I like how Tony has to hold up his mic all the way through but literally speaks 5% the whole time
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
words cannot explain how much I love that man
@@sophieh.4097 😂😂😂
He’s too cute
i respect how humble & polite they are. i just wish the interviewer would actually ask questions instead of being too worried about asking "stupid" or "boring" questions about the song WHEN THAT'S LITERALLY THE POINT OF AN INTERVIEW OF A BAND THAT JUST RELEASED A SINGLE AFTER 6 YEARS.
man was prolly nervous 😭i would be too
I compeltely get where he was coming from though, I think he did an awesome job. A really great interview imo,, way less superficial as other interviews Ive seen of bands. I really liked the last part how he just let them speak what's been going on through the pandemic and do their thing. Good job Morgan!
Jaime is the front man who isn’t a front man. If that makes sense
yeah i kinda hate that this is where you have to go for interviews for these bands. Cause the host is annoying circling back to just gassing them every 10 minutes and gets nowhere for info or picking their brains. This was just a gassing session for an hour.
Morgan isn’t terrible but he just needs a 2nd co host to help drive the convo! I’m stoked y’all got the first Ptv interview in years
He needs a shower and clean clothes
He literally is terrible though. Trying waaaay too hard to be cool by saying “fuck” and “dude” in every sentence.
Literally unwatchable
@@aironnocturnal5365 like like like like
It's really hard to even listen to the end of the sentence :)
Wow
How about if I say how many drug bust on live PD recorded Greene county missouri
this podcast/interview has a lot of potential, I just feel Morgan should be more confident in what he's asking and focus less on trying to make this interview different/not boring/"cool". The band hasn't interviewed in years its okay to ask basic questions like "how was the song writing process" especially since they also haven't put out music in years and the music is so different and new from ptv's previous work.
good point but theres something very raw and authentic about his interview style here even if its not totally thought out or planned. You can tell he really just wants whats best for these guys you cant say that for a lot of interviewers.
It was unique but I agree. He talked too much about himself and had some unnecessary comments
He sounds high and boring then cracked and talks about himself way too much
i think that's what also makes this interview interesting, it's like a bunch of friends talking on a random day.
I was excited to hear about Pierce the Veil.... not so much hear to about how to make a unique podcast different from the rest and about the podcaster himself..... 10-15mins of this was about him in Mexico, him traveling, how he thinks the world has changed. This isn't wrong for a podcast if it tied back into the band, the bands music, touring, their lives, and upcoming things.
I'm not sure that they understood that the music they've made never gets old. They felt like they left for years and feared people would forget about them. But I hear them almost every day. They put out music that lasts a lifetime.
the amount of people I have seen who are just like me; fans since like 2011-2014 but are STILL HERE
Word
Holy crap their first interview in 5 years. That’s crazy. Will forever love this band!
and it was with this kid lol
I'll be 70 & still bumping PTV... I remember when I was 15 and my friend played them for me and it was all over after that..& It was awesome to be able to grow and learn in life and having the music you listen to do the same. There isn't a single song you guys have created that isn't excellent & your music has gotten even more freaking powerful , I can't wait to hear the rest.
@@loveyourself2529 I think you misunderstood... I'm not 70, I'm 30....but WHEN I am 70, I will still be bumping PTV.
same. imma be a grandma still listening to ptv
@@rareperspectiv oh haha I thought you were saying you are 70 and still listening to them, and I was like, 'wait when you were 15? where is the math' lol
@@dirtysox1239 that would certainly be somethin wouldn't it? 😂 Yeah, no....but in about 40 years or so, I promise I'll still be bumbing PTV 😁😂
@@rareperspectiv haha good to know
Dude killed the vibe as soon as he compared ptv to MGK, no need for that. PTV deserved better than this
Yeah, I don’t really trust his music taste after that comment but he seems like a good dude that loves music
Exactly the comment I was looking for. IKYFL.
I mean emo nite wants to fit in with every generation instead of appreciating the classics
Literally
I agree and ptv came first so if anything mgk is copying them ptv is there own group and they are amazing mgk is a Walmart version or an attempt at them
I can’t believe that they have no idea how much we love them. I think the fact that they are so humble adds a great quality to the way they treat their fans and the way they create their songs. For them its REALY about making something meaningful and beautiful, not just to make a quick dime.
well said. it’s why i love them so much.
