    Really appreciate your videos..(I know/understand they arent easy to do in all one take sometimes) Its really hard to see most of your closeup shots becauise of the light and shadow-not enough light directed on the subject matter. (Just need to put a light from above or just behind you maybe) The 3rd shoes you picked up sure looked to be the silver or silver plated Tuff Ones shoes shaped just like the T-jets because the step was rather high for an AFX non mag shoe.?....but honestly it was hard to see exactly from this far away. . The short step shoes, 4th one, were used on Trucks, SEMI's, Blazers perhaps and such, and all those type vehicles as well as a lot of the lighted and specialty type chassis so to speak that came after the first generation Magna-traction years and lighted ones from all of my experience. They can be flattened with a pair of small duck bill pliers and work great as ski shoes if one wishes to do that. the short steps just lose contact on the smaller radius turns and makes the cars de-slot , especially when they are not adjusted correctly. *best to replace or flatten them out for sure) Even though it is easier to change pins you can cut the blade pins in a triangle shape (wide at the chassis to almost a point at the slot)or cut or taper them to any desired shape even to resemble the straight p[ins, although it is a little bit of work it does work if you're really on a budget.

      Simon Sez Cool thanks for the heads up! I will do like you said about the light. It's hard to see what needs to be fixed when I'm blasting through the video trying to keep them short and to the point. Again Simon keep the comments coming. Your friend in the hobby. Kevin vitoman50.

    Hi vitoman50...I like your show...I want to get into slot cars...can you help me pick the right one? What do you think about scale 1/32 Or do you think afx is best

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  6 лет назад +1

      anne lowery check to see what kinds of scale tracks are in your area. If none, pick one that will fit in the space you have. 1/32 takes up alit of space. Ho scales is easy to fit in a smaller space and easy to take care of. Me I have a Tomy AFX track lot more track for various layouts. Thanks for watching.

      hey i recently picked up two carrera go sets both had no loops and both were 28 feet of track, both sets combined cost around $200 with these two sets you could make a huge two lane set up or a sweet huge 4 lane oval with high banks on all four lanes, really nice! so i also have a sweet afx 50 foot four lane set $240 afx international its called, all these sets are on ebay everyday brand new and are the best deals out there ,i would highly recommend these and nothing smaller if you have $200 to throw at your hobby ,you will be in business! no need to upgrade either set up for years really

    • @NomadicSociety
      @NomadicSociety 6 лет назад +1

      read my comment below this one!!! get the carrera go gt competition and carrera go photo finish these are by far the best 1/43 scale for the $ or get the afx super international ho scale!!! $200 either way then have fun ;)

    dosent more drag take away from speed im new to this just asking

    • @vitoman50
      @vitoman50  6 лет назад +2

      chris camfield Thanks for the question. Laying the pickup flat in the track may add a little drag but not enough to make a noticeable difference. The benefits in doing so is highly benefitial that you will see a much improved car and times. What is being done here is improving the contract area of the pickups which gets more electricity to the motor. Hence more speed. More electricity to the motor the faster the motor spins the faster the car goes.
