Christian’s art does really mean a lot for us really. I really wish Ian could hear this but his music video “Nerves” (I know it is a lil old but) means so much to me. And especially last year when I was severely depressed I got so emotional seeing that music video because of how accurate it felt. From his facial expression to the shivering to the messed hair and rain felt so right. It felt like he depicted depression so well so perfectly. I could feel the cold in the video. Love him so much🤍
Yes I feel the exact same way. When his song came out I was also going through a depressive episode and just went through what is now the worst break up I’ve ever had. Nerves means so much to me so it’s so cool to hear someone else having a really similar experience to the song
yet again. listening to ian's words, no matter the years, goes far beyond the awkward charisma he radiates-- it's the healing comfort & INSPIRATION he gifts to dreamers♡ the epitome of what a kindhearted artist and human being should be, ian embodies this fully. organically creating this multiverse of mito & bravely showing his scars, facing his mental health demons while encouraging others to do the same. above all else, bringing to life his vision by his one man POWERHOUSE talents yet blessed with the family that is DPR ♡ there is just truly no one doing it like this crew. to have shared in on their journey over these beautiful years has been Overwhelming to say the least, but one thing is certain. be it DPR Ian, Rome, Barom Yu or Christian WE LOVE EVERY SINGLE RAW, HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL FRAGMENT OF YOU!! that cinematic eye + multifaceted artistry included, ALWAYS. thank you sincerely for this, as he deserves infinite platforms for his craft and mind!! and leave my emotional rollercoaster here, as a grown woman-- memories of my rocknroll devoted youth, my life, flooding in by his own rock background. i sincerely never get tired of hearing his story, as i resonate so deeply with ian's music love & ofc, ultimately leading to this family of versatile DPR ♡ as we see the relatable DAFT PUNK obsession lives on!! uugh. seriously just im rambling now but THANK YOU for this♡
Interesting to hear about Ian’s influences, I got such a Daft Punk nostalgia when I first heard No Silhouette but just dismissed it as a pure coincidence… 🤡
Ian is such an inspiration. He's so creative, insight & wise. It's rare to see such a genuine person whose art reflects his unique vision & inner beauty. I'm so glad I discovered his work ❤
22:55 you have no idea how much i needed to hear this especially today. i was having a really shitty day and i even contemplated quitting dancing, which is one of the very few things that i enjoy. his words always make me see things clearer and from a different perspective. he’s right as well! the reason why i was feeling this way is because i was comparing myself to really good dancers around me and i felt disappointed that the image that i had of myself and my skills was not what it was really like in reality and it really demotivated me. i hope i can follow what he’s saying and focus on bettering myself step by step and better my relationship with myself first and then with my dance. thank you christian💕
I was in a similar boat. I like drawing but there’s so many aspects to it, it can feel so overwhelming and like I’ll never be good enough. But like he said we just have to try and stop comparing ourselves good luck with dancing ! 💕💕
At 33:26 and 35:22 did anyone else notice the orb ⚪️floating around? You really have some strong energy there.😯 BTW I pray 🙏 for you often. I hope you continue to make your art for a long time. I also respect you as a wonderful young man who is genuine and respectful to all your fans(Dreamers). I wish you much happiness in your life.😘😊🥰
i love how Christian is so into what he says. Then the interviewer couldn't be less interested... he looks more on his phone and the camera/ himself then actually listen and being apart of the conversation.... he just dont seem genuinely interested in what he has to say, "ahh, okay, yeah, mhm".
This guy has interviewed him many times. Even went on an early tour and recorded a great video about DPR. The questions he asked and from fans were on his phone. He said that many times.
I've said this so many times but I appreciate you giving him a safe space to express his thoughts. He's not the type to just give a straight answer, he has to explain why his answer is HIS answer & I appreciate that bc we can get to understand his pov & his way of processing & understanding things. Loved the questions you chose & the few you asked as well! Would love to get a DPR vinyl 😭 Thank you Jre! (lowkey... would love if you did this with Scott or Dabin but they're currently on tour 😭)
Those Bobby and MIno's music videos are still the best solo music videos ive ever seen, they are so ahead of that time, they need to be recognized by more people in the industry and the public. DPR Ian you are just something else.
