour of his eyes
Love how the Marauder straight-up walks outta the portal like Shao Kahn in MK9. He even looks like Shao Kahn as far as his armour design goes. This boss is just awesome.

Remember when people thought the maurader was bad?
A lot of the early reviews really shined a light on just how stagnant the industry had become when so many good game reviewers got it SO wrong about this game. It's like they were so used to the status quo of modern games that when they encountered something a little bit out of the box they just couldn't wrap their minds around it.
Game reviews by dedicated gaming websites are obsolete. You get reviews 10 times more reminiscent of games' quality from individual youtubers that you've followed for a while and that you can pinpoint both their biases and similarities with your own preferences in videogames.
A lot of game reviews are extremely biased and bad. They always get the wrong person to review said game. Their reviews mean nothing nowadays.

Maurader isn't immune to any of those.
If you fire the BFG over his head he will turn his shield and if you fire a second shot he can't block the second one.
For Unmaykr and Crucible you can stun him with grenades and finish him off with either one.

I was personally a little disappointed by the Marauder's backstory. When he was first revealed at QuakeCon, I was hoping that he would be a single, powerful adversary, the Slayer's equal in almost every way, hounding your steps throughout the game, gaining new abilities and becoming more powerful at the same time you do. I don't understand why anyone thinks they're overpowered. They're just annoying and predictable.
Not even annoying, just needs more attention than the other demons. People complaining that he's too hard obviously didn't read the tutorial that literally tells you in detail everything you need to know to beat him.

Yo Markiplier is a fucking demon at Doom Eternal. BFG shots are incapable of kill Marauders yet during his test run Mark literally did the impossible. Even Hugo Martin was shocked. He’s eerily good at Doom.

I remember being confused how the humans could essentially "Hold up" in a defensive position such as the upper floors of this facility, yet they can just send a Marauder (or anything else) through a portal up there whenever they want.
" yet they can just send a Marauder" ummm....no? Humans didnt send him at all . He is a corrupted Sentinel knight that got transformed in Hell . He teleported himself to try and stop the slayer
I think it was related to the Demonic Crucible they had. Since it powered everything. Including their shields. But since the Slayer took the Crucible the seal was broken. And the Marauder pulled up almost immediately after
