    😂 my B.I.L. told my son. When he was about 10 if he could show him where to put gas in his 57 Chevy he would give him the car with no help from me ! I kept eye balling the gas door but my son didn't catch on ! 😂 win some, lose some !

    I knew all of those little "features," but I am 76 years old and learned to drive in my dad's 56 Chevrolet.

    You have a very nice car. With only 3,673 miles on the odometer, it isn't even broken in yet!! LOL
    The fuel door is fairly well hidden, but the fuel door on the 1956 Chevy was extremely well hidden as it was behind the left rear taillight.
    The A/M only radio had tubes in it. Once it is turned on, it takes about 10 to 15 seconds for them to warm up for it to start working. I see that your radio doesn't even have pushbuttons to select radio stations.
    My 2002 Lincoln Town Car still has door lock buttons that go up and down, but mine doesn't have dice on them!! My car also has a cigarette lighter with a ashtray in front, and an ashtray on each rear door.
    I have never seen a floor pedal that pumps windshield washer fluid on any car. That seems very rare.
    Your car must have been garaged kept, as the speedometer needle and the transmission indicator is still very bright in color. Most of them have faced from too much sunlight.
    If your car had air conditioning, it would perfect to drive anytime.

      I wish the car had only 3,673 miles on it but the speedometer/odometer was replaced after 197,000 miles; meaning the car now has over 200,000 miles on it.

    Bel Airs had chrome on top of the rear 1/4 panel that ran the whole way to the rear window...this is either a 210 or 150

    • @WebsterHighlanders
      @WebsterHighlanders  9 месяцев назад +2

      It's a 210, but if you look close, it has all 3 trim levels from 1957.

    Nice ride!I"m a 64 year old Chevy guy so I figured he"s not gonna show me nothing.Never knew about the foot pedal for the windshield washer,most of them are probably long gone.

      i've looked at a lot of tri-fives, and mine is the only one so far i've seen with the washer pump pedal

    This is a Franken car. A 210 with Bel Air side trim inserts.

    • @WebsterHighlanders
      @WebsterHighlanders  Год назад +8

      it's more Franken than that: it also has the 150 paint divider trim on the rear doors, so it has all 3 models, 150, 210, and bel air trims

    Thank you for the video. I have one too but not as pretty as yours though. Never seen a windshield wiper fluid pump before so cool. It also has parking lights not marker lights. They turn off when the headlights are on

    and it appears that the grille is silver not Gold for a Bel Air...the gold was to celebrate 50 years of Chevrolet

    As a teenager in the 50’s it is rather amusing to me when the younger generation is puzzled by the headlight switch on the floor, the cigarette lighter and ash trays, and the vent windows.
    I drive an 89 Lincoln town car which has the ashtrays front and rear.
    I have power windows, but still have the vent windows, you hold the switch until they open then stop before the big window goes down.

    Don't forget the vents for your fresh air above the headlights. And when the radio is playing, you'll hear the music coming out from there. And the trunk space...oof!

    كانت سيارتنا وكنا نسافر فيها مسافات طويلة واملاءها بالوقود من الجناح الايسر وانطلق دون توقف في الامطار والثلوج و حتى في الصيف بمجرد مرورونا كان اللون الازرق والابيض ملفت للانظار....سيارة الزمن الجميل و الصناعة المتينة.
