Ahhh Cath here, reminiscing about her boys running on that same beach in the 80's. Sidi Kaouki apart from the beach, consisted of a few small houses with no electricity. Beautiful carpentry, boxes, furniture etc was being made there. We had two tables made all with beautiful workmanship. When we tried to pay it was refused and told they were gifts. In the early hours of our last morning there, a huge earth quake occured. My youngest then 4 said "lets drive off" which was funny as we couldnt even stand up!! Next morning we found out that all the people from the small huts had slept ouside. Our converted coach literally floated in the air, it was surreal. Thankfully lasted only 10/15min. We were invited for breakfast which was joined by so many of the locals, all talking about the tremor. We left leaving gifts as a token of our gratitude. With smiles, tears and hearts full of love we waved, they waved and to this day remains a special time and place for me and my sons. Wish you continued happy travels, all the best, 👍
Hi Cath and wow that is so special! Incredible memories and precious physical gifts too. That is quite a story about the earthquake! We really enjoyed the small village feel (there still really isn’t much there) and the beach is just perfect for kids to be running on! ♥️ I wonder how much has changed…
Sidi Kaouki is a lovely peaceful spot, I was there in the 2015 returning from Dakhla driving north, stopped by every place you've visited already.. Enjoy your trip and be safe.. 14:24 The bread wasn't for 5 dhs Harry. It was for 1.20. It's the same price everywhere for that type of bread. Tomato was for 3 dhs, Avocados were the expensive item. The total was 23.20 dhs..
I suggest that you go to Taroudant, to the palace of the international painter Claudio Bravo, who loved Morocco and resided there. It is now available to visitors, and you can stay overnight there and visit his museum, which is unique. This artist left his artistic touch not in Morocco, but in the hearts of Moroccans
Une autre question pour les enfants, Hé Harry et Oscar. Quelle est la ville que vous avez aimé le plus depuis que vous êtes en tournée au Maroc...??? 😎😎😎
I still remember when you were in delhi, you guys came to me and said that if i used youtube and made me subscribed to your channel. Back then you had 5k subscribers i guess, honestly I didn’t watched your vlogs because i was busy but today when i was randomly checking my subscribers list, i saw your name and i am so happy that you’ve grown a lot and i watched many vlogs of yours. They are so good. Keep up the good work. So happy for you
The Steiners are enjoying life in Morocco, Sidi Kaouki. We miss Sarah in this vlog, hope she is fine and comme back again, she is amazing in the video. Enjoy fishs especialy grills.
You are welcome. I follow your videos. They are wonderful and very beautiful. But you have to enter the center of Morocco. Also, there are very beautiful nature and mountains, such as Marrakesh, Ouarzazate and Fez.
such a cool family however when you see a road like the one you were walking on in 16:00 dont walk so close to it its very dangerous because when cars encouter each other on it coming from oposite directions they tend to go offroad with two wheels off road and two wheels on pavement so that both cars can pass threw since the road is very small have fun out there !
Bizarre!!!
@@AwaywiththeSteiners You are very welcome, welcome to all parts of the Kingdom of Morocco. We met in the city to day , after you left the McDonald's restaurant about your purchase of sweets.
WOW the distance to the waterline from the beach 🤗 makes it a neat place to work out 🔥 its a long way for the water to catch up ❤️ unlike here in SL where the water always gets us 😍
You know? Sometimes you show us places that are only known by the locals. They are not considered as a tourist destination, but according to your videos they are worth visiting!
Geronimo. Exactly, that is what makes those places special. Thing is they often eventually become yet another beach for surfers and free campers who often fail to see what beauty is there in the calm, simplicity. I am just a pensioner who sees the changes of places and attitudes not all good in my mind. Like this family very much. Refreshing to see. ✌️
u wrong dude hehe the bread cost ya only 1.20dh and when ya gave him 5 dh he get ya back the rest which is 3.80dh so total cost ya 22+1.20 means 23.20dh nor 27dh ;)
