Bus bars are nice though....maybe you can throw the bus bars from the one on the other, the one that you are fixing...and will probably fire up now.... (and epoxy coat bars for environ protect.)...another great insight video.
I look at this inverter and think about the place I work and all the people they have hired over the years to wire controls that have never picked up a wire in their lives. It some how in the end works but it sure isn't pretty but it works. Sort of like these inverters. Industry is desperate these days to push a product to just pay the bills and keep investors interested. I like the one inverter with the bus bars but they could used copper to carry more current. What shocks me is that they don't just use a circuit breaker but fuses cost near nothing to use so you get what you pay for.
I have since sold the one with bus bars and find myself wondering if it might have performed differently than the one featured in this video series. It couldn't have been too much of an improvement, though, considering the transformers were still quite small and the FET input and output stages were pretty much the same.
Depends on what you're looking for and your price target. The samlex, cotek, go power SK series were my go to recommendations until they discontinued them.
@@blakecomer2366 What BTU window unit? I would highly recommend a pure sine inverter as the window AC will run much more efficiently and last longer due to less internal heating.
I need help in repairing mine. It's the same as you have shown in this video. You think you can help? If you have a moment Maybe I could ask you a question.. I appreciate your help in advance.
Keep the great inverter vids coming. Ok next question I'm buying a 2000W pure sine wave inverter for our camper. I'm thinking of going with the Xantrex 2000 PROwatt sw for $359 any recommendations . Or am I on the right track
I think you're on the right track, and there are many 'wrong' tracks to be on! I have not disassembled, inspected, and tested the newer ProWatt SW series inverters but generally Xantrex seems to be middle-of-the-road which is usually a good spot to be in unless you want either the very cheapest or something very expensive. And I haven't run across a broken ProWatt SW for sale, so maybe that means something...
You sure do work on lot of Inverter's do you ever have any that just have a bad transformer and makes a buzzing sound. I you ever come a cross a 22 to 60 volt power inverter and you are not able to fix it I would ask you keep me in mind lol because I need a 300 watt replacement power transformer. lol.
I bot this CPI 2575 a week ago. Box shows the longer model too. But mine has 3 transformers inside that are smaller in size. Is this better than 2 larger ones? It connects with those circular thick wires, 6 of them. It's going into a big rig.
that is wired they are that completely different. a lot of products end up like that. they do a change to the board yet same product but different way to manufacture it. I have in the marines repaired Phones and some times they will be different, and we have to manual's for a TA-312 you at times can have two field phones beside each other they look the same operate the same but the guts can be completely different. so when you open it up you have to look for a REV number and then the manual for the phone. I guess you can always if you have to take it part for a date and rev it might give clues to see witch one is older.
Hello sir. Can change the transformer into a big transformer to make a high capacity wats

I am anxiously waiting for the burn in! I would like to see it handle 2500W continuously..

Where are you? Miss your videos.
What is your recommendation on a good quality inverter that's reasonable price?

@@knurlgnar24 I'm looking to run a window unit. I want enough power to run it out not over heat the inverter. What's your thoughts?

@@knurlgnar24 I'm looking at a 5,000 BTU. Would I need a 5000watt?
Do you have a model number you would recommend?

I don't have this particular inverter anymore but if you want to describe your problem I could try to help.
I have 1000 watt inverter it’s turn on but no output ac power what is the major problem might cause please help me
yes that wire go there i have one just the same man that supposed detect ground if its not connected it would turn on

Great stuff knurlgnar, Keep up the great videos!
I have to ask, is this just a hobby or is this the type of work you do for a day job?
It's just a hobby. At my day job I am an engineer but I don't get the opportunity to work on things like this while I'm on the clock.
Imagine the world today is Nikola Tesla inventions were given to man freely like he wanted to. He's a true hero...

I do have a few that I deemed 'not worth repairing'. What step up ratio and primary amps do you need?
