DON’T GIVE UP ON THESE A CHRISTMAS CAROL VIDEOS SIR. I know they don’t do all that well in terms of views etc. but they’re great. Can we expect a revision guide Christmas present on A Christmas Carol?
No, sadly my day job has been crazy! I am having to have the guide done in January, but it will probably be later...I’m making a video each time I write a chapter.
Thank you for these videos! I have an exam in a few hours and your deeper interpretations that my teacher doesn't always look into when showing us analysis will really help me stay in the higher grades!
Sir this is EXCELLENT! I want to thank you again for making these helpful English videos and i hope that you continue! It’s so helpful for gcse students like me, especially at this time of the year! ❤️
Hi, amazing video, i was predicted 6’s in english in october half term and i would quite like to do English Literature in A-level (i’m in year 11) and i was wondering whether you think i could get my English grades up to 8’s before the summer?
Definitely. Make brief notes from the videos, and put them into an essay from a past paper. Get your teacher to mark it, and then improve it. You will easily get better.
Thank you for creating your channel, like all your other videos, this is absolutely legendary and very helpful. I have a question, and I would be very grateful if you answered it: how do you come up with such imaginative interpretations? I read (for enjoyment) as much as I can & think things through, but at school imagination isn’t exactly encouraged... Thank you for your time.
Thanks Nicole. Imaginative interpretations depend on two things. Read about the time and the author at that time. Just knowing stuff counts for so much (and also then helps you with any other book you read written near the same period, and also increases your general knowledge for all sorts of other uses you can never predict). The second is to ask yourself, 'what does the writer want to change my thinking about?' If you ALWAYS ask that question, you will usually come up with some interesting ideas, because it will link back to what you have learned about the writer and the period. (School is not for life: reading is! Keep enjoying).
Hi mr sales please make a video on Eric billing by a student easy getting the 7 or 8 and 9 grade like 30 marks full so please make video it will be benificial
Mr Salles, out of sheer desperation, I beg you to make a video for Macbeth, An inspector calls and Christmas carol which tell us which quotes can be used in any essay on any theme and charachter. If you already have, please guide me to them out of kindness.

@@Lucy-nw4im why thank you for informing me, I shall look into them
could it be interpreted that marley passing through the door shows that anyone can pass through the door to heaven?
Not really, that is the whole point of Marley’s experience and that of the other ghosts. It is almost impossible for them to get to heaven
