I’m starting a roofing business does that mean I only need general liability and workers comp or just generally liability because I will be using sub contractors
Just general liability.. You can get worker’s compensation for yourself in case you get hurt it’ll cover your medical bills

Buy the vehicle, make sure to let your insurance agent your employee will be driving the vehicle.

If you rent a regular smaller store do you have to pay insurance for the building from the outside. Or you only have to pay injuries for liability

I have a trucking company and everyone has insurance for the consumer. What is insurance that will fully protect me as the owner from a lawsuit? Would that be professional or business owners insurance?
Liability insurance. I would suggest contacting a CPA near you and verify. I don’t leave in your area so not sure things work the same.

Can you talk about what is required of someone in the tree industry starting a small business with minimal certifications? I have a fair amount of experience and have been doing small tree jobs but I want to set myself up with insurance and a business instead of doing cash jobs, I'm fairly young and by far am not the most experienced but I'm sharp and I know my limits. Do you think I'm wasting my time by starting my own company? Does that limit my ability to grow?
Starting a small business in the tree industry with minimal certifications can certainly be a challenge, but it is not impossible. It's great to hear that you have experience doing small tree jobs and are looking to set yourself up with insurance and a legitimate business.

I recently found an experienced arborist that is willing to take lead on more complicated jobs as I encounter them, that's great. I definitely lack in the book smarts so that's where I'm going to focus for now.

You Missed employment practices liability, cyber liability (if you have a web site that take any kind of customer data you need it), and Employer benefits liability. But really good over all .

Why isn't work comp included in the liability insurance? See, I have the impression the insurance business is by and large a scam: you are covered if a brick falls over your head in the bathroom, but if you are in the living room, then it is tough luck. That type of thing...
Works comp is based on payroll and how many employees you have, also each state have different laws regsrding works comp. Most small business are run by owner not requiring works comp.
My brother got jumped at work, He try to sue the company but I guess they were protected?! So ended up suing the guys who jumped him...and he still hasn't got workers comp