I didn’t even realize how much i missed ptv until this interview. I spent so many years gobbling down every single wisp of an interview of them all through high school and this is so nostalgic of that feeling.
i’ve always loved jaime’s personality. he’s always been my favorite member ever since i first came upon pierce the veil in 2012. he always makes me smile and laugh. i love him lol. and Im so stoked to see him and the rest of PTV live again.
same!!!
I also came into ptv in 2012! Jaime is amazing, especially his solo songs
Seriously lmao, I remember watching those "funny [insert emo band] moments" and his clips were always my favorite
The fact mentioning mgk in this interview just kills the vibe. Ptv and that douche shouldn’t be in the same building. Kinda wish this casual convo was a lil bit more structured.
I didn’t like Pass The Nirvana on first listen but it def grew on me and I love it now
same
Me too
I think that’s everyone’s reaction lol
I hate that I don’t love It’s so different and I just can’t get into it but I’ve loved ptv for yearssss it broke my heart not liking it:(
@@dulcecastro6848 yeah:(( i feel like the lyrics are so repetitive and i was expecting so much more
It’s insane how long they’ve been gone but it feels like they never even left haha. I can’t wait to see them live this month
Girlll I'm seeing them next month in Phoenix I'm so excited it'll be my very first time seeing them so I'm like fangirling so bad even now like it just feels like a dream.
You can blame their hiatus on the fact that their drummer liked to fuck 14 year old children and they didn't even kick him out, just said he was focusing on his personal life.
speak for yourself, my best friend pointed out to me the other day that in the time period since they last released new music, we graduated highschool. went to college and got degrees, got enganged and married, and then had a baby and started our careers. personally it feels like its been a lifetime lol
@@SimplyNotReally yeah you definitely went through more life changes, I’ve just graduated and gotten my college degree lol
it’s so crazy that their last album was my senior year, now I’m 24. been waiting so long for this album!!
No amount of time could make me give up on this band. They’ve done more for me than they will ever know and that deserves loyalty. Been here since A Flair For the Dramatic when I was a young emo and I can’t imagine a time in my life where I didn’t listen to them
you can tell they really matured in the last few years as people and musicians. They sound so so so focused and grounded I'm excited to see/ hear what they put out!!
i started listening to pierce the veil when i was like 13 and as a kid my parents didn’t let me go to concerts like them and then of course the 5 years they went without touring so i never got to see them. i’m 20 now and i just saw them last night for the first time and it was so unbelievable for me to actually see them live as real people and at the venue we were at there was an upstairs area bc the floor was full and of course i would’ve preferred to be on the floor but throughout their performance Jaime kept looking up at the balconies and making sure that everyone was having fun and it was so incredible to just be there and see them in real life after listening to them and watching their music videos and interviews for 7 years. they have been and forever will be my favorite band of all time
Tony's little "hiiii" when Jaime says "hey lil Tony" 🤣🥰
😭😭😭💀🤗
They’ve been so humble this whole time, like of COURSE you’re gonna have people waiting for your return and selling out your shows! They are great dudes who make great freaking music, I hope we continue to see them thriving and doing what they love!
i’m 15 and i’m seeing pierce the veil for the first time in 5 days. i’m so fucking excited. you guys have meant so much to me, for YEARS, and i cannot wait to see you. thank you so so much
i hope you have a great time!!!!!!!
You're gonna love it! I saw them for the first time when I was 13 (19 now) and I've seen them 4 times now, going on 5 in October 💜 have a blast at the show! Hopefully you'll come to many more
Jealous, I've waited over 10 years to see them
awww i still remember first time seeing them live it was 10 years ago that's mad hahah hope you had a lot of fun!
so excited for you bb!! i hope you had a great time :)
Tbh I was worried about how they would sound like without Mike on the drums and I knew that the band would struggle with his departure but the way Vic addressed it in this interview gave me chills. So excited for this new chapter, their new music and I really can’t wait to watch them perform live once again, let’s fucking gooooooo!!
Yea and I know it had to very hard for Vic since he started with band with Mike too. But he understood why Mike didn’t want jump back in the band cause he knew about the back lash and hate the whole band would get as a whole.
Wait when did he address it?! I waited the whole interview for some acknowledgment of that and must have missed it 😢
I love Mike❤ miss that guy. He brought a lot to their albums. but I know they’re doing something great still
the part about them messing around with the violin bow on the guitar to create the creepy sounds in Pass the Nirvana makes me so excited for this album. Like I can tell it's going to be so different and they had fun making it.
