Samuel L. Jackson did 2 "Shaft" movies where he is very much like his character in "The Other Guys": "Shaft" (2000) "Shaft" (2019) Richard Roundtree, who did the originals in 1971 and 1973 appears in both as Sam Jackson's father (John Shaft Sr.).
One of my faves. Glad your mum got to see it. I love how self-aware it is, and the Bed, Bath and Beyond stuff is a hilarious addition. If you're after a little more Steve Coogan, he's in a nice little British comedy The Parole Officer (2001) with Lena Heady from GOT. It's a sweet and funny, silly little flick - well worth a watch.
There was a movie where the Colombia lady was late to get onto the podium & grab the floating torch but I can't remember what movie it was in. I love it when movies add unique things like that. See you next reaction.
26:05 That is now and forever will be one of the best lines I've ever heard in a comedic movie. Because it's so on the nose and so funny. I also think the term "soup kitchen" is the best. This movie is an All-Star performance 14 years later and it's never been not worth the watch
Random i know, but i was re watching Red Sonja last night again and thought i wonder if jen has watched it, im sure u will have nick, its a classic. but I'd say its defo one to add to ur list Red Sonja 1985
I think you and your mother should do a reaction to the Vikings series You've seen 300 You've seen Troy You've seen Braveheart You've seen The Last Samurai And enjoyed all of them you will love Vikings
Back when this movie was made - I lived in lower Manhattan. This red Prius was parked outside my place. And it got - over days - increasingly bad. Gun shots; windowless. Still. One of the funniest movies ever made. /I don't trust hobos or what they do in red Prius's.sss
"There were no bushes. What the hell?!"😲
Best line of the movie, Jen!
She cracks me up…. EVERY time 😂, you both do. I genuinely hope you are both doing well. 😊
I mean there wasn’t even an awning. Doesn’t make sense.
Not the cricket noises lol. Your mom's reactions were awesome. "How could they have an orgy in that?" 😂😂😂

One of the funniest buddy cop action comedy movies ever made! I wish it was made into a franchise.
oh look, he's flying.
Stevenson was also in The Book Of Eli supporting Gary Oldman.
I heard the lion rebuttal was improv-ed!
R.I.P. Anne Heche.

When I saw this video pop up I was like "Poor Jen." Having said that, I love this movie so much.

I love how the end credits cover a huge list of financial crimes committed by Americas captains of industry.
The Rock & Sam Jackson are too funny. Now when people say something that makes no sense, I reply "Aim for the bushes, I guess."
I know how much y’all love Robert Duvall… Y’all should check out “The Apostle”, his best work, in my opinion!!
Your poor mother. 🤣🤣 Ray Stevenson was one of the best things about the HBO series Rome. Thirteenth!

You seem to have missed the end credits. They are informative in this movie.
