I think this champ is just disgusting. He almost wins that 2nd all-in with effectively only dshield vs dblade, whip and longsword, no ignite and being a level down. If he had sheen instead of boots+tear it wouldnt even be close. Also most nasus run tp ghost so they get a free reset early and are even harder to punish.
I agree with u. I just played against a nasus player with tp ghost. I solo killed him twice. and yet he still was able to kill me when he got level 6 with only sheen spike and just ran me down with ghost. if he turns on ghost with R and sheen early then even if i killed him twice before that i still lose. Worst part is u can't even bait his ult too, u take long trade to bait his R out but he only uses it when u really commit(when u R) and when u get out when he Rs he just ghost and runs u down and by the time u trade after his ult runs out u r already too low from his ghost run down. And my item was way ahead of his items too.

Im pretty sure a lv 11 nasus with only steels caps and sunderer would win against lv 13 riven with Boots +Goredrinker+Black Cleaver. So you better dont pick riven in this match up because you cant handle him on side in later stages of the game.

I have started winning lanes consistently and started thinking about how to mechanically outplay, but I'm not able to carry the lead to win the game. As a fed riven or an even riven, what's my role in team fights ? How do I play against a significantly fed jungler or mid laner ? Also, what do I do if I fall behind ?
Carrying as riven when you're ahead comes down to getting sidelane+jungle skirmishes. While Riven isn't a great splitpusher, she is an amazing sidelaner thanks to amazing wave clear, mobility and 1vX potential. Only her turret game is mediocre. Play the vision in the enemy jungle. With all the wallhops, proper vision and smart sidelane pushing you will be able to set up kills. Pull the attention away from your team, especially when you're ahead. Join in for teamfights only when you have to, when your flash is up, or you're ahead as a team. As for teamfighting, your role depends entirely on whether you have flash or not. Flash will allow you to engage with a proper combo and play the frontline threat game. Depending on enemy placement and their hp lvl, you will go for TheShy combo, Wehril combo, or BoxBox combo. If you don't have flash, you should go for backline, utilizing flanking, similar to how Zed is supposed to be played. Try to go in unexpectedly from the fog of war, wallhops and proper vission clear will help you with that. Avoid being the first to engage, unless there is no one else to do so, but in general - you should only do that with flash. Falling behind as Riven forces you to play proper sidelane macro to maximize gold and exp, similar to how Garen plays. Shove, pull the attention, utilize your movement abilities to waste time for the enemy team. Get strong enough, so you can at least get a 1 for 1 in a 1v2 fight. I guess that's the gist of it.
this vid shows just how much wave management means, whenever i'm against this dog, he just outsustains every trade i try into him with his passive and automatically outscales me over time, it's such a sad and frustrating position to be in, especially while knowing i should win it early
this is a very informative guide, the combos, the trades, the pressure, everthing but the nasus also played it pretty poorly not respecting you and taking unnecessary trades! all in all good video!
Can anyone explain why you need to let the wave push into you? I just did this in a game and ended up getting my ass beat because he ended up getting a decent sized push so when i traded the minions absolutely melted me, and if i tried thinning the wave out he would just poke me with the aoe and he deals a lot of damage with that
1-You let the wave push into you because that way, hes vulnerable to ganks, while youre not, also if you all in and he decides to run, hes going to be far away from his turret, you on the other hand are almost unkillable. 2-As you learned, you don't fight your oponent while he has a HUGE wave, also you do not want the wave to crash in your tower, you want both waves to freeze right outside your turret range. 3-If you see hes going to give prio to poking, you chill levels 1-3, focus on keeping as much health as posible, the rush vamp septer (if your build allows it and refil pots)
Hey Alois what do u think of trading nasus lvl 1 only with q and not auto to not let the lane push to him and not take minion aggro ? I love when the lane push to me against Nasus and champ that i can punish hard. Btw im just gold so im asking you.
Hey brother I recently got wrecked by a nasus who used phase rush and scorch, he put 3 points E with Dorans ring and every time he threw the spell the dmg caught me off guard I found it really hard to trade with him early any advice on that?
Use your E reactively on his E and just try to get the wave into a position where he's forced to walk up, and then look to engage onto him. All his damage is his E, so once he's used it you're free to just jump on him and do whatever u want

I always try to push him in and then roam around into the jungle or sometimes mid, maybe Proxy a Wave. Trading vs him is very annoying and unlike other Juggernauts like Darius you cant really outplay his hitboxes or "Power mode" (Darius with his 5 bleeds, easy to avoid. Mordes Aura? Not so much). Morde likes people to be close to him, and Riven gives him exactly that. Its just a bad matchup so i try to avoid laning vs him without falling behind. Early Boots Help to sidestep his E and Q. I just ban him tbh. Or Urgot

Even if he did start holding his Q for after stun, you can switch to Q>W>Auto x E. If he spends 700 not building tear plus Cloth, he would be squishier, and not able to farm with, causing him to leak more resources, and take much more damage from each trade, meaning he'd be even lower at the start of each all in
@@Cellus5000 nasus q goes through even though you stun, so as soon as his q deals more then you shield you will start getting chuncked on every trade so you can not trade anymore so as he said it is required to get and keep the lead otherwise he fucks u

The fact that he almost beats u with tear vs whip is so gross. If he buys cloth instead he actually wins that interaction that you kill him.
