I don’t totally agree with you Mahalia Jackson is the Godmother of gospel music. I think Sandi Patti is the mother of Christian contemporary music. I want to say she is even the Whitney Houston of Christian contemporary music, her songs sound deceptively simple until you try to sing them yourself and realize you can’t. That’s why there will and will always be one Sandi Patti. Her voice and talent is God’s gift to us here on earth.