Lowkey can see Christian eventually putting together one of those multisensory art exhibits with his music, videography, and whatever other art forms he delves into Something like those "Beyond Van Gogh" or Superblue in Miami
Christian's music inspired me to write again about how I was feeling. I ended up writing multiple pages describing what it was like in my mind (almost eerily similar to what Christian describes, which is why it inspired me) and I ended up emailing it to my therapist. It was the first time I was ever REALLY open up with her. In fact Seraph is the song I linked to her and said it described what I felt perfectly. Like I was setting my wings on fire. My next appointment she ended up crying because she was so proud of me for telling her all of it and said she thought Christian's music was so sad yet so beautiful. Because of this, we totally flipped how I was being treated and we are looking into a bipolar diagnosis. I've been going to therapy for over 13 years now and I only just now feel I'm actually being treated in a way that helps me. I give 90% of the credit for that to Christian. I never would have written that message and opened up to my therapist fully without his music. So thank you Christian
Holy shit, he may have just solved why I keep losing creative inspiration. I'm going to try to implement that amazing advice. Jesus, I love this man. Life would be less vivid and meaningful without his art and his words. Amazing video series! Loved the dynamic between both.
I don't think I've ever related so much with a celebrity or public figure as much as I relate with Ian. tbh it's interesting/impressive/shocking to me too. probably THE reason why his work is equally soothing and triggering. like how can you be soothed and triggered at the same time? who knows. I didn't even know it was possible, yet here i am.
Watching this series and getting to understand not only him as a person but as an artist and what he is trying to portray through his art is so beautiful and honestly so refreshing to watch! This brought me to tears, thank you for making this series 🫶🏻
When I first watched the MITO movie I absolutely fell in love with the production and style of the music, then I moved into the albums and can’t stop listening
Thank you for asking my mom's question to Christian! She said that even though the answer is simple, it's helped her become more determined to take that first step. And thank you for the effort you put into all of your work. You are appreciated Jre!
This is so dope, I legit am so hype rn. Ian’s music and message of the two albums is so cool and intricate. That and the community that you find from the music are so comfortable. It is nice to have a little community you can call a safe space from music. Thanks for letting us ask questions and for letting him showcase MIITO.
I really enjoyed hearing Ian explain his story and etc! Also really loved the comfortable vibe, literally felt like we were all sitting around on a couch just chilling haha!
23:30 I experienced this last week I started to compare myself with my peers and especially being in a creative field of study it’s really debilitating when you do that and question your skill/talent. Ian’s so right about focusing on you and what’s next instead of thinking too far ahead bc that definitely does overwhelm anyone anyway so happy to hear this coming from him :’)
I went to my fist metal show in several years after being over seas. And when the pit finally opened up, I was but also wasn't surprised at just how much I missed the chaotic, beautiful energy of it.
