- Many collectors feel that Independent Coin Graders (ICG) is a poor third-party grading company. Is this reputation deserved? Is there ever a reason to send a coin to ICG rather than PCGS, NGC or even ANACS? Take a look at the ICG-graded coins in this video and judge for yourself.

First time I have seen your content. I still am a bit leery of ICG. Thanks for posting.
I just got a submission back from ICG. They were spot on . No over graded coins . If anything they were very tough on toning and identified problem coins . . ICG does well with mid grade coins too. Just as good as the other grading companies . What ICG grades a coin is good for me.
Over all I was was overgradeing some I'm surprised. They nailed it on the cleaned grades at least. Great video ty
thanks
Publishers clearing house is selling 2024 american eagle silver dollars graded MS 70 for a about 125.00 doesn't sound right graded by ICG what do you think
I like your videos. Great job! Do you have any coins from the other TPGs to show? Wouldn't mind seeing someone do a video on the different holders (ANACS, ICG, NGC, and PCGS) and the pros and cons between them and likes and dislikes about them in terms of looks and quality.
I like the content of this video and I didn't think the pictures were that bad. Decent mics aren't very expensive, so I'd defenitely spring for one. Good script and well read. All in all, a very good video.
Nice I geused 66 then 66 again. I'm a toned dime specialist. Funny enough I don't think I've ever seen an ms64 dime but the first two could be 64 and the 3rd one 66.
The way i see ICG is as seasoned collectors have told me. ICG is spot on and great up till AU. If you’re buying AU or higher and spending good money go with PCGS or NGC to protect your investment.
I'm not a fan of ICG. I know my calls are correct. Last coin I said vf30. There all over the place on grading and not as legit as ANACS or PCGS.
Independent Coin Graders! Aka “ I CAN’T GRADE” lol just kidding their not bad
Its hard to judge companies by such small sample sizes. Ive seen pcgs holders with the wrong coin labeled on it so they all have misses. Its crazy to me that 1 number in grade can mean thousands of dollars and its just a random guys opinion from a company that has misidentified coins altogether...
All coin grading is subjective.
Buy the Coin not the Holder 😂 !Ryoy were all Brainwashed by the Plastic Holder that the Grade is Not Accurately Graded plus you do not really Know if the Coin inside the Plastic is Genuine or fake, Even as today the Plastic Holder is also Fake .. 😅😂😂
Oh man you have hit a sore spot here!!! i reciently broke out 5 ICG coins along with a few PCI and old ANACS. ALL 5 ICG came back as either cleaned or the grade was dropped from MS to AU. 1 PCI came back better and the other PCI came back as the same and the 2 old soap boxes camer back as better from NGC.......... So if you ask me i would never buyu another ICG graded coin.
ICG means i can't grade...
Please Try To learn the History of Coin Grading Company ! Who started it ? For your Additional Knowledge is Accugrade in 1984.
*"Eye Appeal" accounts for 15% of a coin's grade. That's straight out of the PCGS grading video. 85% of the grade is based on wear and wear alone. You are speaking about that which you do not know. In other words, you don't know WTF you're talking about*
A nice try, but between recording the audio on a 1930s telephone receiver, the flip-phone photo quality, and the scratched up holders, it's very difficult to take this video seriously. You may very well be a legit coin expert, and with some investments in audio and lighting, this could be the beginning of a great channel. It's unfortunate, because I could really use some additional info on ICG. I do know that they consistently win the grading contest at the Long Beach Coin Expo, for what it's worth. Anyway, best of luck to you.
Thank you for your honest feedback and for watching despite the technical shortcomings.
