@@rossrobertson674 Lol, that is what rap is based off of. Rap is primarily based on sampling without that it probably would of never been conceived. The reason was, was either lack of people who knew how to play an actual instrument lack of funds to orchestrate a beat, faster production not only that rap was heavily inspired especially through vocals which could not be copied. So take a powerful vocal, with a beat. Lower their drums add your own drums wit banging base or kicks with a raspy snare get authorization and make a hit. Thats the ground basics of hip hop.

Pacs music is hard for a lot of youth today to understand, growing up and living in the 90s was a lot different than now, but I am watching a lot of things starting to reset to that time frame with all that is going on right now with in our country I still don't think we will reset that far back I hope not. it was a hard time coming up and even in the dark times Pac had a way putting it into a song and make you bounce to it, and in that aspect is why he remains one of the greats even after death.

Well, Im 39, and I am a part of the generation that cried when he died. One thing every generation under me will never realize is the impact Tupac had on us all and I firmly believe just like MLK and Malcom X ...Tupac was taken out in a conspiracy between Our Intel agencies, the hip hop cops, Suge Night and P Diddy. The reason is this song you just played. Pac was not just a rapper. He really talked to your soul and made you think that "Yeah, we do need to change." He talked to your heart and was very special to our generation, and if he could have, he would have changed the world. Just like MLK and Malcolm X and JFK, etc..... When Pac did, we truly felt it, and of course, they covered up his death with killing Biggie soon after to make it look like a West Coast East coast thing and bow you hear about Diddy being apart of the "Illuminate" and all that.....think about it....

I remember when this would come on and wondering if I was going to be listening to Bruce Hornsby "Changes" (The song sampled for this) or 2Pac. 2Pac was brilliant! I think I will always be somewhat partial to "Shorty Wanna Be a Thug." It was the first song by him I really listed to. Great reaction Lilly!

Ghost is one of my favorite 2Pac tracks. You just opened a wormhole with 2Pac. His goal was to record 3 songs a day in the studio. When he was able (not locked up), it seems he did jus that. Made music. He just had a way....Man, I wish I good spend an afternoon smokin' blunts and bullshittin' with that dude. I bet it would be something to change me forever having heard what he thinks about. What would he be saying today if he were here to see whats going on. You will see, just turn on 2Pac and let the music roll. There SO MUCH to hear, learn, ponder and otherwise just have fun with. Welcome! And Enjoy!

The official video clip is good too. It hits harder because in the middle you hear news reporters announcing his death. Just adds another level to the song. Amazing that he was only 25 at the time of his death too. He'd done all this by that age. In some ways, he lived a long life, despite dying so young.