I missed the whole band so much but Jaime and his personality popped off in this one so much. Still hoping he does more independent work bc his personal singles were impressive af, all love for the bass player
My inner teenager is so happy right now! Can’t wait to see ptv in this new era, especially as an adult. It’s cool to see a band grow with their audience🤍
It’s a trip my sister dated Mike. Dude would come to my football games and always cheered me on. Was a good guy back in the day. Gave me tickets to warp tour many times. Crazy where people go to
Whattt? Any other stories?
He's still a good person, he just made dumb mistakes. When we met we bonded over Harry Potter 😅😂 and he was so shocked when I told him I was a Slytherin he's like "No, you are such a Hufflepuff." 🤣🤣
I’ve been a fan of Pierce the Veil for 10 years and I’ve never seen them perform live and I will be next month and I could throw up from excitement just thinking about it! 🤣🖤🖤
INTERVIEWER WAS LIKE GIVING ME AN AWKWARD GROUPIE VIBE LMAO 😅 o well, live and let live. He will grow from this
My name is Morgan too and I felt my jump hearing Vic telling me that I could text him anytime
Lmao Tony looks like he’s watching an intense game of ping pong, cmon Tony boy! 😂🖤
😭😭😭😭
i found them when i was 12, i’ve seen them live over 5 times and STILL at 20 years old, i have such a deep love for them and their music. they’ve changed so many lives, touched so many people in a way that they might not even understand. i truly hope they all have the best life they possibly could.
it’s pretty sad everything that happened with mike :/ i’m glad they didn’t let his disgusting actions ruin the band completely but man, the sound makes a difference. rip to mike, he ain’t dead but he’s dead to everyone who used to like him.
What did Mike do?
@@HesTNTonPMS fondling teens, typical band dude stuff unfortunately
Cant wait for Morgan to get better ❤️ little by little you’ll get there! Proud of you for bagging PTV for first show
Dude just found out about cuss words. Also the first 15 minutes is him saying the song is fucking great like over and over and over and over
I have butterflies watching this!! Can't believe the impact this band has had and the fact that they remain so humble throughout everything. Best band of all time!! (Selfish Machines is the best album)
They deserve their song being number one! I love them been here since day one met them and they have beautiful souls. If anyone has met them they know. Also Tony P gives the best bear hugs ever!!! 🥰❤️🔥
Great idea of having a podcast and having PTV as the first guest but horrible way to conduct an interview, Morgan was all over the place and he did not know how to lead the conversation properly
i saw pierce the veil for the first time when i was 11 years old. second time i was 12. i’m so thankful to have seen them during warped tour and during their misadventures tour :)) it’s so crazy to see them change and grow!
I’m only watching this because pierce the veil is my favorite band but I really do not care for this Morgan guy. He seems out of it like he’s high off his ass. he could just be nervous but damn trying to making this a chill interview made it worse idk just don’t care for this dude
saw them this past friday night at stone pony in asbury park nj which was their first show of their tour and it was surreal! these guys will forever be dope af!🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Watching this is just making me more and more excited to see them later this month
I am SO excited for them to be back. It's been a while since we heard them, they grew up, it's only natural their music changes. I love the sound personally though, and I can't wait to see what's next.
I'm kind of scared because I love their complex sound. I love when there's so much going on 😢 but they're just as good as making simpler music
Yesss this is exactly how I feel! they’re old stuff has sooo many layers and I’m hoping they continue w that on the new album 🥹
Me too. I still love what they’ve made but it’s so cool when there’s so many layers on their stuff, but it’s awesome anyway
I’m 23 yrs old and I still listen to PTV I remember when I found out about it when I was 16 yrs old
I was 27 when I first heard them, and am now 37. I love seeing how many people started listening to them when they were so young. Regardless of our age, their music never gets old!
Love them so much! Cant wait for the album!!!
I’ve seen many bands live, nothing has touched pierce the veil. These guys are magicians. Conduits.
Gotta say, coheed and cambria, they are pretty spot on live. Check those videos out, powerful concerts.
@@tiffanys9878 haven’t seen them, definitely on my list now! Thanks
This makes me even more excited for their concert in November Im going to!!!
