As far as upstate New York bands go, Section 8!! Very, very underrated!! Those two albums they put out in the 90's were killer!! They had a Life of Agony/ Sheer Terror mixed with death metal growls sound to them! And I'm Jersey guy!!
One of my favorite dudes in hardcore. Love it! Jameson was a great pick for favorite dancer. I remember one time at the Duster when he was hanging off the railing of the second floor walking across people. Another time at Valentines when he leap frogged over Tiny during a Wasteform set, and he made it all the way back to the soundmixer. lol Good times! The mix of bands we got at Winners was insane. Death, thrash, hardcore, everything in between. We never cared (still don't) which genre a band is, as long as you're willing to come out we'll enjoy your set.

My dad's from Schenectady but i was never able to catch a show when we went to visit my grandparents. Did get to Crypto Comics and Last Vestige
One of the main reasons i woudld go to shows as a teen was to get flyers and tapes!
