this manga is so beautiful. it's the first manga that I've ever read that really makes me FEEL like the author and artist love their story and characters (and not just because the artist outright says "I love all my babies" during a fourth wall break gag). it's also the first harem manga I've read to acknowledge the harem as a "family" instead of a relationship, even though the characters would still call it that. it really feels like everyone really really really loves each other, and the artist and author are amazing at showing it. And to add to that point, it's not just the mc who receives love either. The girls all learn to love each other and even grow interesting relationships with one another throughout the story. For a story that knowingly defies all logic and even though it has so many gags for a romcom manga, it is somehow a really wholesome and refreshing take on harem manga, where everyone is lovable. Even the MC is, for once. Anyone who agrees with me has read that entire panel, and loved it. Edit: likely, the anime won't go past 12 episodes. even if it goes to 24 episodes, there still won't be 100 girlfriends because in the manga he's only up to around 20-30 ish.

They're not just that insane, they frequently redo gags like this to show off more girlfriends. Like the babies. In fact, even a year later when he's just reached 30 girlfriends (at least for translated chapters, I guess), I'm almost surprised they haven't redone this once, but maybe they are just waiting for the full 100 to do it again.
At this point in the story he only had about 7 to 9 girlfriends if I remember correctly, he hasn't yet gotten even half of his girlfriend's yet 💀. So he was actually naming a lot of things that he found cute and loved about each of them to show how much he pays attention to him. One other funny thing is that he has a mother and daughter pair in his harem as well 😭.
This is like one episode's worth of dialogue. So I'm quite certain that if the anime ever gets to this part, they're gonna be cutting a heck load of stuff. And that will be followed by the inevitable cries of manga readers regarding how much has been cut. 😁
I will say that the bibury studio put a lot of effort when animating quintessential quintuplets. They also had that final movie for the series, although I don’t necessarily know how much they made from it but people enjoyed the movie. Still it’s just seems overwhelming to produce 100 girlfriends.

Ok, but here's the thing, Gotoubun is really really really damn popular. Chibi said that the studio hasn't made any hits so far, but no, not really. Gotoubun had a studio change from S1 to S2. So Bibury did the adaptation of S2 and the finale movie. (And the quality got way better!) Like, it was such a big show that when it was revealed who among the girls "won" at the end, it got into trending on Twitter back then!
See I’ve always just imagined this as a still frame with lip flaps of the voice actor just rapping this super fast with no breaks. Nothing else needs to be done technically, you just need a Va who can spit that in less then half the episode
I still remember reading the right portion of the dialogue, then just giving up on the left portion. It would be absolute gold if the anime had to actually make a "ONE ETERNITY LATER" (Timeskip) for that scene.

This is a bit that has been done a bunch of times. I think they're gonna make the VA work and read the whole thing. The animators are gonna speed up his voice, speed up the lip flaps and play it off as a joke. This is a gag manga with sprinkles of wholesome moments
My take and how they will do this specific manga panel is that will have the voice actor talking normally but then they’ll edit it and post to the point where it’s so fast it’s unrecognizable, but then slow it back down towards the end of his speech to get the important parts at the end. And that way they could just animate him talking really fast
If this Moment gets adapted to the Anime, give both JP/EG VA a Race because this is the Stuff of Legends, honestly I lost count on the Quote “And I Love…..” but this is a Very important Event.
Bibury. The same people who made Prima Doll. I know Qiuntessential Quintuplets is going to be the more favorite out of their catalogue for most people, but Prima Doll is one I personally saw as their best work so far. My favorite summer anime of last year, and I didn't find out about it til Fall when I watched it. Unfortunate it fell off the radar of the publics eye. But it really is worth giving it a go, at the very least if not the Anime at least the music.
as some people may have already said, we do not in fact have 100 girlfriends in the manga so far. as of the last chapter (129) there are 23 girlfriends. at the time of that iconic scene there were only 9 girlfriends (and he managed to fill those pages with info about them). so the anime won't unnecessarily have those many VAs

