      Your life will be enriched - go steady in first few years - remember cars and trucks are all out to get you and expect them to pull out of T junctions because they are all eating Greg’s sausage rolls, playing in their phones and “late” and frustrated. Just anticipate anything.
      . Do some more courses - like off road enduro and even trials to improve skill - there are many good videos like A Riemann to help you get better.

    • @titaniummechanism3214
      @titaniummechanism3214 2 месяца назад

      @@MaxUtley You wouldn't believe all the stuff that happened to me just in my driving lessons. I kinda knew before that other drivers reacted differently to bikes, that they had a hard time judging their speed, but I couldn't have imagined how bad it actually is. I was cut off like 5 times in my first 10 or so driving lessons. Once I had to brake so hard that I could feel the ABS kick in on the rear wheel. My driving instructor probably used his horn every 2 hours on average, while we were on the road.

    • @MaxUtley
      @MaxUtley 2 месяца назад +1

      @@titaniummechanism3214 well at least you know - I have been riding solid for a long time all over the world and unfortunately we bikers will come off worse in a collision and so expect the unexpected. Always look at drivers at T junctions to confirm they see you. They will cut you up, turn into you, open doors, squeeze and drive too close. Use speed to escape and find your space. I am not saying don’t have fun - but develop your “all round” defence and always have an escape plan - sounds like military… huh 😜

    Adam,
    I've finally caught an episode in a timely manner to chime in! There you are adventuring [and creating EPIC Motology content] the way you always have and pointing out that [the right] 2 wheels can get you most anywhere. After your last expedition to India to "let go", this journey must be feeling quite a bit different. And as accomplished as you are, your welcoming spirit with Daniel in Ep. 2 was fun to watch. So fortunate are we that you chose to ride to the festival vs fly in direct!! Of course you have this "job" to do to keep the family supported, as they support you, but doing what you truly love to make it happen is thrilling! Well done sir, keep it coming and keep finding that "ZEN state" with your trusty steeds letting your thoughts wander and soak it in.

    I'm exited to have my first foray into off-road in September, doing a gentle off-road "walk" as an introduction.
    Been riding road-only for these first two years and I do very much enjoy it, being on two wheels, twisty roads (though it usually takes an hour freeway to get to them and plenty of speed traps about).
    Off-road is very limited in Belgium but I'll see if it's something I want to do more of in the future.
    North of France and Germany isn't that far out for a venture on the TET.

Bought all the DJI stuff after losing my cameras hoofing it in Namib desert and will try out Adam’s filming on my own adventures. Have a huge trip on BDRs (Americas TET if you like) in 2025 - probably on Aprilia 660 Tuareg - although being a Chinese based rider I may try Kove or CF Moto.
    Like the active track on DJI Mini Pro footage - wish I had captured my round the world stuff - but still a few adventures ahead.

    Very funny to see Adam look at a church and be amaze, when you are french, it's so common, that you sometime forgot the real value. I mean we love it, but you go in every village of france, there is church, built 1000 years ago, and you forgot about that, and it's amazing to realize that in EVERY town in France there is an historical monument and heritage that is beautiful (true for several european country by the way).
    So thank you Adam to remind us our chance and come back in France anytime, there is marvelous road and off road to take, in the mountains (you would love going into Cevene, Dordogne and Perigors, and doing a Transpyrennean) or cruising by the rocky coast ... enjoy, it's a motorcyclist paradise

    I so get what you mean. Just did a Norway trip, on road this time, my travel companion had Indian Chieftain, but I will go back for the TET. First need some additional training off road, as I just got an adventure bike and only did a basic training course

      Do it mate. If at all possible, get a cheap little dirt bike and go and do all your practice on that. You'll learn off-road skills faster on the small bike and it will all transfer across to the big bike.

    "with only a few hundred kms to go, its strange to think that a completely different nation of people whom speak a completely different language are just on the other side of this mountain range"
    This reminds me when living in England trying to explain to my English friends that in Argentina you can find strait line routes with absolutely NOTHING on each side of the road as long as going from London to Edinburg but in a strait line!!!
    It was hard to explain to some the difference between the New World and the Old World....
    Great stuff Adam!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I bought a Moto Guzzi V85TT earlier this year and was doing some gravel roads with it here and there, and always wondered how it and i would do on mountain roads like this.. Last month I went to Colorado and brought the bike along and you are 100% correct, there is nothing like being on a big adventure bike and going up passes similar to this... I dumped the bike a couple times but learned a TON and still have a high from that trip.. Everyone needs to stop taking these bikes to starbucks and do this with them! Howdy from Texas!

    Brilliant as usual could watch your videos for hours what an adventure living the dream for some of us who can only wish we had the energy and time to follow your adventures and the scene where you just happen across a fellow rider on a closed road in some mountain range is just surreal 🤔can’t wait for the next episode

    Welcome to Northern hemisphere green lanes(tet). Nothing but wet boggy routes where the trees hang over, they never seem to dry out much up here🤣I'm always envious of the dry plains of southern hemisphere countrys😂as I'm from the UK, Spain is the closest thing to Aus that we have🤔loving this journey you're on Adam👌😉
