UPDATE ON THE FOUNDATION: We stayed up until 2am watching movies for New Years, so I had the foundation on for 14 hours. When I went to wash my face last night, it looked GREAT for being on 14 hours. I was NOT expecting that at all with a powder foundation. I will DEFINITELY continue to use it and wear it, and I'll fully update you on this foundation. If you like this one, and you want to try another in 2021 I love the Shiseido refreshing powder foundation. It is a great light/medium coverage. Blurs pores. Mine stands up to minor mask wearing-like pop into the grocery store and the home. Thank you for this video. I might try the Fenty in 2021. 🙂

They launched the powder foundation at the wrong time 😂 when I ordered my armani powder foundation 💔😂 I would love see your top choices for powder foundations, I know you have a dry skin and I can tell you don't really prefer them, but I trust your insight! No enough good reviews/vids dedicated for these specifically! And I have another suggestion for a vid, is it possible to do one for top multitasking friendly eyeshadow palettes? For example ritualistic rose Astral quad from PML.. Great video..as always. I went to Sephora to see about shade matching, as its difficult to get the right undertone off a website. I picked out the shade 220, then bless the salesperson's heart she said no..no...i think you're 110 (big difference!) and she was right. I love power anything, even with my dry skin. I am AMAZED at how wonderful it looks. Does not settle in fine lines and wears like a dream.

Tara I just wanted to share a hack I have for the self tanner hand situation. I use clean touch hair color remover. If your skin is sensitive or dry, I use baby oil first and then use the clean touch or color touch (I get it at sally beauty supply).. it’s to remove hair color from skin. But it works really well to fix any self tan mistakes to soften it. Love watching your videos!! Happy new year! 🎊

That Viseart eyeshadow palette is pretty. 🥰 I’m really interested in seeing more on powder foundations that work on dry/normal (hate to say it) mature skin. I don’t use them all the time but they are handy to have in my collection for when I’m in a hurry or need more coverage over a light foundation. 😊 You should check out the video Mandy Davis just put up ranking about 10 powder foundations. She suggests stippling with a brush before buffing it in. I haven’t heard anyone mention the Blendiful in a while. I don’t use mine for applying makeup but it is handy for a final blend or sweeping away fallout. I keep the mini in my bag for touch ups. Happy new year Tara. May 2021 be kind to you. I use powder foundation daily and I recommend using 2 different shades of concealer- one for the under eyes and one for hiding spots that's your skin shade. It's a Robert Welsh recommendation.

I have dry skin too and I’ve been using the Armani Luminous Silk pressed powder foundation for years when I don’t want a full-on liquid foundation or don’t have the time. I use it alone, on top of a dewy cream/ primer or on top of a tinted moisturiser/ spf. I use the Sonia G. Smooth Buffer brush. I think you should try the Fenty powder with the Smooth Buffer, I think you would get more coverage and still a very smooth and natural application. Maybe you could give this a try if you do a dedicated review of the Fenty foundation? 💫
I always , always fall back on my fave Shiseido powder foundation since 1995-gives you an idea how good it is! Japanese brands, especially an established skincare & cosmetics house like Shiseido are always ahead of the curve with technology & extensively researched releases. It’s my true OG! Refillable packaging for years & formulations for different skin-types. They carry a cream to powder iteration for dry skin & a powder one you can use wet or dry depending on coverage needs. The longer it’s on the skin the better it looks. I can sweat , swim, cry in it & stays put ,but it feels light as air. Never cakes on my skin or my Mum’s, who uses the cream to powder & loves it ,even though she has more mature , dry & dehydrated skin type. If Fenty can compete , I’ll surely try it! I’m curious ! See the reason I love the new Natasha Denona lip liners is that they will not budge lol. They are creamy but manage to stay put which I’ve found to be really impressive. The color you chose in it though I think is maybe a tad dark for your skintone and to match peachy lipsticks? I think she has lighter shades of the lip liner too that maybe is better suited to your skin tone and also the color of lipsticks you prefer to wear?
I use powder foundation in the summer. I have dry skin in the winter. My face sweats like crazy when I watch my son play baseball. Powder foundation is ideal for those conditions. My face is too dry this time of year to handle a powder foundation. Thanks for this video. I will look into this Fenty powder foundation. I like that they offer so many shades.

I am going to pick up the Viseart palette. I have the Natasha Denona Bronze palette. That is the only bronze palette that I own. Viseart is a bit softer and not so in your face. I like Viseart for my day to day looks. Viseart just works on my mature lids. I can wear Natasha, Pat McGrath, Sydney Grace, and other heavy shimmer shades. I just have to be careful with my application.

Man i wish i would of bought the powder foundation now lol i had a $50 gift card i got a $100 and a $50 Sephora gift card for Christmas and spent the $100 one then the 1st i used the $50 was going to get it since when i decide to wear a foundation its always my makeup forever powder foundation or my lancome stick but i want something more veil like and read so many good reviews on the fenty one and now wish i would have got it lol oh well I'll buy it the 8th!! I’m so glad to watch this because since I’m more dry I’m so worried to try the Fenty but so curious. Even as as a blurring powder perhaps. I haven’t worn powder foundation since Studio Fix from MAC. 😳😳😳 I saw Amrezy’s review and I was like what? She put this over the liquid foundation! Talk about cake face for me!! But then again you never know?
I have this powder foundation, I actually use the Fenty cream contour over the foundation and it works fine. It’s a powder foundation that doesn’t know it’s a powder 😄
First...Happy New Year! You give such an honest view of things it's saved me a lot of headache (and $$!). Second....I'm always on the hunt for a non-powdery/cakey looking powder foundation for those days when I don't have time for a liquid, etc. This looks like it fits the bill! Wow love the foundation and eyeshadow! Really like how detailed you are at explaining things. Going to try the powder foundation and follow your suggestions as so far I haven't been able to use powder foundations without it looking cakey.