I have seen some works from bribury mainly grisaia and all I can say is we don't really need to mind when it comes to animation since they always done an amazing job in that department ..
They probably are just going to cut it if we are being honest with ourselves here, that's a wall of text that if anything the only parts that will be animated are the really important parts
I feel like if that panel were to get adapted into animation…it would be similar to a certain scene in “Komi Can’t Communicate”. Basically a character from it was asking for a latte…and the description of said latte got so long that it got speed up as it went on! Probably for both saving on time & comedic affect. Like Rentaro would start the paragraph like normal…but as it goes on his dialogue starts to speed up & the music gets all dramatically intense, making the narrator go “USE LESS WORDS RENTARO, WE ONLY HAVE 20 MINUTES IN THIS EPISODE EVEN WITHOUT THE OP & ED!!!”. This manga/anime is pretty comedic so it would fit the tone it usually has. The first episode literally has a joke where a character goes “STOP REPEATING EVERYTHING I SAY! We only have around 20 minutes in this episode! Do you want us to resort to cutting scenes from the manga?!”. Along with one of the last few episodes of season one having a scene that goes “Due to the length of this scene & limited remaining time in this episode we had to condense it…in a comedic fashion…”. Basically this series ain’t afraid to break the forth wall. Also wow, some of your guesses on this got rather off here. This chapter ain’t in this season, probably in the next one. The 100 girlfriends don’t get introduced all at once, they get introduced over time. Like at this point in time there’s currently 29 girlfriends introduced in the manga. So I don’t think hiring 100 voice actors is gonna be a problem for now. Also it looks like you didn’t get the memo that this series is pretty comedic when you made this. You probably should have done some research on this topic.

this page happens at gf 9 (Sutou Iku) and judging by the end of the first season, season 2 will adapt gf 7-11. so that means that this amazing scene will happen whenever season 2 comes out.
Wow. That is a scary possibility. I mean, it is true that manga authors should not have to stress over how animation studios tackle his or her work. Circumstantially, it can be a tricky problem to figure out. But this looks very, very unfortunate. It must be nerve wracking to be in those shoes. Interesting discussion, for sure.
Well the manga has a lot of meta jokes so the animators and VAs could just make a meta joke about it by just slapping this panel on the screen raw (like straight from the manga without even coloring it or voicing it) and then having the MC, Rentarou explain to us the viewers that the animators and VAs didn't want to do this panel so if we want to read it just pause the episode as they show the panel for like 5 seconds with some elevator music or something idk. Some may think it's lazy but at least it's not totally out of place with the series
I just started reading the manga last night, right after I finished binging through the twelve anime episodes that have been made thus far. I'm only on manga chapter 10 right now, which hasn't even caught up to what was adapted in season one. What I do know is that, by the end of season one, the audience has been introduced to six of the 100 soul mates, and the last sequence of the season finale shows at least four other girls that have such unique character designs that I'm inclined to believe they are soul mates that just haven't been introduced yet. I'm not sure what chapter the panel with the wall of text comes from, but I know the series is still ongoing with the most recent chapter having dropped approximately four days ago (I think it was like chapter 186 or so), and as I'm not yet caught up, I can't say how many soul mates have been introduced. What I do know is that a short video came up in my recommendations yesterday covering soul mates 11-20, so there are at least 20 at this point, though I suspect NOT yet all 100. Oh, and regarding the other series listed for the studio, the only one I really recognized was The Quintessential Quintuplets, which I watched about a month ago and found very enjoyable (though I have to say that in some ways it felt a bit too similar to Love Hina). It was very well handled, however, and had beautiful animation; especially in the case of the movie that concluded the series. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys harem rom-com anime!
The 8th girlfriend was actually foreshadowed in the anime I won't spoil in case you're not in that part yet. The wall of text is ch 37 and will most likely be in the 2nd season from how the pacing is going and judging from how well bibury animated the first season they'll def be able to pull it off. Also currently there are 29 girlfriends with hints that the 30th is next ch.

This manga is hilarious and surprisingly wholesome. Very 4th wall breaking and entertaining. It’s aware that is totally crazy.
Bibury. The same people who made Prima Doll. I know Qiuntessential Quintuplets is going to be the more favorite out of their catalogue for most people, but Prima Doll is one I personally saw as their best work so far. My favorite summer anime of last year, and I didn't find out about it til Fall when I watched it. Unfortunate it fell off the radar of the publics eye. But it really is worth giving it a go, at the very least if not the Anime at least the music.

as some people may have already said, we do not in fact have 100 girlfriends in the manga so far. as of the last chapter (129) there are 23 girlfriends. at the time of that iconic scene there were only 9 girlfriends (and he managed to fill those pages with info about them). so the anime won't unnecessarily have those many VAs
If they were able to make a anime adaptation I hope someone would record the VA reading all of this
Slight correction, He is not talking about 100 different girlfriends, He's just rapid firing multiple compliments to about 9 girlfriends (at the point of the story the page is in), Also a bit of a spoiler but the manga is only up to 23 girlfriends so far. @7:25
Not only that but 100 girlfriends means 100 VAs.... unless you can cut costs to have some of them voice more than 1 girl
A single VA can easily do 2 or 3 characters
I have seen some works from bribury mainly grisaia and all I can say is we don't really need to mind when it comes to animation since they always done an amazing job in that department ..

