We have given in to consumerism far to much this place is an insitution and should be protected as such. The simple fact is that if you put a Starbucks or coster there or other big chain we the people that go there will stop going. The whole point is that the people who go there are not looking for a 5 pound coffee or a nameless faceless corporate chain. We have all known Brad and know the history. I hope to have my kids join my on a ride out there once they come of age. We need to support the family business that is there not destroy the community it has created. A big community. Now where have I heard that.
Leave the Tea Hut alone! If you want posh nosh (at silly prices) then go to Butler's Retreat, if you want no frills but good simple food the tea hut is by far the best place.
Much as I sympathise it's a legal issue. His family has a lease. No matter how long they have held that lease it's still a lease.
