- A day to forget.
Two big mistakes, the first one of them being in the Superpole Race. I was committed to a pass on Andrea and was just closing in. To not put him at risk I entered a bit faster on the inside to go clear of him but just touched the kerb and that was the end of my race.
It had a huge knock on effect for Race Two as I was then starting from P10. I arrived in T3 alongside Bassani. I got a little bit squeezed and just ran out of track position a little bit too fast.
I was on the front and rear brakes, trying to slow down but I hit Xavi Vierge. I saw him straight after the race and tried to apologise because I am so sorry for that. And for Scott Redding as well, as he was involved in the mix up. I took my long lap and tried to focus on my lap time.
I had lost my rear brake lever. Without my rear brake in my hand I struggled to enter the corners in the same way as usual, so the pace was a bit slower and only enough to come back to P10. A day to forget, really

Jeez i felt bad for you this weekend @jrea65. I was there with KRT & it was obvious how bad you wanted a win this weekend, we know how much the home support means to you. Thanks for coming out to get a photo after race 2 on Sunday, you were disappointed & we didn't know what to say..............regardless of results, you're still 'the man' & we will always have your back!
Bautista knows keep it close because he gains 3 to 4 tenths a lap on the front straight. He did same thing at Aragon with the long back straight. I felt sorry for you at Aragon, you deserved that win, and Toprak here. They need to give you guys some more horses on the straights to make it fair. Good job Johnny!
They've got horses it's Dorna an FIM restrictions on there RPM

Sad you had such a crap Sunday, but you had a fantastic run on the Kawa all these years! Something to be proud of! Hope you finish of your time on the Ninja with a high! Also hope you keep making these video's next year with team blue. It's cool to see the insights on race weekends!

Thought you'd have a strong chance at a superpole race victory but i guess it wasn't meant to be. I understand in the full length races it was going to be more difficult with the steep dropoff with the tires you guys on the kawasakis seem to be dealing with lately and tough to keep fighting at the front as the laps tick off.
Hope you can finish the season strong. Will continue to be a fan as you move on to your new team next year!! 💯👍

By the way, about your switch to Yamaha, I don't think you did it for the money or you believe that they have a better bike (it's ugly too) but I think you did it to get out of the "golden cage"

Alvaro was kept honest ....but 3 tenths or more down the straight takes a lot of catching up. What's the point of having a minimum weight on machines if you can take 20kg off the rider !!!

Magny Cours 2022 revisited! Completely irrational, Egotistical, Arrogant Performance from Rea. Really thinks that he is the only one on track at times. Overtakes are like "Amateur hour"for the most part (Marco Melandri Mk2?) & acts like a bowling ball with complete disrespect for other riders. So deluded if he thinks he can do a better job than TR54 next year.

If he spent more time working on setup than PR interviews the lows would wouldn't be so low. But there's the question - exactly how much does Jr know about grass roots racing?
Appreciate (if it is actually Jr's) own reply to my comment. I am probably coming across as a "Hater" which I hope I can categorically say & convey that I'm not. JR amazingly talented Bike Racer, With admirable Hunger/Belief It's just when the stuff that emanated from Portimao and MC22 that kind of "Blurs the lines" Everyone knows how dangerous this Sport is.
We are seeing a parallel with JR & MM, MM has been slaughtered by certain "fans" for trying to compete on an obviously uncompetitive Bike. JR Bike/situation not remotely similar, Yet JR only seems to for the most part (I don't do X IS or FB) get unswerving praise & compliments.
It appears Kawasaki can’t make a more powerful better handling bike.

BTW, seeing you guys edited out how you were starting the little Z125pro, if it starts like sh!t, bring kickstand up first. Mine does the same. Hard to start with stand down, goes right away when stand is up. 😊