I feel like if that panel were to get adapted into animation…it would be similar to a certain scene in “Komi Can’t Communicate”. Basically a character from it was asking for a latte…and the description of said latte got so long that it got speed up as it went on! Probably for both saving on time & comedic affect.
Like Rentaro would start the paragraph like normal…but as it goes on his dialogue starts to speed up & the music gets all dramatically intense, making the narrator go “USE LESS WORDS RENTARO, WE ONLY HAVE 20 MINUTES IN THIS EPISODE EVEN WITHOUT THE OP & ED!!!”. This manga/anime is pretty comedic so it would fit the tone it usually has. The first episode literally has a joke where a character goes “STOP REPEATING EVERYTHING I SAY! We only have around 20 minutes in this episode! Do you want us to resort to cutting scenes from the manga?!”. Along with one of the last few episodes of season one having a scene that goes “Due to the length of this scene & limited remaining time in this episode we had to condense it…in a comedic fashion…”. Basically this series ain’t afraid to break the forth wall.
Also wow, some of your guesses on this got rather off here. This chapter ain’t in this season, probably in the next one. The 100 girlfriends don’t get introduced all at once, they get introduced over time. Like at this point in time there’s currently 29 girlfriends introduced in the manga. So I don’t think hiring 100 voice actors is gonna be a problem for now. Also it looks like you didn’t get the memo that this series is pretty comedic when you made this. You probably should have done some research on this topic.

Quintessential quintuplets is a rare type of harem anime, as the mangaka had an actual conclusion in mind when they started for who MC ends up with.
It brings me indescribable joy to see Chibi talking about 100 kanojo. Been one of my favorite manga for over 3 years, so seeing it get an anime adaption is just so inspirational man🥹

Wow. That is a scary possibility. I mean, it is true that manga authors should not have to stress over how animation studios tackle his or her work. Circumstantially, it can be a tricky problem to figure out. But this looks very, very unfortunate. It must be nerve wracking to be in those shoes. Interesting discussion, for sure.

Well the manga has a lot of meta jokes so the animators and VAs could just make a meta joke about it by just slapping this panel on the screen raw (like straight from the manga without even coloring it or voicing it) and then having the MC, Rentarou explain to us the viewers that the animators and VAs didn't want to do this panel so if we want to read it just pause the episode as they show the panel for like 5 seconds with some elevator music or something idk. Some may think it's lazy but at least it's not totally out of place with the series

I just started reading the manga last night, right after I finished binging through the twelve anime episodes that have been made thus far. I'm only on manga chapter 10 right now, which hasn't even caught up to what was adapted in season one. What I do know is that, by the end of season one, the audience has been introduced to six of the 100 soul mates, and the last sequence of the season finale shows at least four other girls that have such unique character designs that I'm inclined to believe they are soul mates that just haven't been introduced yet. I'm not sure what chapter the panel with the wall of text comes from, but I know the series is still ongoing with the most recent chapter having dropped approximately four days ago (I think it was like chapter 186 or so), and as I'm not yet caught up, I can't say how many soul mates have been introduced. What I do know is that a short video came up in my recommendations yesterday covering soul mates 11-20, so there are at least 20 at this point, though I suspect NOT yet all 100.
Oh, and regarding the other series listed for the studio, the only one I really recognized was The Quintessential Quintuplets, which I watched about a month ago and found very enjoyable (though I have to say that in some ways it felt a bit too similar to Love Hina). It was very well handled, however, and had beautiful animation; especially in the case of the movie that concluded the series. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys harem rom-com anime!
The 8th girlfriend was actually foreshadowed in the anime I won't spoil in case you're not in that part yet. The wall of text is ch 37 and will most likely be in the 2nd season from how the pacing is going and judging from how well bibury animated the first season they'll def be able to pull it off. Also currently there are 29 girlfriends with hints that the 30th is next ch.

I would have to rewind every time he says something while the subtitles would go fast forward, I mean it's kinda hilarious to see THIS gonna get adapted, literally would be a 5 or 10 minute scene of actual talking, phew I would feel bad for the actor who'll do this.
They will either shorten it, or will just layer the audio over itself. It's obviously not going to just play it all out.

I read this manga and in this pannel he talks about at max 10 characters I think. Even now there is 18 characters introduced not 100 or nearly that number.