It's just so comforting and inspiring to hear him talk about his craft. I've dreampt of being a musician for years, but I've only recently found the type of sound I want to cultivate. I love how Ian says you need stop caring about what people think and the certain standard you need to meet, because that's exactly it. The moment I became my own person and stopped obsessing over what everyone else thought is the moment the relationship with my music became real and important. I'm still exploring where I want to be with my music, but that's the beauty of it. Out of anyone right now, Ian is definitely my biggest inspiration. I'm in love with his music, storytelling, etc. and his pure love and dedication for what he does. I can't wait to see what else he has in store for the future. 🖤
I have noticed how far Ian has come and hearing how he grew up is interesting. I'm glad I grew up on music from like the 60s-90s and 80-90s are my favorite type of music. I got to enjoy every genre and different languages and even if I didn't know what was being said I could still enjoy it. I do the same with movies I always analyze and critique It . From the artistic standpoint I am a person whose always paid attention to even the little details in everything. My mind is always racing with thoughts and it's a lot; that might be why I have word blocks are talk in a way that doesn't always reach others or make sense. I feel that, I hear specific sounds to , sometimes a whistle or buzz and whisper. It's oamy to be vulnerable and show different sides of yourself but it's not east and it takes time. A lot of us build walls sometimes unconsciously. I'm learning to love myself and just take it day by day with how I feel and not try to put too much on myself. I agree with Ian when talking about how we view people and thinking too highly of a perosn that we devalue ourselves. I forget that not everyone knows what some celebrities did before where they are now, some singers started out as actors or some actors started out as models or backup dancers. I like these questions that are deep and good questions. He was supposed to work with Seventeen , damn that wild. Body and Holup are my songs so are movie and wake me up . It's funny when I watch music videos I always say I wonder who produced and directed this because this was beautifully edited like the entire thing was shot and executed so nice that I pay attention all details and I say I love this about it I love this about it, knowing that it was Christian makes me feel even happier because he did an amazing job with all of the projects that he did and all of the mutant videos came out so good.
that moment where you think holy shit this man has TASTE and you note all the bands names down for your millenial self to go out and get some new music experiences O______O
It's so amazing to be able to hear how Ian thinks and see things. It truly is art in itself. My fav interview he did was the recent one with Zach (radio show) and still is. The details he was explaining in that interview made me drop my mouth and have some woah moments. So much love to ian❤
dre, it took months for me to finally finish this 3 parts hahahahha which is I actually focused on every little conversation u both had. so glad you are able to do this. hopefully there will be more contents for their next album bcs we are definitely DPR Dreamers. tqqqqq so much❤🎉 cannot wait for Insanity upcoming soon (maybe) hahaha. DPR we gang gang
I revisited this interview today and it's so good. Christian and I are close in age and all of the bands he mentioned completely brought me back. He's right - hardcore and metal was life. Both of you are the kind of people I'd gladly sit back with and talk philosophy, psychology, life and music. I'm really hoping to go to DPR Ian's show in Chicago next month.
The guitar is beautiful and the concert was amazing in Atlanta. I like that we have a safe space where we can talk about anything from our likes and dislikes to mental health. That's part of the reason why I love his music like I can relate , given I could have a personality disorder or adhd but I won't know because I haven't gotten tested or diagnosed for it. I love when an artist isn't afraid to let us in and talk about stuff going on in their lives, we can talk about how we feel depressed or anxious , spaced out or just empty. How soemtimes it's hard to find inspiration for something or how we find it hard to get out of bed or out of a funk . I get where Ian is coming from in what he says and feels. I'm on the I can feel a person's emotions in almost in empathic way like I could cry from seeing someone cry . Red hot Chilli peppers is good we have similar music taste. I kind of grew up on like punk rock and alt music. My siblings would play like PATD, FOB,Evanescence, Paramore,Linkin Park, 3 Days Grace, MCR fan. I used to want to go to Van's Warped Tour but because I was not of age I couldn't ever go to the concerts. Jazz is good, classical music, I'm a suckered for music with a lot of instruments like drums, piano, guitar, saxophone. He's not that old all my siblings are in there early 30s and I'm in my early 20s.
Thanks JREDAY for this, absolutely love it 💜 I'm so happy to see you guys together having fun and at the same time exchanging thoughts that are so interesting for us
It's really fascinating the person ian is. Like i truely feel connected or more to say feel related to what he means and what he tries to explain Like i do go through some sort of these stuff And the creativity that just comes in, it feels so much different for an artist than poeple that don't feel artistic... And the fact that he is SUCH a unique human being, that makes me feel comforted becuase i feel some of the things he feels ALSO it's more understandable becuase he is a virgo/pieces kind of a guy and it is JUST what he is as a person that makes it feel very amusing i guess
That was really nice and informative. Thanks for having him and making him so comfortable JRE. I hope your future projects on this channel turn out well .
