Side note: This video is part of my series where I tackle the Double Garrador boss fight using only the Bolt Thrower. It's a self-imposed challenge, and over time, I've introduced slight variations to it. For instance, sometimes I allow myself to use flash grenades, while other times, I don't. Occasionally, I permit attachable mines on the bolts, but in some runs, I skip those as well. In this video, however, I’ll show you how to beat the Double Garrador boss fight using only bolts - no exceptions. It’s the most fun this way!
Yeah...! :D They do attack each other! :P In some cases, one can actually kill the other - but only if you've already dealt enough damage beforehand. I feel like if they really only reacted to sound and the coding was a bit tighter, the Garradors should, in theory, just tear each other apart!
Yes, right! :D I thought it was strange too… after all, the Bolt Thrower isn’t exactly quiet! Even melee attacks on the cultists don’t seem to bother the Garradors. But the moment you throw more than two flash grenades or step over that invisible line near the benches, all hell breaks loose! 😂
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! It truly is a fun challenge! I’ve kept the save file, so I can always return if I feel like clearing the antechamber this way. I also love keeping my attaché case tidy! :D
I began collecting items early in the game for a full Bolt Thrower Only run. You could also equip the Cat Ears and use any weapon you like to blast through the game without worrying about ammo. This way, you can gather all the materials for bolts and even optimize the drop rate of large resources by selecting the black attache case!
Yes, in my opinion, it is a good weapon - but it takes some time to get used to! I mean, it has a rather low fire rate, and one bolt alone doesn't do much damage. So, you always need to have a plan in mind. But once you realize you can stagger almost any enemy with a couple of shots to the legs or head, it’s game time! I love seeing enemies get staggered by a headshot and then finishing them off with a melee attack. And don’t even get me started on the attachable mines... If you use them, the Bolt Thrower is awesome. The only fights where it really failed me were Verdugo and Saddler. I even did a couple of videos on that. The explosives just don’t do much damage to Verdugo…
@@Ledzepisbest1 Strongly disagree. In my opinion, I wouldn’t say that any weapon in the game is outright bad. Sure, you can argue that some weapons make it easier to take down enemies compared to others, but that alone isn’t really a valid criterion. I think you just need to spend more time with certain weapons to truly understand their full potential.
Some of them just break, usually when shooting straight into the mouth of a Plaga Mandibula. Some others break when you shoot the exposed parasite on a Garrador's back!
Well… if the game had a rifle like that to offer, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second! Btw… toothpick thrower… You just made me laugh so much! 😄Thx for that!
Enemies stanfing just to get shot... Terrible AI. In Shade: Wrath Of Angels medieval enemies were made way better. And we are talking of a game made 20 years ago!
True! I still had a lot of fun with the game! But like you said… the enemies really feel like shooting gallery targets! I didn’t play Wrath of Angels! It’s honestly amazing that there were such good games back then… Damn! “Back then”… crazy… Twenty years, really? Feels like it was just yesterday!

Couldn't have picked a more appropriate outfit & weapon for this medieval zone! Good stuff!
Thanks, bro! I really appreciate it! 😄 Comments like yours keep me motivated!
You’re absolutely mad bro. I love it!
@@aroundthefur1210 Damn, fella :D Another comment that makes me so happy! :D Thank you so much!
4:45 i couldn't stop laughing, that was too beautiful garrador attacking his own guy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💪💯

I didn't even realize they couldn't hear the bolt thrower, lol

Haha yeah that's pretty funny.
Nice job! Inventory looks awesome, this seems like a really fun challenge run

Don Hector with his shoes on the desk: "Took you long enooough"
Well... :D using only bolts really slows down the boss fight... Thx for the comment! :D
I didn't realize I could use those bells until after it took me an hour to kill these two
Damn! 😅 I had a hard time at the beginning too!
Had this game on the Nintendo WII and gotta say it`s one of the best games ever made. I kept the console just for that game. Absolute masterpiece.
Couldn't agree more...!!! It truly is a masterpiece...!!!

How did you get so many bolts and mines?

i never used the bolt thrower ever, is it actually any good?

Not a good weapon. Only benefit it comes with is unlimited ammo that fires silently. Hordes of enemies will overwhelm player 80% of the time.
Imo most powerful weapon in the game. You can cheese the whole game with it if you know how.
@@KingExplorer107 Facts. Absolutely agree! Imo the Bolt Thrower makes the game so much more fun! Did you try it on Verdugo?

I'd rather pick a lever action 1886 Winchester rifle over this bs nonsense toothpick thrower.

Picking the Bolt Thrower doesn’t necessarily make things easier, but it definitely makes them a whole lot more fun! 😄