I think many many women between the ages of 40-55 NOW, wore Bare Minerals powdered foundation! Remember buying it on QVC when the owner Leslie was on there, and Lisa was the host? Those were the days 😆😂❤ I had SO many pots of eye shadows it was crazy. I used the black shadow as liner EVERY DAY! I had the hardest time with liquid foundation after that!

I use powder foundation daily and I recommend using 2 different shades of concealer- one for the under eyes and one for hiding spots that's your skin shade. It's a Robert Welsh recommendation.

Happy New Year, Tara! I used to use the Bare Minerals loose powder makeup too! I prefer liquid foundation now as well, but that powder foundation by Fenty Beauty is so lovely on you! The new Viseart eyeshadow palette is absolutely gorgeous on you! I love the peach shadow with the gold shift! Personally, I was thinking spring with that, but maybe it’s because I’m ready for spring already! 😝

Hi Tara! Thanks for the review. I have dry skin too and I’ve been using the Armani Luminous Silk pressed powder foundation for years when I don’t want a full-on liquid foundation or don’t have the time. I use it alone, on top of a dewy cream/ primer or on top of a tinted moisturiser/ spf. I use the Sonia G. Smooth Buffer brush. I think you should try the Fenty powder with the Smooth Buffer, I think you would get more coverage and still a very smooth and natural application. Maybe you could give this a try if you do a dedicated review of the Fenty foundation? 💫
I always , always fall back on my fave Shiseido powder foundation since 1995-gives you an idea how good it is! Japanese brands, especially an established skincare & cosmetics house like Shiseido are always ahead of the curve with technology & extensively researched releases.

Refillable packaging for years & formulations for different skin-types. They carry a cream to powder iteration for dry skin & a powder one you can use wet or dry depending on coverage needs.
The longer it’s on the skin the better it looks.
I can sweat , swim, cry in it & stays put ,but it feels light as air. Never cakes on my skin or my Mum’s, who uses the cream to powder & loves it ,even though she has more mature , dry & dehydrated skin type.
If Fenty can compete , I’ll surely try it! I’m curious !

See the reason I love the new Natasha Denona lip liners is that they will not budge lol. They are creamy but manage to stay put which I’ve found to be really impressive. The color you chose in it though I think is maybe a tad dark for your skintone and to match peachy lipsticks? I think she has lighter shades of the lip liner too that maybe is better suited to your skin tone and also the color of lipsticks you prefer to wear?
I use powder foundation in the summer. I have dry skin in the winter. My face sweats like crazy when I watch my son play baseball. Powder foundation is ideal for those conditions. My face is too dry this time of year to handle a powder foundation. Thanks for this video. I will look into this Fenty powder foundation. I like that they offer so many shades.
hi tara, i tried the fenty powder foundation on my oily skin and it wore beautifully all day and i didn’t even spray my face! the makeup turned out beautifully... even with the bronzer! TFS!

I am going to pick up the Viseart palette. I have the Natasha Denona Bronze palette. That is the only bronze palette that I own. Viseart is a bit softer and not so in your face. I like Viseart for my day to day looks. Viseart just works on my mature lids. I can wear Natasha, Pat McGrath, Sydney Grace, and other heavy shimmer shades. I just have to be careful with my application.

Man i wish i would of bought the powder foundation now lol i had a $50 gift card i got a $100 and a $50 Sephora gift card for Christmas and spent the $100 one then the 1st i used the $50 was going to get it since when i decide to wear a foundation its always my makeup forever powder foundation or my lancome stick but i want something more veil like and read so many good reviews on the fenty one and now wish i would have got it lol oh well I'll buy it the 8th!! But i use the applicator in the makeup forever powder foundation first then go in with a brush over with more foundation and it works beautiful! Hope you had a good new year's!! 💋

Happy New Year! I had the Fenty in my hands at Sephora but I went with the Ilia foundation just to try it because where I I live we have Fenty but not Ilia. I’m so glad to watch this because since I’m more dry I’m so worried to try the Fenty but so curious. Even as as a blurring powder perhaps. I haven’t worn powder foundation since Studio Fix from MAC. 😳😳😳 I saw Amrezy’s review and I was like what? She put this over the liquid foundation! Talk about cake face for me!! But then again you never know?
I have this powder foundation, I actually use the Fenty cream contour over the foundation and it works fine. It’s a powder foundation that doesn’t know it’s a powder 😄

First...Happy New Year! You give such an honest view of things it's saved me a lot of headache (and $$!). Second....I'm always on the hunt for a non-powdery/cakey looking powder foundation for those days when I don't have time for a liquid, etc. This looks like it fits the bill! Also, I'm such a huge fan of Viseart, and the ND Bronze was just sooooo redundant that I ended up giving it away. That leaves me with hole in my collection to possibly get the Viseart Minxette! How do you think that one compares to the Spritz edit? I love that one for the summer but don't want too many dupes.....