@@apiranha1 the best cd is the first one from 2003. Not one bad song. Crazy buildups
@@apiranha1 the crowing is a good one
“Are you guys proud of this album?” What a stupid fucking question hahaa
Yeah only reason i watched this druggie talk was cause of ptv
For real though my thoughts exactly 😂
I’m not responding to a lot of these comments bc they’re straight dumb but lemme propose this to u. Do u know how many artists I’ve interviewed over the last 8 years that said they were stoked on their album then come to find out they weren’t proud if it when they made it or after it came out? This is an actual real question that touches an artist, and I care about them. I get you might not know or understand that, but I’m proud of this song and them, and I wanted to see if they’re proud of the album in real time. as many times artists come back and say we had to say that for interview, I think it’s a fair question but u can feel however u want obvs and appreciate the feedback
@@aolfreetrial lmao idk what bands you're interviewing, but damn thats tuff.
@@aolfreetrial I apologize for being rude about it, but it felt like that question just flew out of your mouth without much thought behind it. It seems obvious that they’re gonna respond with “Yes” no matter how they truly feel.
rewatching this because I miss them (saw them on the one more time tour ) :(
That’s not there tour it’s blink 182
37:20 obviously the virality plays a huge part but I really think it’s so interesting to see how many younger ppl are getting into ptv. I guess I skew younger bc I was 13 around their peak but still even teens know them. It’s something the industry should really pay attention too bc music scenes need young ppl to really keep them going, rock suffers from the stuck in the past mindset that rejects changes, which turns off young ppl. Times are always changing and nobody wants to be stuck in a crowd of dudes who ironically can’t let go of high school, it needs fresh faces in the crowds. Teen culture made the warp tour scene, it’s wild how the same scene reject that today with “back in my day” mindsets.
Bro I thought this was a ptv interview not a Morgan diary
I think I learned more about Morgan than the band itself. Tf
get used to it :)
I've grown out of every artist and band I liked in middle school *except* for ptv (11 years strong). their music is just timeless 🥺💚
Big fan and I’m just so happy to see these guys thrive definitely buying the album
Only discovered the music and started listening recently but I absolutely love you guys
The new song literally gives me chills everytime I listen to it. It's been so long & awaited for the new album! I must say their past albums still kick a** everytime! Unfortunately I haven't been able to secure tickets for their show in LA on October 😭 I'll keep trying 🙏🏽❤️ #PTV is fire! 🔥❤️
I loved this show so much! I feel like we got to see the band in a setting they were more comfortable in & I actually preferred this to a standard one dimensional interview. I was entertained the whole time. I will be tuning in literally every week
Potentially the worst interview I’ve ever watched in full. Unless you want to listen to someone stammer in vocal fry for an hour, then this is your jam.
spot on
Damn 😂
I loved the few minutes he gave the floor to them but the rest of the interview was hard to listen to.
morgan had a hard time switching topics/asking questions so theres only really 10 minutes of good interesting stuff in the whole 59 minutes
I love Pierce the Veil more than any other artist. I've seen them live 4 times and I have all their albums 💜. These guys basically helped raise me with their music, concerts, and interviews. So excited for them and whats to come!
I met ptv back in 2012 it was a life changing experience now 12 years later I have my sons into their music and can’t wait to take them to see them one day and hopefully get to meet them
I CANT WAIT FOR THE MUSIC VIDEO LETS GOOOOO
When Tony says "Do people remember" OMG if only they knew!!!
Morgan is really irritating to listen to its like he cant complete a thought
yall heard of adhd?
Dude kind of annoyed me tbh, but happy to see PtV making music again and I can't wait to hear the rest of the album!
I LOVE Morgan's vision for this podcast!! Wanting to make sure the artists say everything they want to say and have a fun enticing interview feels fresh and REAL. Morgans right, while its funny to ask little small talk throw away questions, we want to know about the creation of the music and the feel of doing that for the band! I found it so cool to hear about the recording process and the fact they all lived in a house together to record and just constantly live in music! Looking forward to more of these!!
“having two jaime’s on anything is probably better than one”
What a great band to kick off your first show with!
I wish they were interviewed by someone else lol he seems like a cool guy but he made it less appealing. I’m forcing myself to finish because I love PTV
couldnt have said it better
same
I'll be 85 and still listen to PTV
I have absolutely missed you guys so much. Your music still always gets me pumped after listening to it. I'm so glad your still together making music. Mad awesome dudes
i love tony just sitting there 😭🫶🏻
“Are… are you guys proud of this album?”
