Green jackfruit can be cooked just like breadfruit. Cook in coconut milk with dried fish. :)

So I have an organic farm in the Philippines and grow amongst other things, bananas, papaya and coconuts. I make coconut milk for coffee and also ferment it for 15 to 24 hrs, then blend it with frozen banana and papaya.
The fermented coconut milk has a narural yoghurt flavour, but when blended with banana and papaya, it has a slightly yoghurty, full cream flavour. An excellent probiotic.
I would highly recommend growing coconuts, if u are in a tropical area, as the husk makes an excellent mulch, if cut up, apart from the meat that is good for animals and humans.

When I was I Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines, green jackfruit was one of my favorite vegetables--great with salty dried fish and coconut milk. In the Philippines, they used many green fruits as vegetables. Green papaya and green mango are great natural meat tenderizers for say tasty but tough 5 year-old layering hens or 27 year-old water buffalo. Good luck!

Nice to see all these plants and fruits, i grew up with in East Africa. I imagine you don't have alot of snakes though. The leaves an shoots of the young mango leaf ....sooo yummy.
Cut the banana leaf off the tree, the turn it over, cut the half of the spine off, wash it well, snails love hanging out.... then fold it into 3 and put your food in the center, tie it all up the banana brown fibre and steam away. The leaf turns brown when the food is ready. The purple flower is great for reproductive health issues...it's a process 😎
