I never thought clothes could awaken any sort of emotions in people. But her clothes are emotional. They transcend space and time, and they're all out of this world, ethereal. You can see she has the thought patterns of a dancer. She focuses on movement, on gesture, on emotion. It's incredible and so inspiring to watch her creative process. As an illustrator I can only hope that one day I will be able to produce such graceful, fluid and ethereal silhouettes in my artwork. I'm fascinated by underwater photography and how materials like silk behave in water and air, and her designs remind me a lot of that.
She is wonderful. Her name. Does it mean from Harbin? I’m just guessing as she has a strong Asian look in her face and eyes. I lived in holland and many people have a name van Persie for example. Just a thought.
The only groundbreaking work in fashion during this century so far. This woman is a prophet of fashion. Her arrival was probably predicted before the 2nd coming of the Lord!