Nah they’re gonna say hell no we hate it but Fearless is forcing us to release it lol
I see them next Saturday can’t wait!! Love these guys 😭🖤
I found out about PTV when I was 13 in 2013. Their music has been a constant in my life for the past like 10 years, even through the big time period between albums. I'll listen till the very end 💜
Gonna go see ptv live in October for my very first time and I'm just so excited
Ugh these guys are timeless ❤️🔥
I am here right now and so happy thank you !!!
Saw them live in 2013 with all time low & mayday parade.. THE RAWRING 20s ARE HERE XD 🖤
im here for the last 5 min , thought this would be more in depth but love u ptv
At first I thought I was gonna hate this interview but it has turned out to be literally the best interview. Great vibes ugh
Legends do legendary things. Thanks for the interview hopefully you guys come to Dallas-Fort Worth soon!
I was at blue ridge rock fest last year (2022) and oh my god you can feel how much we missed them the crowd was absolutely WILD
I loved the song!! My friend surprised me with a ticket to see them in Chicago😭 I am so stoked to see them live for the very first time and I am extremely excited for their new album🥰
Jamie I was at one of your last shows, vic signed my drum head with sum 41, and it was your birthday Jamie, you gave my friend Phil a free ticket 🎟 to the show, and when you came in the mosh pit you were standing in front of me, we jumped together and you wacked my best friend noah with your bass guitar in the head 😆 😆 😆 great times man. I'll never forget that show in the new Hampshire ballroom. I hope you read this one day. ❤️ and I hope your bday was great lol 😆 and yes Noah is fine lol he's proud of it actually 😄
Awesome 👌🏽 👏🏼 😅😂🤣😭💀
Omg I've missed them so much!! I can't wait to see them on tour soon
I bought collide with the sky in 2014 I've never seen them live yet .....I'm taking my 6 yr old son when I do....
Emo Nite podcast!? LET'S GO!!
watching this and i still can’t believe vic is a dad now 😿❤️
Really great to see PTV out and about again. Kinda wish he had asked them some better questions especially about their process. Couldn’t help but feel like the interviewer didn’t do these guys justice, felt kinda awkward. I appreciate that he complimented them so much but honesty it was a bit over the top kinda uncomfortable to watch. Also how is it that Vic looks like he hasn’t aged a day?
Love the enthusiasm during this interview. I also love it being personable. Always remember there’s no such thing as a bad question and even if it seems monotonous for you, the main focus is what does the audience want to hear? Just little fine tuning here and there.
Pierce the veil has always been one of the best bands
man i cant wait to see these guys live, i missed misadventures by a few months. theyve been my favourite band ever since i discovered em
Wow dude. I completely missed all this. I discovered jaws of life today not knowing they released something new. This is awesome. I just started watching this interview. Maybe they'll address Mike not being there later in the podcast. I can't lie, it sucks not seeing Mike sitting with them. Whatever, glad they're back anyway
I can’t express how happy that single made me, ON REPEAT
Feels like 13 year old me all over again watching their interviews
You legit have the best job ever. 🙌 emo night and interviews with awesome people. 👌
I GOT TO SEE THEM PLAY MY NEW FAVE SONG LAST WEEK IN OKC🥰
luv ptv for life thank u guys for being a huge influence on my life more than i even noticed rly, i'm twenty now and stared listening in my emo phase ten years ago. and idk i always stuck with it. really is not a phase mom. as i grew up and out of emo times you always stuck with me; the creativity n lyricism in yr songs was something i could understand and feel even more when i grew up. so idk i jus think if you ever feel underappreciated so many of us are still out here appreciating all you've done for basically a decade . i love u
If Vic told me I could text him whenever I’d probably actually die
as a big believer in your guys musical abilities, i can definitely say u guys are always going to be able to perform and have a big audience, never doubt that we rather see you guys perform than other stuff out and with other bands i enjoy like memphis may fire and stuff like that warp tour and monster energy line ups were insane. king for a day is still my favorite song the collab was perfect and its so high energy and makes u wanna get hype , all love in tampa area florida
the amount of fucking times this man says “fucking” lmao good god
This slapped. I'm so happy they went this direction. My wife loved it too. Ir going the right way . Pumped for more new stuff
i love these great questions great delivery but all together you got something here my friend
