I actually don't understand how people are sat here saying she's terrible?! I'm no Katy mega fan but I won't ever deny her talent here, she may not be a Whitney Houston but she certainly showcased here that she can sing. I am a fan of Lady Gaga, I am also a fan of Katy Perry. I HATE when people think that because they like one artist that they can't like another just as much. (I'm almost convinced most of them have turned into robots. . . ) But I totally agree with you and her live performances have gotten MUCH better, and this song is beautiful!

Sing well doesn't mean she has to sing like she did in the record, but she has to convey something vocally, and she did it in an impressive way here. She is actually one of the few pop stars who know how to do that, and people still question why she is famous?

Idk why but everytime I'm sick and alone and am just going thru my own personal struggle, I'll hear this song, or pull up a vid of it and each time I start crying. It almost feels like a message God spoke thru her because it reminds me about what God thinks about us, even during our darkest battles when we don't feel like that towards ourselves. I think she knows the power that God gave her, the gift of being able to sound like this and make a song like this and have it get into ppls soul and strike such a nerve emotionally...that is a gift to the world, even more so when u can't seem to pick urself up..gives me a sense of the good instead of evil. Moved to tears. Beautiful .

The amount of people hating on her is just 👎 Before you judge her and say how she can't sing or she doesn't deserve to be an artist, watch her movie all about her life and how she became such a successful inspirational musician because I can tell you that many people give up on their dreams at the first struggle they experience, but the amount of times she was told she was not good enough or she wasn't strong enough to make it, didn't make her loose sight of her dream. She kept chipping away, working harder and harder each day until she finally found a breakthrough and I can honestly say that I am so glad she did and i think that she deserves so much more respect then what she gets. I'm just saying... No hate.

Not the biggest fan of Katy Perry, but I do think this song is beautiful and this is the best I have ever heard her sing.
It seems that you need an acquired taste to enjoy Katy Perry's voice. I've never heard anybody sing even remotely similar to her, I dunno, I like how unique she sounds. I prefer her singing acoustic, but I just fucking love her. She sounds like a symphony of angels. Kinda annoying continuously trying to defend someone's singing abilities for 6 years, given up now. You either like her or you don't. I don't care. Just means less fans standing in front of me at her concert. Good day

I can't even begin to explain my annoyance at the comments people post about her not being able to sing, how her boobs make her famous, or that it's auto tune. If you don't like her, get lost! She is amazing, whether or not you like her. Talking a lot and laughing really expands and warms up your vocal chords. All of the musical performances on the Chatty man are usually after the full interview so I'm guessing it helps the performer in a way.

Sometimes her songwriting is just on point like "Thinking of you". I'm not a mega fan of Katy Perry, I always prefer her music moments when they're not layered and layered like crazy sometimes. But I guess these are some of the ways that can make music not boring. So many renditions! :) This performance moved me; and the live one at EMAs (vocally) and AMA(visually).
