    Try wrapping your teflon tape in the same direction that the fitting screws on for a more secure and neater connection. The price of that toolbox would make me worry more about the box than the tools. Five gallon bucket with a lid seat for the win!

    The ability to stand on it is a big plus. You never know when you'll need a bit of extra reach.

    Dude, it is so cool watching your place steadily becoming a legit homestead from back when you had just bought it. And yeah my experience with all things Yeti has been very good, rarely any issues. Personally I prefer to spend extra on something I know will be around a real long time instead of the frustration of having something break down or fall apart right when I need it most. At least so far, Yeti has proven themselves each time.

    Thanks Pete! I have similar issues in my yard and I also have a gear box, but a very crappy one by comparison. Contents are virtually the same though. We are backyard irrigation technicians…

    I actually like the removable Leatherman cutter inserts. When they get chewed up a bit I can remove them and sharpen them on my bench grinder. Just grab them with a pair of vise-grips and match the angle.

    A buddy of mine has a go box 30 lashed to a 4wheeler and has been using it for about 18 months for maintenance and odd jobs around his piece of property as well as taking it along on camping & fishing trips. So far it’s holding up very well despite being left out in the sun pretty regularly. No UV degradation.

    A tubing cutter makes quick work of it when installing sprinklers, you just have to twist the tool as you cut. They're inexpensive, too. It would be nice if Leatherman took the toolset of the Rebar (which has tools that actually work good) added scissors then gave it the Free form factor. I'd be all about that.

      They make perfect cuts too. I have all kinds of tubing cutters. I was a pipefitter for 10 years before I got on a local chemical plant down the road.

    It took me a while to be open to buying yeti stuff, but I have zero regrets for any yeti product I own at this point. Admittedly, that openness was precipitated by people dramatically shooting their yeti products up on social media bc of some perceived political slight, but hey, turns out they make good stuff.

    Hey Pete, this is your video, and I hate "you're doing it wrong" videos, but you're applying the teflon tape incorrectly. I know because the company making my brass fittings for my water purification in house told me the same thing. You wrapped clockwise. When you applied the fitting the tape began to unwind. The tape is supposed to wrap counterclockwise (the same direction the fitting tightens) so that the tape tightens as the fitting tightens. Also, they told me I should only use one layer. Sorry to be critical. You do whatever makes you happy! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!

      @risenfromyoutubesashesagai6302 Год назад

      I said the same thing, however, he can save himself the headache and just get some thread dope and apply it any direction he wants, as it's basically a paste. The only purpose of Teflon tape is to add lubrication to the threads being threaded together. Its NOT to prevent leaking.
