In my high school days, I was crazy about this and other Santana songs. 49 years later, I am still crazy about them and enjoying them to the fullest
Listening to it now, I see why so many think analog vinyl was so much better sounding then today digital sound in my humble opinion! See in today's world all you have to do is think of yourself as a expect to become one!
It must have been awesome growing up in that time!

The acid or music🤯
This music is some of the most free, wild and soulful of its generation. Hard to imagine music like this being made again. These guys were out on the frontier of excitement in the sound of electric guitar. Those must have been heady days, surrounded by Piers working at their maximum, cheap gasoline, and the world still fascinated with the idea of combining blues, rock and other influences in this kind of a format. Carlos was really tapping into something here
He's amazing.

I read everyone praising Santana ,but no mention of the man that wrote and performed the original track.
Praise to Peter Green.
Peter who? Peter cetera? WHO?? PETER PAN
Peter Green, the founder and lead Guitarist of the original line up of Fleetwood Mac.
@@davidpike1487 THE Peter Green. A B.B. King inspired, UK 60s Blues Rock guitarist, and singer. Not really the best singer, but it is what it is. CLEAN playing, strong tone, distinct, no "dad rock" bullshit here. He was one step away from exactly how Jimi Hendrix progressed, but went the opposite...took LSD and went off the deep end. Both played tons of Blues Rock, although Jimi was living and playing in the real US Blues scene, and people like Green were very detached from it and going off of records/local clubs.
Praise to god
Tbh...Peter Greens was blah....Santana put the song on the map...if u guys want melodic and to feel the magic...try Dennis Brown...Black magic woman...u actually get that eerie ness better...however there is truly magic in both
