I'm really glad to hear that! It feels like there are hardly any people who like the Bolt Thrower. Yet, it brings out the best aspects of the game. Precise handling and situational awareness are absolutely essential. If you've got those skills down, the best gameplay emerges, in my opinion!
I just got all the trophies in this game l today. I got Hardcore S+ completed with. I struggled with over an hour on this part, and to see this from you is sick. GG!
Thanks, I really appreciate it! I had a lot of fun with RE4! This video is already more than half a year old, and I still get comments on it from time to time. It makes me happy every time! I crafted the mines in advance for the Verdugo boss fight. I think I have a video somewhere where I fight Verdugo using only the Bolt Thrower.
@@kendosencarta Every weapon has a different multiplier for headshots, handguns have 1.2x while other guns 1.5x to 3x. But no difference for Bolt Thrower in terms of damage, but it's evident that headshots still stagger enemies with the Bolt Thrower so it's not completely useless.
@@arhamsaa Oh yeah, that makes sense! I didn't even consider the bonus damage for the Bolt Thrower at all! I just knew from experience that you can stagger the enemies, and that always seemed very practical to me in case you want to take them out with a melee attack! Thanks anyway for your explanation!
Not completely true the values are just so much lower than the rest that you can't really tell until you shoot the actual plagas with it it's slight but it's there also there's mods on the PC for health bars if you use that you will understand what I'm talking about it's mainly a stagger but you can't hit criticals because only the mines have the power of gunpowder
Well, I didn’t count how many bolts it took me to take down all the enemies! It doesn’t matter anyway because you can pick up most of your bolts for further use! And yes… the firepower SUCKS ^^ Thanks for the comment!
Myself I just played that today. Perhaps since I shot a gun from the start they were out there running. I smashed them all, but I got hit severa times. I don't know how he has so many arrows... Regarding the garradors I killed one easily but the second one was though since it wasn't enough hitting it on the back, it needed to be very precise onto the parasite.
Yeah, you definitely need quite a few bolts, that's true! But if you start collecting resources early in the game, you'll make it work! Well, as for the Antechamber (the double Garrador room), you really should only fire a few shots at the beginning before the Garradors break free. With the bolt thrower, however, you can avoid that. Just make sure you don't get too close to the chained Garradors. Oh yeah, and don't forget to collect resources for attachable mines! With those, you can easily take out the armored Garrador!
If you struggle with the Double Garrador boss fight, you might not want to try the Bolt Thrower! There are several much easier strategies for this area. A very consistent strategy is to take out the cultists with a rifle as soon as you enter the room, and then go up the stairs on the left. From there, take out the remaining cultists with the rifle and shoot the bell. When the Garradors run into the corner, throw a flash grenade. Then you can calmly hit their parasites on the back!
Running doesn't set off the Garradors in this room at first, only if you cross a certain point at the wooden table close to them. Once they're unleashed from their chains, though, they'll definitely pick up on your running sounds! Thanks for watching!
I've made dozens of guides for this room, all uploaded as YT Shorts! Most strategies also work in a New Game! Anyway, try it with the Stingray and the Standard Scope. Take out the first enemies right from the entrance and then take the stairs on the left. From there, shoot at the bell and wait for the Garradors to approach the corner. This way, you can calmly hit the parasites on the backs! Let me know if it works for you! ^^
Am i the only one confused as to why even with running and kicking those jacked up wolverine guys are not breaking out from their chains tet? Are you telling me all i had to do was use the crossbow this whole time to keep them asleep?
Yes, essentially that’s how it is! With the Bolt Thrower, you can take out all the Ganados at your leisure without alerting the Garradors. You just can’t get too close to the Garradors. And as soon as you use a second Flash Grenade, they’ll break free. Btw there are plenty of other, much easier methods to defeat the Double Garrador, though. I’ve got a whole playlist on that if you’re interested! ; )
Neither! The R.P.D. uniform is a secret unlockable! Once you've completed all the conventional challenges and collected all available models, you'll see that there's still one square left empty among the models! If you want the skin, you need to play through Mercenaries!
@@kendosencarta Not yet, I have more levels to complete. But due to studies, I have to leave the console for a while. But thanks for your interest in my progress.
I understand your point! Still, I labeled it "Stealth" because the Garradors couldn't pinpoint my location. Of course, the mines make explosive noises, but it also causes noise in the game when you knock over the Zealots... Strictly speaking, the Zealots shouldn't even see you to really talk about true stealth. Thanks for watching, and thanks for commenting!
Well, I titled the video 'Stealth' because the Garradors can't hear the weapon's trigger mechanism, so they couldn't locate me! And that's what it is about! Thanks for watching!
@Amazontimsahi Whether it makes sense or not depends on what your strategy is focused on. And no one said that this is about a strategy for a New Game S+ run. In this video, it's simply about securing a tactically challenging room with a difficult-to-master weapon.
This was the moment where i fully upgraded my crossbow and never looked back.

The bolt thrower doesn't do any bonus damage to the head so no point taking your time aiming for the head.
Oh okay, I didn't know that! Are you sure? At least I had the impression that it makes a difference whether you land a body hit or a headshot!