The first like 12 minutes got me having flashbacks to flipping through mine or random family members' CD binders when I was a kid... Always enjoy this type of content Jre. None of the videos in this series felt as long as they were and I'm looking forward to more content like this in the future!
Ian is such a treasure istg this man's mind never fails to fascinate me hes such an inspiring artist i cant wait to see more of his works in the future im already a huge fan of DPR ian ad this video made me sure to support them even more than before
Aahh thank you so much for this video Jre!! 😌 It’s so cool listening to Christian explain his creative process, inspirations, and life experiences! He’s so much more motivational than he probably thinks he is 😅 Love hearing y’all chat & have fun! 🫶🏻 I would love to interview him one day, he is so interesting, witty, and charming! 😊
I watched all 3 videos and loved this whole interview/podcast!! Thank you JRE, and shout out to Ian - you're the coolest. The album is amazing, playing it on repeat these days. 🥰 I truly appreciate the details, the story and visuals too. These wonderful creations, can't see wait to see / hear what comes next. 🤍
whenever i see Christian's interviews i can feel how genuine he is and how much he loves what he does and his art, its so touching and it helped me so much, especially last year that it was the year that i found him and i was really depressed, his musics were so comforting and just his presence in general was so good and comforting, ily Christian and i hope you always stay happy and healthy and do what you love, you helped so many people and i hope that when you need you allow to be helped as well im proud of you and thank you 🤍🫶🏽
These three parts were AMAZING! Thank you JRE! I could listen to you both talking for hours lol you have great friendship chemistry together! I discovered so much more about the miito story! Honestly I would pay to read a book what's going on Ian's mind haha and omg when Ian said that he was proud of his fans!! I'm so soft for this it's sooooo sweet omg I'm cryiing! Dreamers are prouf of you too Ian!!
31:15 Duuude if you're going to do a metal collab I would love to see you do something with Polaris. They're the biggest thing in the Aussie metalcore scene for the last couple of years, they have 2 vocalists, one does primal metal screams, and the other has almost a pop-punk vibe. Add your vocals into that mix and it would be 😩😳🥵
Thank you so much for this content! It was a amazing series. I love how comfortable you both are through all the videos. I for sure are going back to this video from time to time. Again thank you! Love u Love Ian
I can not imagine Ian in the pit but he called out soooo many good bands that had some hard af crowds. I can’t help but love his personality and hope he goes very far.

Love him so much🤍
I seriously love that song and it hits different for me ❤
@@staaa5531 I know right? Out of all the beautiful songs he produced nerves feels so right

Its so cute how Christian looks over to John when he can’t get his words out
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO LIVE OUR DREAM JRE😢
I am hugging Christian from afar since day one, I truly adore him as a human and an artist, he is the BEST.
Every time he gives an example, he creates another example to explain the first one and so on with each example, kkkk. love you so much.

I can't believe a celeb q&a video can make me this much happy. This man is so different for me.
Thanks JREDAY for this, absolutely love it 💜 I'm so happy to see you guys together having fun and at the same time exchanging thoughts that are so interesting for us
the purest thing on the internet right now thank u both
27:45 my God my question I'm having chills rn WOW
It's really fascinating the person ian is.
Like i truely feel connected or more to say feel related to what he means and what he tries to explain
Like i do go through some sort of these stuff And the creativity that just comes in, it feels so much different for an artist than poeple that don't feel artistic...
And the fact that he is SUCH a unique human being, that makes me feel comforted becuase i feel some of the things he feels
ALSO it's more understandable becuase he is a virgo/pieces kind of a guy and it is JUST what he is as a person that makes it feel very amusing i guess

Add your vocals into that mix and it would be 😩😳🥵
Jre: No preasure
Ian: *effortlessly playinh
haha that recalling when a song came out followed by “damn I’m old” is so goddam relatable 😂
