I upgraded to Psvane 274b rectifier tube and Apos Ray 12au7 tubes. It's a wonderful sound. Full and luscious, while maintaining all the details. It's quite incredible after the rectifier upgrade. You can't use the cage anymore, but that's ok. The 274b is a big rectifier.

According to the carrier info I'll get mine tomorrow and I can't wait! I own both the original TA-20 which I loved all these years and the TA-26 that I also like. But imo hybrid head amps are better than OTL head amps si I'm hoping this beautiful new addition will combine the strength of both technologies. I have my PSVANE 12AU7 paired valves ready!

So, is there a combo tube dac/amp that can power both a set of headphones AND a pair of speakers? Even if it's just 20-30W/pc for the latter.
Still learning about all this, and so far they seem like two different units in a typical system.

I use tube socket savers to keep tubes cool. Good for vibrations too.
I can see this doing well with the TA22.

Or should I go all out for the Aqua La Scalla mkll❓this way i feed the Linn Klimax pre amp with some tubes before the Yamaha M2 amp🤔❓

@@briancampbell7712 Doesn't matter what DAC you use all you get is different sound signature and I would not because tuning stereo system with changing DAC is not the best way.
Your limitation is Yamaha M2 amp, power is good but it has cheap quality V-FETs in there so it'll never sound liquid and holographic, thats the model they stop using high quality V-FET in their amps, it just a PA amp in Japan.
Using modern powerful Class D amp pair with Balanced R2R Pre or Balanced Tube Pre will brings better results, just my honest assessment.
