    For those who are new to classical musics, 3:33 and 9:32 are references to Mendelssohn's and Sibelius' violin concertos, which is why Brett messed up! (he unconsciously played the original pieces instead of what Eddy played)

      Yeah.
      For further explanation, Eddy played a famous piece but changed a few notes. The reason Brett lost is because he was so uses to playing the original piece that he accidentally just played the original, forgetting to change the notes that were different.

      @@ajchandra7735 many of us misunderstand eddy. i used to think eddy tried to win cause of how much eddy protests, but eventually i noticed that i never noticed eddy actually protests for his brett just as often. then later, when i paid attention, i began noticing that when eddy protests for brett, he gives brett the points.
      after noticing that, i started paying attention to whether eddy keeps his point when he protests for himself, and then i noticed that eddy often doesn't get points and tries again just to prove his point, but not to get the point.
      one of the videos i recall was their "Attempting ABRSM Sight-Reading Test of Every Grade". in that video, eddy kept protesting for brett and he did it at least 3 times and also gave all 3 points to brett. brett did not even have to fight for the point. it just passed so quickly that no one would've noticed eddy fighting for brett's justice. on the other hand, whenever eddy protested for himself, he just wanted a retry, but then he always said he wasn't going to take the point.
      we never noticed because when eddy protests for brett, they both agree so it it is lost on us. when eddy protests for himself, we think he's trying to cheat a point for himself.
      that's when i realized eddy was just misunderstood due to his analytical nature.
      even in this video, notice how eddy and brett laughed when eddy played that hard part and without any argument, eddy immediately disqualified his point after laughing that it wasn't fair.
      we misunderstood eddy for trying to fight for petty points, but actually eddy always points out unfair things for himself and his opponent. we never notice this because we only suspect eddy when he says it for himself. we never notice when he says it for the other side.
      anyway, i started pointing this out when i noticed ppl misunderstood eddy. eddy does try to win because that's what makes the games fun. but eddy can give away points the entire game while trying to win.
      i believe a fitting description for that is good sportsmanship. unfortunately, this is hard to notice because we usually pay attention to what he's trying to gain, and we end up misunderstanding him.
      if we think twice, they don't gain anything from winning. It's like how BTS are millionaires and they try so hard to win a pack of beef. they aren't really trying to win for the prize, but they are trying to make the game fun for everyone and they have to care and try to immerse themselves in the game.
      this is why it's fun watching them fight for points even though it's just a silly game.

    • @IAmARainbowSheep
      @IAmARainbowSheep 2 года назад +596

      Brett has what is called relative pitch. He can "hear the distance" between two notes so if he knows the first one, can guess the next. It's a more "horizontal" way of listening, using the intervals, instead of identifying the notes one by one without reference. I love how their intro after all these years is still so primitive. I mean so many RUclipsrs have a song playing or a logo or something but you two just say “welcome to another Episode” and I love it

    Some of these actually have potential!! I think it’s the fact that two people “”made”” them in such a short amount of time that gives the pieces a lot of character. You can really feel the presence of two people in the song.
