Louis’ comment @10:48 about not moving to Texas didn’t age so well. Things change, so I’m sure that the reasons he mentioned he didn’t want to move there are null and void given the opportunity he has to make moves on right to repair while still allowing his business to continue.
Also ironically, someone superchatted “I think Louis should find somebody to form a limited partnership to find someone with capital and use your business as passive income.” Definitely easy to say that is vague in this instance, but it has seemed to come true in a sense with his new employer. Interesting how much of the future was sort of told in this video.
Lesson learned here: never say never! Louis I respect your desire to do the right thing. You are a true testament to entrepreneurship in that you always do what you think is right and best for the company and your employees, even if in the long run it doesn’t work out to be the best decision. You admit to your faults and learn from them (as do I) and you move on working to not make the same mistakes you did in the past. Respect!

literally every company that isn't yours claims that it does... and they're completely full of it, because you're absolutely right.
I left my last job mostly because my supervisor was utterly incompetent but constantly took credit for myself and my coworkers training ourselves and doing everything, including sorting out the logistics and working around the dumb crap she told us all to do. when it finally came down to me leaving I told her it was ludicrous that she was telling me to do anything.

I think the main thing that anyone who wants to clean up their audio should take away is that it's a lot easier to boost quiet audio in a room with good acoustics than it is to clip fix blown out ear rape you get from trying to shout over a room with crap acoustics. 99% of bad home audio can be fixed by just by tacking some blankets up over the corners, turning the AC and any other fans off for a few minutes during takes, and _turning your fucking gain down_
Edit: the fan thing also happens to be the reason got me an old-ass, gigantic thermal take case with a big, slow-spinning 8 inch fan in the side and a totally overkill heatsink. It won't game for long in quiet mode settings, but it can chug along quite nicely in reduced power mode and zero fan speed (except the big-un) when it's just chewing on Audacity.

I started 5 years ago watching your board repairs. I don't know anything thing about board repair but found it interesting. Then I started watching all your other videos and stopped watching your repairs and fell into all your other videos. (Felt like I had learned , about what your company does, what I could not doing anything with the information I was gaining) fast forward now watching this video brings me back to five years ago and it's "warming " lol. But you are definitely changing as a person. It's for the better if I say. Wish I had a million bucks to pump into your business to move or expand and for right ro repair. Stay well. I made that investment comment right before you started talking about being a Penny stock or investors lol. I mean i believe in You and that small company and if I had the cash I would give it. As a privet investment. So the financial burdens would be lifted and the company could actually grow. And if you wanted to actually move the team could go work you and the families

Excellent audio due to the DPA mic and the compressor. Nice job. This from a pro sound mixer. Thx for caring.

I need an update on this particular MacBook. I wanna see the entire journey. Watching this MacBook be repaired is like watching an addict on the path to recovery.

@Louis Rossmann. That is not the dirtiest board I have ever seen. There are a couple I flat out refused to fix and clean...I draw the line at bodily fluids...let's just leave it at that. I did manage to repair a laptop board several years ago when the user's cat peed all over it. That was terrible. I had to send it through the wash 3 times to get the smell out. Had to replace pretty much everything else. The screen had it between the layers, the keyboard, the touch pad, the hard drive, the fan, the cooler, the battery. Fixed the mobo and power board...and had it all back together and working 100% for 350 bucks...but it was a 2000 laptop and nearly brand new...which is why at the time I loved Lenovo. Not sure of their practice these days but once they were easily top two for parts and serviceability.

I’m about to turn 34 in the past 14 years let’s say 16 years I feel like I’m the same person but I know I have grown what you said I totally agree I was wondering if anybody else felt the same way but at the same time it’s not something you bring up too often almost as if it’s taboo you got this expectation per age mark what are you should’ve been done! Also every time I see send your MacBook I think about getting screwed over but honestly if anything happened to mine I would do it in a heartbeat man!
