Saying Farewell to my Lotus Elise

- I've sold my 2005 Lotus Elise after 2.5 years of fantastic ownership. I've absolutely loved owning this car and driving it everyday. Now that the Lotus is sold...the hunt for my next supercar is in full throttle. Future replacement may be a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Ferrari 360 Modena, Ferrari F430, an Audi R8 or Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

It's not about the car, it's the feelings, memories, and experiences you had while you owned it. I've got a 1966 Corvette that used to be my dad's, I could never sell it. Way too many memories and good times attached to it!
I'll keep an eye out for the car. I live in the Bay Area so I might see it around.

+Charles Satterthwaite Do you mean screwed up as in had a problem or you didn't like it? I will admit it was a little weird since the stock exhaust openings in the bumper were still there but that can be fixed. Regardless I still thought it was awesome.

i hope you get a special edition gallardo and not just the old 04 gallardo. but if you do get the 04 gallardo just put the new cooler front bumper in there and a superleggera wing. also these vlog videos with the cars are more enjoyable then just filming the cars imo i hope you do it more when u get your new car
+MrMentalz2 I've been looking at the Gallardo SE but that is really the only special edition Gallardo in my budget. I would absolutely love a Superleggera but they are about $140k. If I get a Gallardo, I definitely have a lot of mod ideas including the LP560 bumper and the Superleggera wing. Glad you like the Vlogs...definitely will be doing more when the new car arrives!

I'm looking at my first true sports car. I'm torn between a 1990-1996 Dodge viper and a Lotus Elise. I will say I have heard nothing but great things about this car. I love the exotic design and appeal it has. I will say the Elise is winning my attention. Would you recommend it for a starter ? I have owned only America classics and a Jaguar
I loved my Lotus Elise!! I cannot recommend it any higher! The perfect starter exotic! I will own another someday in my lifetime! $/smiles cannot be beat in an Elise! Get one, you won't regret it!!!

Get the F430 cause it's fantastic you might love owning the car and lotus is a supercar but Ferrari looks more cooler I like the Ferrari 360 it's nice but a little old and if anyone has Ferrari 360 I'm sorry if I am making fun of the car. And when your driving the F430 to Beverly Hills everyone is going to look at it and take some videos! I'm subbed to you also cause your channel is awesome. Lotus is also one of my favorite cars.

Yeah, I was planning to drive over the Bay Bridge but I was running late and took the shorter route over than San Mateo. I knew someone would notice haha! Oh man hahaha...I don't think I could grow the chest hair!

..........i tell u what - you may have the opportunity to buy larger better spec'd or built cars BUT i guarantee you that you will always miss a Lotus car. ask any Lotus owner and they will tell you there is something strangely special about them that makes it very difficult to live without one. Really. Think this is a daft statement? just ask any Lotus owner who actually enjoys driving, car design or automotive heritage. Good luck with your next car. Get a f430 and be unique, so many people get lambo gallardo its gotten boring. a f430 isn't bad, v8 power. aston martin reliability isn't great. audi r8 is to "practical", many don't consider it a supercar. If anything, i'd debate between the gallardo and f430 in my opinion.
***** i made this youtube account so many years ago. Im a fan of the gallardo, but i've seen so many. Id like to see someone own a f430 for a chance and who can post videos about it. Anyone can find videos on owners with gallardo. Its rare to find one with a f430. I know... the youtube name lol i get it.

exotics are already small, a Lotus is just tiny, a go-kart. part of the price of admission to exotics sports, not just the excellent handling & speed, the sex appeal attraction. if you go too small, too quirky, (Lotus, TT, etc.) it repulses more than attracts. but its subjective, u may not care about sex appeal, but for some it is a factor. totally find w/ guys who geek out for smaller rides too.
